FYI 23:28 the green glitching is due to a frame rate issue with editing software. The video provided by Lowrance was at 12 FPS. Even at 15 FPS output on the editor, I couldn't get rid of it. IT'S NOT AN AT2 ISSUE :)
Hi, great video. As i understand the GO9 can be mirrored to a iPhone. Does the NSX ore the Lowrance HDS pro have the same function? Ore at least import/exsport routes and waypoints.
Great informative video! As a Navico Pro-Staff Team Member, I totally agree that “EXPERIENCED” Lowrance users who buy an HDSPRO will not spend the additional money on the S3100. One thing I don’t hear much about is al, the additional weight being added to trolling motor shafts. Most anglers now have an independent turret system to allow the use of Anchor Lock. I already see the additional weight of turrets and extra transducers causing the GHOST to deploy faster than originally designed. Hopefully Lowrance will design a heavy duty gas shock for the GHOST. The additional memory in the HDSPRO is a PLUS! The microprocessor is actually the same as the HDSLIVE UNITS. I am THRILLED to see a 10 inch MFD in the Lineup! Two separate Active Target Transducers and S3100 “may” be a tough sell for the “average” user.
I have two Lowrance HDS LIVE with 1ea S 3100 module, 1ea HD 3-in-1 (HW) Transducer @ Transom and 1ea HD 3-in-1 Ghost Nose Cone Transducer on Trolling Motor. My (?) Do I need two S 3100 or the one is good for 360 @ Bow and Side Scan @ Console.
With a “Ping” issue when running a 2in1 can you just stop sonar on the 2d screen then go into your side scan/downs can pages to get around the ping issue ?
Hi i have an hds 9 carbon on my kayak, and i been looking into upgrading to a hds pro but from what im getting in your video is that i can do about as muchas the pro with my carbon by just buying the 3100 module and transducer? So instead of spending 3500 for a hds 12 pro i can just spend 1500 on the 3100 module and transducer?
Hii... i want to buy a AT 2 and the fishfinder. In your opinion should i buy the At2 + hds live 16 or HDs Pro 12 ? Or go to the garmin lvs34 ? Best regards
I would go AT2 with the HDS Live 16 over the HDS 12 Pro. However the LVS34 is probably still going to be the best. In which case I would get GPSMAP 8600 series unit
I currently own HDS 3 units and have been interested in upgrading. In your opinion, should I just upgrade to the live system which is seriously discounted or go with the pro system for recreational bass fishing.
Question: The new HD Pro 16 inch unit is around $5000. I see that BassPro has a HD LIVE unit that says it includes Active Imaging for $4199 (could this be correct that Active Imaging is included. I am assuming Active Imaging is built in and you would not need the S3100 for this Live unit? I don't want the extra box in the boat..... If all of this is true, I think it would be a good choice for me as I really don't need the overlay feature and really don't care about the fish reveal feature for side scan. What do you think? UPDATE: I see the Live unit has Active Imaging but only has support for "HD Active Imaging". Think I just answered my question. I see the difference now. Thank you.
If a person buys a HDS pro, do you still need a s3100 for a AIHD on my live units or does the pro transfer the AIHD to the other units without it? Not looking for fish reveal. Thanks for your video.
If you don’t want fish reveal then no the AIHD will hook right up to the HDS PRO. I’ve been told this by my Lowrance pro. If you have a HDS Live then you’ll need the module for the AIHD. Hope that helps. 👍
I bought the HDS pro 10. I hooked up the AIHD transducer to my pro unit, connected to the pro unit to my live units with the Ethernet. The AIHD works on all the live units after I did the updates. Fish reveal does not work as I do not have the s3100.
If you are running the frist gen Acvite Target, Do you have to fully upgrade both transducer and black box or well we just be able to upgrade the transducer and a software update?
If you want active target 2, does the HDS pro still require the active target 2 module or does the active target 2 xducer connect directly to the HDS pro? If you still need the module for the HDS pro, wouldn't you be better off buying a used carbon or even a new closeout HDS live if you just want active target 2?
If you only plan to use 1 AT then yes you'd be better off with a Live or Carbon. But if you want to use the dual setup you'll need the Pro. Yes you'll need the AT module regardless of the unit you get.
Will active imaging 3-1 hd work on a hds live without the s3100? Not looking for fish reveal or active target just a higher def in the side scan. Thanks
Is there any difference between CPU and the screen? (LIVE/PRO), and is there any better changes between regular sonar? I usualy fishing in deeper sea, 50-150m(100m=300f) and use Airmar ss175m(1KW) transducer, and I am werry interesting is there any better changes between live and pro for my style! TNX and tnx for great rewiew!
I tried to find out from the top guys at Lowrance but they would answer me. The HDS Live 7 and 9 shared the same processor while the 12 and 16 Live had an upgraded quad-core processor. It will be interesting to see what they have in the Pro units and if the larger ones get a better processor
If I buy an Elite FS unit with the 3 in 1 transducer and have no intentions of upgrading to live sonar...without the S3100 module, do I still get active imagining down and siding imaging?
@InDepth Sonar would you get a 7" hds with 3 in one or a 9" Elite fs with same transducer? Guess my question is....would you prefer the smaller better screen or larger screen?
That's a tough one because your talking a higher end unit with a smaller screen VS a mid teir unit with a larger screen. I think I'd that case is go Elite FS because it can do just about everything the HDS can but has lower resolution and might be slightly slower if you're networking with it
Hello! Thanks for a great job! At 11:44 you talked about support AIHD by HDS Carbon with module s3100, could you give a link to the official specification of the module s3100 with this information?
Lowrance has changed that. The info the video was based on was the Product Announcement... Then after it went live on their website they removed the Carbon as a supported unit.

The dual activetarget is a niche market at best as it's a very expensive setup. The really weird thing is needing a S3100 to get fish reveal sidescan on the Pro, though it looks to be of far less value than downscan fish reveal. Yes it is a lot. You have to remember though when comparing Lowrance to other brands is that the HDS Pro is the high end. A lot of people (me included in this video) compare the price of the lower end models from other manufacturers like Garmin's echomap or Hummibird's Helix units. Garmin you have to compare the GPSMAP 8600 units to the HDS Pro and Humminbird the Solix or Apex

But the 3 echomap units you buy are not the same a the HDS Pro. You need to buy 3 GPSMAP 8610s to be a fair comparison. Garmin has the GT36, GT56, GT56 nose cone and the GT51.
@@InDepthSonar lowrance still doesn’t have the settings available to fine tune side/down scan and 2d sonar. Garmin and raymarine I know for a fact, does have those options.
@InDepth Sonar Sorry, I disagree. The 106sv is just as good as the HDS Pro, and u can get it at 1/3rd the price. U could buy 1-10in hds pro, or u could outfit ur entire boat with 3- 10in 106sv. It's not even a close comparison. Put 2 on console and 1 on the bow. Or put 1 on consol and 2 up front and use one for livescope. It's a no-brainer imo. And fish reveal is a marketing scam. I had it on my lowrance gen 3s and immediately switched it off. All it does is clutter ur screen. I've never met an angler that used it or liked it. And now u gotta pay extra for a module that allows u to use it? Waste of money imo. Also, as a bass angler, it seems like FFS is gonna be the future and u already admitted that Garmin is king of FFS. Why not jump now and get with the company that's gonna lead the way in that category. Didn't lowrance have to buy technology off of Garmin for its FFS? Which buy the way angered a bunch of loyal Lowrance customers because their gen 1 FFS was complete garbage.
Just be aware, any unit you buy in USA or Canada are programmed only to work within those countries. As soon as you take it to Europe, the GPS will not work and you'll have to buy an unlock code from Lowrance which I believe are around 500 USD
I’m getting sick of lowrance. They are so proud of their lagging technology. I run 2 carbon 12s with live updates and active target. They leave so much to be desired and no motivation to create an independent 360 and everything needs a stupid pricy module to work. I’m gonna switch the hummingbird when that time comes. I will NOT be upgrading to these new modules and transducers. They have not delivered on the money i already have spent with them.

Which buy the way angered a bunch of loyal Lowrance customers because their gen 1 FFS was complete garbage.
great video!!!
Thank you!!
I guess the prices in Sweden will be almost the double than in the US. I must get myself a friend in US that can buy it in US and ship it over :)
Just be aware, any unit you buy in USA or Canada are programmed only to work within those countries. As soon as you take it to Europe, the GPS will not work and you'll have to buy an unlock code from Lowrance which I believe are around 500 USD
Bs
Интересно, но вряд-ли я себе такое приобрету.
В рамках данного видео вообще не интересно, собираетесь ли вы это приобретать🤷♂️
Thanks very informative video
Thanks for watching and glad it helped
Great video, I just wish that your voice was picked up better. Listening on headphones or my phone it’s difficult to hear what you’re saying.
Что у него делает карта Рыбинки на заднем плане?))))
я не говорю на этом языке
I’m getting sick of lowrance. They are so proud of their lagging technology. I run 2 carbon 12s with live updates and active target. They leave so much to be desired and no motivation to create an independent 360 and everything needs a stupid pricy module to work. I’m gonna switch the hummingbird when that time comes. I will NOT be upgrading to these new modules and transducers. They have not delivered on the money i already have spent with them.
Please stop Geo Fence . You cannot use a HDS out of USA if you dont pay double price.
Yeah that is messed up
garbage…..i’ll stick to garmin/hummingbird
Enjoy
anybodyn get 360 to work? lol
Calm days when you are not moving it works well
Very confusing
