I have an idea for a Best Team video. How about the best teams for various regions, but the twist here is that the best teams can have starter Pokémon in your team.
This can already drastically change how you play Pokémon.
Can you elaborate on this?

Lance, Iris, and Raihan’s teams are not full Dragon, but I guess that’s how it is due to the limitations in the Pokédex. Lance’s team, though, is boring, as he uses way too many Flying-types on his team as a Champion, and he wasn’t too good as an Elite Four Member back then either. I have to say, the more least competitive Dragon user compared to Lance, though, is Drasna.
Lance’s PWT team is a huge improvement, though! 😬

Garchomp = The Shaq of Pokemon
Raihan is a disgrace. Rather than have a full team of dragon types and teach them weather effects he filled his team with non-dragon types. He’s worse than Lance. At least the non-dragon types on Lance’s team were in the Dragon egg group.
I would call that more brilliant. He is utilizing weather with some of the best weather setters. Torkoal for sun, honestly could have used Pelipper with Drizzle, and for Sand, use a 'mon with Sand Stream, like Steelix or Rhyperior

@@yeetus2547 My mistake. Regardless, he has a Sandaconda that I just remembered, with the Sand Spit ability, plus he teaches his Flygon sandstorm sometime between the gym challenge and the Champion Cup, plus gets a Goodra with Rain Dance
Raihan should’ve been labeled a weather trainer instead of a dragon trainer. Have him trailblaze a new class of gym leader that use specific strategies like weather teams, Trick Room teams, etc. instead of specializing in one type.
I would have to disagree. Maybe Raihans gym battle has half dragon types. Same as lance. Only difference is lances 3 dragons are the same Pokémon. I think it was just a bad idea to have game freak put a dragon master in a game lacking dragons. But raihans elite four battle, shown in the video, is pretty strong, and has a unique gimmick in the weather team.

If you werent handed a mega rayquaza, zinnia could make for an awesome post game boss battle. even wallace was great as an opponent in the delta episode, and fighting zinnia's team led by her mega salamence could be epic using your own pokemon which were probably just at the right levels. aside from that, I really like Drake - hoenn takes the cake for me in terms of dragon type boss trainers
Zinnia is the easiest due to the fact that it is FORCED to be easy. You can bring a level 3 poochyena to the fight, you will still be forced to lead with an overleveled, mega-box-legendary which outspeeds and OHKO every mon on her team.
I do not consider Raihan, Lance or Iris "Dragon" trainers since there not a full team of Dragons.
I think the top 10 best Dragon type trainers 10: Ryuki 9, Drasna if only she had Mega Altaria on her team but for some reason Megas in Xand Y games were Limited to The Player, Champion Korrina ab
Sorry let me start again I think the top 10 Best Dragon type trainers are 10, Ryuki 9, Drasna I only she had Mega Altaria since for some reason Megas in X and Y games were Limited to the Player, Champion Korrina and Evil team leader then she might’ve been stronger 8, Zinnia 7, Drake 6, 5, Raihan 4, Drayden 3, Iris 2, Clair 1, Lance best.

I feel what really shafts Drasna is dragon types unbalanced representation. It doesn't have the same BST spread as most other types, with it's high number of pseudos and legendaries. Drasna's team isn't 'bad' overall, just average. But it also does have two of the weakest dragons by BST.
She also got shafted out of having her region’s pseudo on her team since Diantha took Goodra.
@@yorecf9641 Truly... the disrespect this region gave her XD Took the pseudo, skipped over for the mega (seriously, a mega altaria would really make her team interesting), and only given four pokemon, three of them under 500 BST. They really should have given her a tyrantrum...

Though Drasna couldn’t have a Mega Altaria in XY since that one wasn’t released until ORAS. She could’ve had a Mega Ampharos at least.
@@yorecf9641 Wow... Just... wow... Why did they bother making a dragon type elite four if they gave all the good dragon types, aside from noivern, to the champion? And don't get my wrong, I love noivern, but it's far from the Greatest Dragon out there...

Well, to be fair to Cynthia, she never claimed to be a Dragon-type specialist. Garchomp's simply her ace 'mon. (If you go by Masters, she includes Kommo-o on her team.)

This is my favorite type. Lance was the coolest trainer I ever met in my pokemon journey and I loved how he mixed in pokemon that weren't dragon type but they looked like dragons, and could use dragon type moves. I want to be a trainer like that with my Charizard. I mainly focus on the dragon look for my teammates 🦖🥷🏾👍🏾
Bruh, Lance is 100% straight Offense! Lmao He only has damage dealing moves on his team, so yeah, I can see why someone could get overwhelmed. You literally won't have a break from the onslaught to change the tide!

I know Cynthia had one dragon, Garchomp, but I say as long as a trainer has one dragon, that makes them a dragon trainer, if they know how to use a dragon type, and since Garchomp is her ace, she is an amazing dragon trainer!
By that logic, Volo, Diantha, Wally, Leon, and USUM Cyrus are dragon trainers as well. This would also make Kiawe a normal type trainer since he can use a Mega Kangaskhan in the USUM Battle Tree.

The worst Dragon type Pokémon team of all time is probably the one used in Pokémon Black and White, in the 8th Gym. That’s not the Trainer’s fault, the Dragon type was severely limited
They could’ve at least added a Zweilous so that they weren’t limited to only three Pokémon. Maybe also Archeops since BW2 Iris thinks it’s close enough.

@@macwelch8599 it is. Clair uses 2-3 pseudo legendary pre evolutions so I think it’s fine if BW1 Drayden/Iris use one.

I do appreciate even the worst Dragon-type teams since Dragon is one of my favorite types, and aside from Sinnoh, it's nice to see it get some good representation over the years. It gets me excited every time to see what kind of team the Dragon-type user of a region has.
So not an in game trainer, but I played competitive monotype in gen 6 and 7, and know a player who was briefly the best dragon main in the world for a brief stint in gen 6, before oras brought mega altaria into the picture but after mega latias was released
At least, I considered him to be the best dragon player, and was active enough in the tournament scene to have an opinion
Haven't watched yet but before thought, need to be more dragon types even if they arent amazing. There's 100s of water types but there is a diverse range between amazing and terrible. Dragon type mostly has no range especially if you dont want legendary's.
But… that’s the point of dragon. That’s why they used to be hard to come by. Also water type is that way because the world is a body of water.

Drasna got screwed by virtue of being introduced in the generation that featured Dragon type’s new weakness. And I’m still waiting for her to be redeemed. At least make her better than Lance

Tbf Galar's dragon mons are the type of mons that grows on you from time to time. I hated Dragapult's design when I first saw it but I love it now.

Ryuki is just not very good competitively, though.
