@@Retromation for sure man, it was mostly just a joke haha. love your content and The Bazaar, so perfect match! but i can guarantee you that more people watch you for your personality than you think! anyways, thanks for making whatever you make
Retro, when you got the loot items it did give you 4, but because you level up and got more space on the rug two of them ended up on your rug. Working as intended.
If anyone is curious about why the Proboscis can't "trigger itself", I'm like 99% sure that stuff like the Proboscis and the Bayonet that trigger when something happens aren't "used", and, as such, can't interact with things that trigger when something is "used". Based on the behavior I'm observing "use" only counts for when an item cools down or something that has the text "use this" on it like the throwing knives "when you crit: use this." I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like to me...
Seems that the issue at the late stage of the video is that Proboscis has the Weapon tag and interact as one, but the items that need an adjacent weapon to activate need it to be an "active" weapon (with a timer), and not a "passive" or "reaction" weapon.
It specifically says “when you use,” which seems like important verbiage. It seems like activating a weapon’s effect is not the same as “using” it (which is what happens when an item’s timer runs out.)
@@joshuahagstrom6480 It may be as you say, but is not an explicit or intuitive term. And is a very important one to note, because it diferentiates two basic mechanics on wich the game builds. I mean, watching other gameplays, this game needs clarification between active and passive effects and whether they get triggered by one or both.
I hope they add tooltips on items, to explain what things like burn and slow does. Also, things like "upgrade your left-most item" should show you what the upgrade will do.
Yeah they really need to do a pass on the information clarity overall, but so far pretty good. Also for burn/poison, right click any item and it will make it bigger while explaining all the terms.
I am going to take a guess that slow = cards are slower. not sure by what amount but judging from %'s, it is likely 10% or something. Burn is probably burn from most games... which deal damage every turn.
From watching some other videos, I think the issue is they're actively changing how those effects work as they get playtest feedback - like apparently burn used to not be affected by crit chance, but now if an item crits it applies double burn. So they're probably waiting till everything's nailed down before implementing tooltips, so ensure they're giving accurate information.
I agree but for reference. Burn 2 ticks a second damage equal to value (half damage if any shield) decrements on tick. Poison 1 tick per second damage equal to value, decrements on tick. Haste double targeted item activation rate for time equal to value. Slow halves targeted item activation rate for time equal to value. Charge moves the item forward in time equal to amount equal to value (it is not a condition like the others it is a one time effect)
My joy when the bolas went away was made even better by the figurehead add. Was hanging with a friend on call last night when he was trying out an aquatic weapon build and we got the figurehead with a deadly enchantment to give everything a 25% crit chance she did WORK
Wow this game is going to be nutty when it’s ready. Looks like there’s a lot of room for creative archetypes and board building once a lot of people start putting hours into it
I've been waiting on the Bazaar as well, thought it'd never be here! I've watched Kripp and Rarran's videos about it and they seemed to have a blast so I can't wait! :D
Never heard of this game before this video. Looked it up, made by a hearthstone guy (was never into hearthstone so maybe thats why I missed this). Looks like at one point it was going to be a card game before turning into an autobattler.
Bro I said I’d try it out next thing I know it’s morning and I gotta go to work 😂😂 games fantastic. Only cons I can find are the disconnect issues and just overall sluggish feeling transitioning between scenes. But this has so much potential.
im beyond excited to get my hands on it, you wont believe how i literally almost had a trafic accident because i was driving and i saw the notification ( i only saw the noti, wasnt using my phone while driving and im fine lol)
Probosis only deals damage when you activate the 'slow' effect. It is not a weapon that attacks as you can see, there is no timer cooldown on it. It is a conditional weapon.
You can tell Reynad is coming from a place of mechanical interest because there's a lot of things that work certain ways that need experimentation but make sense. The whole, "When you use a weapon" seems to only work based on an item with a cooldown because that's when you're "using" the weapon. The items that say, "when X happens, deal damage" are not being "used" because they're "dealing damage" If bayonet said something like, "When you use the weapon to the left of this, use this weapon" then it would work, but it doesn't because it says it "deals damage".
from what I heard it was in like a month, if the wait is too much you can buy your way in, or look for one of the many giveaways going on since every founder gets a free invite. (before anyone asks, mine is accounted for lol)
I bought it for 33 bucks and don’t regret a thing there’s so much for your buck even now. But these gotta be your type of games in order to get your “Value”
You got confused when the 4 free items from level up show up. So, maybe to prevent confusion, devs should add pop-up of what you get. Just like how it goes when you get free items from event/monster
No, Backpack Battles is a variation of this. The asynchronous autobattler design was lifted by Super Auto Pets / Backpack Battles from the devlogs years ago, and it caused them to stop showing development on RUclips all together.
The card backs, character skins, and different rugs are pay to win? The completely cosmetic goodies are pay to win? Or you mean the currency to unlock the locked characters that you can earn for free instead? Is that pay to win? Or is it the music album? Oh ya bet that’s it. 😂
Backpack battles copied this game. This game was being developed pretty openly until then, but they had to close it off because people were stealing their ideas.
Reynad pulled it off. The crazy bastard actually made Bazaar.

Why did he prefer the throwing dagger over the bolas tho? Bolas was doing double damage and he had the horn to keep it loaded in perpetuity.
@@enmanuelrondon9700 bolas is so much faster and it activated proboscis more often. It's more damage if it worked that way
I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier. You've been playing for like 2 weeks and I loved the first video I saw of it elsewhere.
