Hi guys not long been subscribed but really enjoying them and the banter you two have anyway surly all the English heritage places you go you should join up and save 👍
*PART 2 OF 2* You both bring so so much to the table… keeping us all so enthralled and entertained to such a level, that 40+ minutes passes in what feels is the blink of the eye. Your voices, coupled with your choice of ambient background music… whisk us off into a place so tranquil and beautiful - we don’t want the episode to end… Alas… the episodes do end - but, what they do is leave us… like Mark Lester in Oliver Twist, when he goes back to Mr Bumble (Harry Secombe) and says (just like your audience does)… and asks: 🙏Please Sir, I want some more🥣🙏 Big Hugs & Woofs as always 👴🏻👩🏼🐶 🫶🏼Woof!
Great video guys. Did you miss the boating lake opposite Tynemouth Surf Co? Next to the crazy dinosaur golf? Both Laurel and Hardy stayed at the Grand Hotel when they were on tour. Stan Laurel lived with his mother in nearby North Shields. Where his house once was is called Laurel Street. The statue overlooking the Tyne entrance is Lord Collingwood, not Collingworth. Forgiven. He was the real guy who masterminded the Battle of Trafalgar. The horrible building inside Tynemouth priory is a coastguard station. The Land of Green ginger church in Tynemouth is known to be the world’s shortest pub crawl. It used to house lots of little shops years ago and super gran’s flying machine used to be suspended on the ceiling (as it was filmed in the North East). Charles Dickins was from Portsmouth, there’s a plaque on his house, I’ve seen it. God knows what he was doing up here. Finally, and crucially, all the car parks way from Tynemouth upto Whitley Bay are only rated upto 3500kg. So you are not allowed to park there. You were lucky not to get a ticket just for that. Blood council regulations! You taught me stuff I never knew. Loving it. Not many jokes in this one though 🙁
Love Tynemouth, amazingly interesting place with great pubs, cafes and restaurants. Lovely people there too. Your experience with the motorhome parking was one of the reasons we've downsized to a VW Camper Van. Ours was a lot like yours, less than 6 metres, standard width but mirrors which stuck out a long way and were subject to getting bashed, I did my fair share of bashing too. Once hit a Transit Tourneo mirror with mine in a filling station and it cost me nearly three hundred quid to replace their mirror. Mine just had a scratch. Our California is a dream, takes up a bit more room than a Range Rover and I can folded in the mirrors at the touch of a button. The best bit though is the sliding door which can be opened and closed remotely from the ignition key. No more banging our doors into other cars for us tha nos. AND we can either sleep in the downstairs apartment or the Penthouse Suite in the pop top. Narrow roads? No problem, if a car can go down, so can we. Like a shed befoor, this little bewty will tek us anyweer. Keep the vlogs coming, love em especially all the factoids. You
We love it Andrew. Our motorhome had everything, shower, never ever used. Oven, hardly ever used, Grill, hardly ever used, Microwave, hardly ever used. We bought it new 3 years ago and traded it in for the California about six weeks ago and we had to stump up a fair few quid in the deal but Lynn and I are delighted with it. It really is amazing. We can even turn the heater on and off remotely at the press of a button on a special fob. Sorry a art orl typos by the way, a got huge hands and big fingers.
I'm from the area and found this a great little video. I also didn't even know about that magazine room under the guns where the shells were stored and raised up to the guns. There also used to be cannons looking down Front Street ramparts when I was younger, around 1970's. There is a belief that there was a huge statue and monument of the Roman Emperor Hadrian that overlooked the mouth of the Tyne where the Collingwood monument now stands that was dismantled and used to build the Priory. The old Coastguard building has always been a disgrace building inside the Priory and is even worse now that it is not even used. Think you should have started in Cullercoats Bay first then walked into Tynemouth. you missed a little gem of a cove. Great video.
My biggest fear is parking our 6m van in a tight car park. I remember having a work meeting in that cafe on the beach at Tynemouth in winter many years ago. It was a 3 hr drive from where I live at the time and all I can remember was the fabulous mug of hot chocolate I had with all the trimmings. Thanks again for a great video showcasing more places to visit and explore.
Another interesting informative fun video. Love you guys love the poochies love your quirky sense of humours. And I’m now obsessed with houses on the hill world goes by. Ooooo I need to get out more🎉. Have the best of times 😊

We didn't have any parking problems at Tynemouth, we went by mountain bike, the only downside was we cycled from Solway Firth so could only stay for 15 minutes :-( It looks quite nice though.
Lovely video thanks guys. We are so excited to get our new motorhome in a couple of weeks and joining the club! You are inspiring us to travel loads xxxx

Did you know, every weekend there is a fantastic market in the train station with over 200 stalls? There is even a car park on the West Side of the station where you could park your van £1.50 per day. (Even parked there overnight)
Just watching your Tynemouth video and needed to let you know that you missed out one of the best places to eat at the fish shack on Eddies bay near the saunas. We love it there, lovely little spot. Keep the videos coming watch them all.
Loved watching you guys in my neck of the woods. Tynemouth metro station at a weekend turns into an indoor market which is fab! Also Tynemouth is a good night out and gets chocka on a bank holiday. I live in Newcastle but always visited Tynemouth and Whitley Bay as a child and for drinking sessions now as an adult! Thanks guys for the videos ❤ enjoyed your visits to our North East coastline which of course I’m biased but I think we live in one of the most beautiful regions in the UK.
Nice place again when I have ever visited the UK i never find places like this, I like that the place doesn't seem crowed and there is a metro link to other exciting places in that area of the country,
Hellloooooo Guy's. Lovely vlog of a cracking place, one we have never visited but maybe we should. Just wish a time machine existed it would be brilliant to step back in time. Glad you got back to the van and no dramas 😅. Take care and enjoy as always 😊. Stay safe 🙏 Paul and Joanne 👍 ♥️
Fantastic video 👌 I really like Tynemouth. Great market in the station of a weekend. Busy on the main street too at weekends. Did you miss going into the castle at the Priory 🤔 pleased you managed to get off the car park. Great trip out 🍻Thank you. ❤
Oooh a can of Um Bongo and a garibaldi biscuit. Do you remember that? Currently holidaying in Filey!! Yes we made it after an epic 8 hour trip. Liz xxxx❤❤❤❤
Fantastic series of vids guys , we love watching every single one of them , especially all the ones on our beautiful north east coastline.. That's Marsden Grotto you see in distance "the rock with hole in it" haha.. If you ever do come to South Shields (my town) I'll get you's a madri on the seafront.. Keep up the great work 👍
Hi guys 😁 South Shields is a nice place has a lovely big park with a little train, there is a gun emplacement there as well , me and my wife did the great North run this year ended up in South Shields we stayed on the westo rugby pitch in our freedom caravan 😊😄.
I think you’ve sold me on the northeast for next years big trip. It looks interesting and relatively quiet. I fancy a few days around Kielder too. Another good vlog funny but informative. Ta.
Great stuff guy's, when your back up here 🏴 they have a sauna at kingsbarns beach, you can park overnight there for a 10 spot... We have been a few times but not the sauna.... Have a great weekend we're off to the isle of gigha again next week, be good you 2 have a good weekend to 👍❤️👍🍻🍻
Great video once again, we've been to Teignmouth years ago whilst staying at dawlish (lovely place BTW if you haven't been)will be going again as you've shown the areas we missed last time, happy travels guys
Hi ya Andy and Claire. Yet another brilliant vlog. Fantastic ruins. Think your right Claire monks had a lot of Christs blood, think today it would be whacky baccy. Shame you couldn't get your coffee on the beach Andy. Did get it in the town though, happy days. Well into my navel history. Love the napoleonic times. Not a fan of Newcastle but looked lovely where you were. Wow that was tight, think my Honda CRV would be in trouble. Don't forget guys, when you go to Hartlepool again visit the Trincomalee, think you will love it. Thanks guys very enjoyable. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete and Su....
You’re still on my patch 😊 our beautiful coastline, I live just outside Tynemouth Village now as an adult, the coastguard station at The Priory closed in 2001 and is an absolute eyesore. Front street is absolutely rammed on a weekend x
Another great vlog. Tynemouth has a great Sunday market at the train station. We take our area for granted. Surprised you didn't get a ticket. The wardens are red hot. We're at Hebden Bridge and going to Hawes tomorrow after watching your vlog.
come back on a weekend and that train station is full with market stalls both sides, second hand/new, street food its buzzing all year round, you can walk along the pier but its closed atm because of storm damage, glad you enjoyed your visit to....tyneMOUTH not tynemuth
The piers have had damage during the storms that we’ve had over the last year. South Shields pier is open so far along but they’re fixing the lighthouse as the lamp came clean off in a particularly bad storm. Never known that to happen ever before. The Herd Groyne lighthouse is also being repainted at the moment so it’s covered up. Like. st. Mary’s lighthouse.

I imagine you drove over the path, But then I have a T6 and it would be tight for that.Giving me lots of ideas for my next visit,Tynemouth was so litter free 🤩
Aww lovley that video, been thinking about staying in Tynemouth for a while, with our motorhome on a site, and wondering if it was worth it,especially coming from wigan..meaning abit of a trek..thankyou for that😊
Love it guys! Again emotional with pride for my area, haven’t been inside the priory since I was at primary school remember making candles, never seen the turrets, Tyne “mouth” is amazing on a weekend the metro station has a massive market on and the bar culture amazing! GIVING THIS CHANNEL A SUBSCRIBE! Hope you come back soon x
I live on that side of the water where the rock is with the hole in the distance and that is what is left now of the famous Marsden Rock that used to be attached to the mainland when I was a young lad and had a cove opening underneath it.
I HAVE previously suggested you join English Heritage. (Approx £120 pa for a couple; but there have been offers including a 20% reduction using the 20% code online). That would have covered the visit in this video as entry would then be free. But it would also have covered any visits you might make elsewhere (Whitby Abbey, Helmsley Castle, Rievaulx Abbey, Walkworth Castle, Richmond Castle, Middleham Castle, Pickering Castle, Mount Grace Priory, Fountains Abbey/Studeley Royal.... You'll get your money back in weeks. .
Tynemouth looks lovely, a future one for us if we ever get tyne! When you returned to your motorhome i thought you either wait for the car owners to return or straight a head.
Hi Guys Very informative vlog how do you keep all that information in your head or do you have auto cues 😅. Andrew I’ve just got two words to say Kirstie Alsop 😮!! Cxx
Over the curb and on to the road by any chance…? they looked low,ish so that’s what I would have done.. As we say in 🏴.. Tidy video.. May take “ Fanny the Tranny” (My lwb ford transit van camper van, just in case you were wondering…!) up north for a long weekend. Tynemouth locked fab. Thanks..👍
Hi. Tidy comment 😂👍 Take Fanny up north and you’ll have a fantastic time. Tynemouth is most certainly worth a visit. It’s clean with fantastic beaches and loads of history, nice cafes and bars. Let us know how you get on 👍👍
Did you spot Marsdon Rock over at South Shields. Make sure you grab an ice cream at Minchellos on your way home ❤❤. Oh and wave if you do the coast road through to Sunderland and past the Stadium of Light. I'll be grafting looking after the Hilton Hotel. Enjoy the area guys but give a miss to Durham Grange club site. Its crap, stinks of the sewerage plant and noise from A1. Instead head for Finchale Abbey site. Its much nicer. Happy travels both ❤❤ Now if you search Charles Dickens int North East its a group of hardware stores 😂😂😂
Hi. Thanks for this recommendation as Durham is in the cards and that Durham Grange site seems quite far out. Keep grafting. See you one day in mighty Sunderland
great video gang as usual ,, a bit info though the battery inside the castle is set low to make it a poor target for shells coming the other way ! but i think you probs know that anyway ,, the rock formations in the distance is marsden and there is a pub built into a cave in the cliff there well worth a visit ,, but the biggy is i noticed both of you were well impressed with tyne mouth station ,, WELL next time your up this neck of the woods visit there on saturday or sunday ,, as a big flea market is held in there all year its really good and with it being a working station a nice atmosphere with trains passing though as your looking about for bargains as we all do. i enjoy your crack tho thankyou
Last weekend 8th September was the Great North run, from Newcastle to South shields half marathon, my son did it 21years old with some of his friends they raised money for the " Andy's man club " it's for men of different ages and abilities, it rained all day
I bought something for the wife from the House of holes to help with her knitting, the card of button holes is still in the drawer unused , ungrateful is what she is , great vid again
You will be receiving word shortly from the Tynemouth Tourist Office to offer you a job advertising the delights of Tynemouth to the outside world.... A good job (video) done well. And with a twinkle in the eye...!
maybe sunderland we will have few pints haha also try Finchale abbey near durham and maybe saltburn by the see if you havn't done them, all canny stops 🙂
Great Chanel especially on Tynemouth and Whitley bay ( my home) and it is pronounced Tynemouth ie mouth of the Tyne not Tynemth 😊 or chiselton in supergran days 😂
Well that looked really nice. Was Nora Balls related to Ed? When you come back to Scotland, you should pay a visit to the “secret bunker” you will both love it. We paid it a visit earlier in the year after seeing the sign for it many times, well impressed on our visit. You go over the new forth road bridge. Look forward again to next video. Oh by the way did you say “Smurf lesson, which one would you be, biker Smurf 🏍🤪 Jan and Will
hi, new sub. well, Tynemouth Prioy is supposed to be a place of peace, but its had a torrid history, with the vikings, the remnants of the Spainish Armada ~(yes, that one), Freanch wars, Scotland etc, so the gun placements are apt for this Priory. oh am a local lad btw. you will deffo have to return on a sunday for Tynemouth Markey in the metro station, its amazing,. also, see North Shields fish quay too, down the bank towards the Tyne from the metro station. the fish resturants are top quality and all fresh from the boat, also if you dont fancy eating out you can get the same fish from next door (to all the fish restaurants) same fish, same freshness.
if you inc North Shields, its a pretty big place, also, up the coast theres Cullercoats, with a cove type beach and more of the same stuff as further down, then theres Whitley Bay, the Blackpool of the North East, well it was!! its similar to Black pool now.
Think you just put Tynemouth on the map. That priory looks gorgeous ❤
If anyone’s reading this and hasn’t been, you must go 🗺️
narr its definatly on the map gets rammed with tourists in the summer

We plan to visit here, so this is great, Thankyou
Great vlog's guys 👍👍

I lived in tynemouth in the early 70s, boy has it changed. Must go back there one day. I used to walk my dogs along the headland.
We enjoyed it, it was super clean and tidy. Felt nice. I hope you go back for a wander around 👍👍👍👍
Great video as per usual. Looks a lovely place!
We're guessing you drove forward lol
Yes 👍
Thanks for watching guys
I think you’ve sold me on the northeast for next years big trip. It looks interesting and relatively quiet. I fancy a few days around Kielder too. Another good vlog funny but informative. Ta.
Hi. How are you? 100% yes worth a trip. We wanted to go to Kielder so let us know how you get on there if you go and any tips 👍

Thumbs up thumped 👍
....Pete and Su....
Hi Pete and Su
Thanks for taking the time to watch our videos. Glad you enjoyed. Were on a welsh tour now!
You’re still on my patch 😊 our beautiful coastline, I live just outside Tynemouth Village now as an adult, the coastguard station at The Priory closed in 2001 and is an absolute eyesore. Front street is absolutely rammed on a weekend x
We love this area ❤️
@@Stchristopherofatlantis The market on Sat/Sun in the metro station is THE best market in the UK!
We missed it. D’oh!
Another great vlog. Tynemouth has a great Sunday market at the train station. We take our area for granted. Surprised you didn't get a ticket. The wardens are red hot. We're at Hebden Bridge and going to Hawes tomorrow after watching your vlog.
You will thoroughly enjoy Hawes. Go to the cheese place, if you can walk to the pub with the waterfall ❤️❤️
Thanks for watching 👍👍 Enjoy
Thanks.
come back on a weekend and that train station is full with market stalls both sides, second hand/new, street food its buzzing all year round, you can walk along the pier but its closed atm because of storm damage, glad you enjoyed your visit to....tyneMOUTH not tynemuth
Hi. We totally and utterly loved Tynemouth ❤️👍
Hi, Thanks for this and for watching 👍
We noticed St Mary’s was all covered up
Loved your north-east vlogs, especially this one. Thank you. Bye for now.
Love to read this. Thank you for watching ❤️👍
Great video. No wonder we didn't recognise anything - we thought you were in Teignmouth Devon. 🤣😎😍👬
😂😂😂 hope you are all well
I used to go to the outdoor pool when I was young, they used to do swimsuit competitions there. Had my wedding photos taken at the Priory. Great video
Hello. Thanks for watching. The priory was fab ❤️👍
Great Vlog guys I think the east coast has so much to offer 👍
Agreed, it’s ace
Nice video ❤
Thanks 🤩

It's just Tyne mouth .nothing fancy .
On a weekend the station is a great market .

I imagine you drove over the path, But then I have a T6 and it would be tight for that.Giving me lots of ideas for my next visit,Tynemouth was so litter free 🤩
Hi 👋 yes we didn’t see any litter at all 👌
Aww lovley that video, been thinking about staying in Tynemouth for a while, with our motorhome on a site, and wondering if it was worth it,especially coming from wigan..meaning abit of a trek..thankyou for that😊
We really enjoyed it, would recommend, the beaches were ace 👍
Love it guys! Again emotional with pride for my area, haven’t been inside the priory since I was at primary school remember making candles, never seen the turrets, Tyne “mouth” is amazing on a weekend the metro station has a massive market on and the bar culture amazing! GIVING THIS CHANNEL A SUBSCRIBE! Hope you come back soon x
Welcome to our channel and we are delighted you found us 👍👍
Wherever we go, there is beauty, we just look for it. We adored Tynemouth ❤️
I live on that side of the water where the rock is with the hole in the distance and that is what is left now of the famous Marsden Rock that used to be attached to the mainland when I was a young lad and had a cove opening underneath it.
It's also where, and only where I've ever seen a star fish
This sounds a great place to live.
We plan to head back to Marsden Rock on another trip, we love the area
I grew up in Tynemouth ❤ my friend is also there now on holiday 😊
It’s fantastic 👍👍
I HAVE previously suggested you join English Heritage. (Approx £120 pa for a couple; but there have been offers including a 20% reduction using the 20% code online). That would have covered the visit in this video as entry would then be free. But it would also have covered any visits you might make elsewhere (Whitby Abbey, Helmsley Castle, Rievaulx Abbey, Walkworth Castle, Richmond Castle, Middleham Castle, Pickering Castle, Mount Grace Priory, Fountains Abbey/Studeley Royal....
You'll get your money back in weeks. .
You have but we haven’t 😂😂
That was Marsden Rock you could see… in South Shields 😊
We want to go 👍👍👍
You need to go through the Tyne tunnel to visit it head towards South Shields then after South Shields you will come to seaburn
Hi we went through the tunnel back to Barnsley BUT watch this space, we will return to South Shields 👍👍👍
Tynemouth looks lovely, a future one for us if we ever get tyne!
When you returned to your motorhome i thought you either wait for the car owners to return or straight a head.
We would recommend you go if you get chance.
Straighy ahead !!
Hi Guys Very informative vlog how do you keep all that information in your head or do you have auto cues 😅. Andrew I’ve just got two words to say Kirstie Alsop 😮!! Cxx
We kinda wing it really… we know where we want to go and what we want to see but the conversation is just our normal conversation 😂😂😂
Learned to surf on that beach- head north to Beadnell = Zen Place
Hi. Thanks for this 👍
Over the curb and on to the road by any chance…? they looked low,ish so that’s what I would have done.. As we say in 🏴.. Tidy video.. May take “ Fanny the Tranny” (My lwb ford transit van camper van, just in case you were wondering…!) up north for a long weekend. Tynemouth locked fab. Thanks..👍
Hi. Tidy comment 😂👍
Take Fanny up north and you’ll have a fantastic time.
Happy travels both ❤❤
Now if you search Charles Dickens int North East its a group of hardware stores 😂😂😂
Hi. Thanks for this recommendation as Durham is in the cards and that Durham Grange site seems quite far out.
Keep grafting. See you one day in mighty Sunderland
Cheers 🍺 2 boxes of madri are already packed in the moho garage 😁🍺👍
We’re on our way 😂😂
Still loving the vlogs including the biking ones.
Jury still out about the sound bites ur adding..
Keep up the good work..
😂😂🎶🎶
Thankyou for watching
great video gang as usual ,, a bit info though the battery inside the castle is set low to make it a poor target for shells coming the other way ! but i think you probs know that anyway ,, the rock formations in the distance is marsden and there is a pub built into a cave in the cliff there well worth a visit ,, but the biggy is i noticed both of you were well impressed with tyne mouth station ,, WELL next time your up this neck of the woods visit there on saturday or sunday ,, as a big flea market is held in there all year its really good and with it being a working station a nice atmosphere with trains passing though as your looking about for bargains as we all do. i enjoy your crack tho thankyou
Hi. Thanks for this info, loved to read it and know more. We love this area and can’t wait to return 👍👍
Last weekend 8th September was the Great North run, from Newcastle to South shields half marathon, my son did it 21years old with some of his friends they raised money for the " Andy's man club " it's for men of different ages and abilities, it rained all day
Hi. This is a fantastic cause 👍👍❤️
I bought something for the wife from the House of holes to help with her knitting, the card of button holes is still in the drawer unused , ungrateful is what she is , great vid again
😂😂😂😂 hi 👋
You will be receiving word shortly from the Tynemouth Tourist Office to offer you a job advertising the delights of Tynemouth to the outside world....
A good job (video) done well. And with a twinkle in the eye...!
Thankyou for watching. We loved Tynemouth, it was fabulous 👍
Tynemouth station holds an artisan market every Saturday and Sunday 😊
We are gutted we missed it

Safe style went bump about 12 months ago, safe to say they’re never going to get that extra window
😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for watching
Great Chanel especially on Tynemouth and Whitley bay ( my home) and it is pronounced Tynemouth ie mouth of the Tyne not Tynemth 😊 or chiselton in supergran days 😂
We loved it, you live in a great place 👍👍
Well that looked really nice. Was Nora Balls related to Ed? When you come back to Scotland, you should pay a visit to the “secret bunker” you will both love it. We paid it a visit earlier in the year after seeing the sign for it many times, well impressed on our visit. You go over the new forth road bridge. Look forward again to next video. Oh by the way did you say “Smurf lesson, which one would you be, biker Smurf 🏍🤪 Jan and Will
Secret bunker?!?! Oooosh like the sound of it
How are you both
You should find beaches that have pebbles and sea glass, you can pick up the sea glass & make craft things from them
Sounds fab
Seaham is famous for seaglass... I have a pretty bottle full of if it!
Town centre not great in South Shields but seafront is lovely. I can say that because I live thee 😂
You a lucky to live somewhere so great. We love that coastline
Thanks for watching
Beach sauna you say? Come to Ireland, they're at every local swimming spot and so many people use them
Really? Ireland is a must visit for us 👍
hi, new sub. well, Tynemouth Prioy is supposed to be a place of peace, but its had a torrid history, with the vikings, the remnants of the Spainish Armada ~(yes, that one), Freanch wars, Scotland etc, so the gun placements are apt for this Priory. oh am a local lad btw.
you will deffo have to return on a sunday for Tynemouth Markey in the metro station, its amazing,. also, see North Shields fish quay too, down the bank towards the Tyne from the metro station. the fish resturants are top quality and all fresh from the boat, also if you dont fancy eating out you can get the same fish from next door (to all the fish restaurants) same fish, same freshness.
Welcome to our channel 😁
Thanks for the tips here, fab. We will certainly return 👍👍
if you inc North Shields, its a pretty big place, also, up the coast theres Cullercoats, with a cove type beach and more of the same stuff as further down, then theres Whitley Bay, the Blackpool of the North East, well it was!! its similar to Black pool now.
We did a video on Whitley Bay and had a superb time 👍👍👍
yea, never not had fun in Whitley Bay, all the way down the coast too and i live here, yould think people would get bored, but not there!!
Before you go get the Metro into Newcastle, you will not be disappointed it’s a stunning city.
We’re going to go back to Newcastle with no dogs for some beer!
@@Stchristopherofatlantis Plenty of pubs to choose from. Do a review of some of the local ales 👍
