I think the C button may allude to a "new" gimmick where the console can wirelessly dock to the TV, with the C standing for Connect. Kind of like how the Wii U gamepad works.
If they add the kind of capture feature you're talking about, wouldn't they just map that function to the already existing capture button? Why have 2 buttons that do almost the exact same thing?

True, maybe if you hold it longer it’ll capture longer. But idk what else that button could be
Will this new game console have solved the drifting issue on the joycon's?
I sure would hope so. I would think Nintendo would improve on that flaw to make the switch 2 an even better console
