You have to pay for it. It's a nice add-on, if you really want to make smooth surfaces.

Thank you so much for the nice comment! To select the edge and continue to extrude, select the edge and hit the A key! We like to think of the A key standing for “add” so users can pull something and add geometry to it! You can also use this feature as well with faces. 😊
