I have been an avid user of Wyze products for quite some time, and while I genuinely appreciate the innovative approach they bring to home monitoring, I recently encountered a situation that I believe deserves attention. My experience with the Wyze home monitoring system has been generally positive, but I faced an issue that halted its functionality. I made multiple attempts to address this concern, reaching out to the support team in hopes of finding a solution. However, the communication seemed primarily via email, which made it challenging to address the issue effectively. As someone who values home security, I believe it's crucial for any monitoring system to be robust and dependable. My intention in sharing this feedback is to highlight the importance of prompt and efficient support channels. When it comes to the security of our homes and loved ones, having reliable communication and swift problem resolution is paramount.
They do have phone support. I had to call them a few times because email didn't get a resolution. I had a billing issue but IVR also offers a tech support option over the phone.
Great video Adam! I wasn't aware that Wyze had this entire system. Thanks for the detailed review. Maybe one day matter will allow it to connect to Homekit and I'll have the chance to test it out! Keep up the awesome work!
Ehh, I’m not sure. I can’t remember if a subscription is required or not, I don’t use this anymore. That would answer your question tho. Thanks for watching! 😊
A subscription is not necessary for this system to work. However, you cannot set up a PIN code (and thus use the keypad at all) without one. You can still get push notifications and trigger camera recordings and IFTTT actions when a sensor is activated, however, and I think (correct me if I'm wrong) you can still arm and disarm the noise alarm with your phone app.
I have this system now and finally have everything working very smoothly at the present time. Question for you Adam. Where did you find the information on the wyze sense hub saying it had a ten hour battery backup I can’t find anything on that? My hub is located centrally in the house so I am using WiFi , I do have my Xfinity router on a backup UPS so I’m wondering if I lose house power and the wyze sense hub goes to its backup battery but my WiFi modem is still on line will it notify the central station thanks.
Fab video - Critical alert support is a real bonus for such a cheap system. Hope they will add in HomeKit support in future. One question for you - what is the warranty on the Wyze security system like?
Very informative. I have just started a Wyze home security system and am curious about what camera you would recommend be used in conjunction with the motion sensor. Thank you.
Not having cellular backup for when your internet goes out is a major flaw cause thieves can be in and out of your house in a matter of minutes. Also professional monitoring is unavailable when internet is down.
@@senjo31Ring has cellular backup in case you home internet goes out so you always have Internet for your security system and a 24 hour backup battery in case power goes out.
@RealMark999 The Cellular Backup feature is only available for the Ring Alarm system, which does not include any Cameras or Doorbells. If your wifi goes down, your Ring Cameras or Doorbells will not be able to notify you of motion detected and you won't be able to access Live View.
I have everything Wyze I got to say it's not a robust system you cant trust for home protection. The cameras (floodlights x7) and V3 cams (x3) and 1 doorbell camera all provide slow notifications or none at all. The Wyze motion sensors for the alarm x5 pieces only 2 works well and 3 has false triggers. This is clear example of you get what you pay for. I just ordered a ring 14-piece system to replace the Wyze alarm. Unfortunately, I spent a bit on all the Wyze cameras i will just live with the intermittent notifications for now.
@AdamsTechLife I just replaced my Wyze alarm system last night with the 14-piece Pro kit. I must say immediately I noticed the difference in system response and notifications. It's double and almost triple the price for the hardware as well as subscription, but for home protection, it's worth it.
I was going to purchase the wyse outdoor cams, but they canceled my order because I did not put this system in my cart. I did not want the crappy system that does not work when internet goes down and does not inform me if someone is messing with the router in my rental. So. Now I am still looking for a good outdoor wifi cam. Suggestions?
Great content! Just bought the entire system and it has limitations as to how the cameras are utilized. Would you know if buying an extra keypad for the upstairs work as a "remote siren"
Hey Dan, thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the video and are enjoying the system. I’m not sure about that, I would ask Wyze. Thanks for watching! 😊
I want this system, but don't require the monitoring service. The notifications on my phone are good enough. Has anyone bought this and set it up without getting the monitored service?
I have been using wyze. it is a good system but their customer service sucks. I sent over so many logs but no one responds. I have tried to contact them by phone but I gave up as no one answered for half an hour. I just hung up. What good is a good system if you do not have reliable customer service?
What about a hostage situation? Suppose you come home, open the garage door and a "bad person" sneaks in as you drive in to the garage? Now, the "bad person" knows and wants you to disarm the alarm system? Is there a way to alert the alarm center that, in fact, you are now a hostage?
You set up a safe word with the monitoring company so i guess that is what you would use. Not say the safe word and the company would know you are still in trouble.
Their system has been down for 2 days now. No updates on status. They apparently got hacked and some user data has been compromised. Wyze says the system is back up, but it’s still down, and they do not reply to questions.
So far I've spent 3 hours just trying to get my devices to connect to the hub. Been going through you tube and looks like I'm the only one having this issue. For me this product sucks. It's just a speaker with blinking lights
These guys are experiencing a major shutdown due to an AWS outage, none of the sensors have been working for over 3 days now. Ridiculous. -> update - I had to reinstall all my sensors. Works fine now. But quiet honestly regular people don’t have time for this bs troubleshooting.

Glad you enjoyed it and found the video helpful. Thanks for watching and for support! 😊
What Matter promises to do is the dream for us HomeKit users!
Thanks for sharing! Can you use this system to just alert you on your phone, or do you have to set up with noonlite in order for it to work?

I think I saw that on Wyze’s website, I would check there. I saw that a while back. Thanks for watching! 😊
This item is unavailable on Amazon at the moment and reason why or when it’ll be back available cause I’ve been considering Getting this!
Dang, no clue. Thanks for watching! 😊
Fantastic Company, Fantastic Product, Not Price Gouging Money grubbing Like others. Tested and Recommended Products
Glad you are enjoying their products. Thanks for watching! 😊
Is this still a good buy?? Or some better alternative?
i don't use this, doesn't mean it's bad. just not useful to me.
Fab video - Critical alert support is a real bonus for such a cheap system. Hope they will add in HomeKit support in future.
One question for you - what is the warranty on the Wyze security system like?
I agree! And I’m not sure exactly, but I think it’s 1 year if anything goes wrong, Wyze will handle it.
Very informative. I have just started a Wyze home security system and am curious about what camera you would recommend be used in conjunction with the motion sensor. Thank you.
If you’re using Wyze and the whole ecosystem, I would stick with Wyze to make things easier. Thanks for watching! 😊

That’s the biggest reason I’m leaning towards ring.

Eufy has been great :)
No cams require the HMS.
Wait so u are required to use subscription just to use the kit?
I believe so yes, haven’t used it since I made the video. Thanks for watching! 😊
No.
❓Does anyone know what the X on the keypad is for? TIA
Maybe cancel? I’m not sure, I’m sure there’s a Manuel online. I no longer use this product. Thanks for watching! 😊

For clarification, if the internet is out, it can’t call cops or talk to your app, but the system still works.
