Hello, The wooden block of wood with 4 legs in the kitchen is called a Butchers Block. We had one in the house where I grew up, you would cut meat on it back when you raise your own animals. I hope that helps. I'm from Worcester, MA. Take care & stay safe out there. Love, Ramona
Hi there! I’m so sorry RUclips would not let me comment on this for some reason I really appreciate your support and feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Born in 1831 and participated in the Korean war..? uh..1931 born most likely I think.Beautiful house.Stunning foyer. What a wonderful inviting place to welcome you or your guest with a lit fireplace. The whole house is a dream.
I love all the light coming from those really nice windows, in the house, I'd keep the curtains open to get every little light that I could get. I love the openness of the rooms, it makes the house feel airy, not closed up. The whole house is nicely done, that person understood what a woman would like. I would have loved it if the house was refurbished, but keep it like it is, just get things back in order that are in need, like the kitchen and such, because I think it's pretty much just right, for someone like me! It really is a beautiful home, the kind that if I could afford it, I'd buy it! 🤷🏼♀️
Hello from the sunrise side of Michigan! Beautiful home. I hope it’s restored! Too many of these well built beautifully crafted homes are destroyed for sub par plain no creativity type homes.
This video was astonishing! The beauty of the light coming through the windows made the house appear golden and peaceful. I’ve seen many videos but this one stands out. You did a pretty good thorough viewing of the whole house👍🏻 I wish I had a lot of financial resources so I could buy this place! Thank you for sharing!
hi just came across u tonight i love this mansion cant wait for ur next video but in the mean time im going to watch some of ur older stuff im watching from Scotland in the UK
What a beautiful home! I want to live there. I have no idea what that wooden box would be. Except just for storage. From the middle of the thumb in Michigan.
This is a really beautiful home. I just love that staircase and the room with the beautiful wallpaper. This would be a great home for a large family. You would have so much fun. I am watching from Malaga, New Jersey. I am from a very large family. I had 11 siblings Can you imagine e the fun we would have had in a home like this! .
Your first view of the staircase was awesome, the way the light filtered in creating a haziness. In the master bedroom, those closets were cedar lined, don’t know if much or any of the fragrance remained.
I agree with one of the commenters. That table is a butcher block. My grandfather had one much like that one. I absolutely love this mansion. A house this large they must have had at least one or 2 housekeepers. This is well kept and gorgeous.😊
Winslow Maine my dad was a WW2 Veteran as well and he died at 75 years old at VA He was a Marine for 47 months over seas Korea Saipan and Hawaii even if my dad is gone to heaven im very proud of my dad and proud to be A Marines daughter and my husband was in service also he was in the Army runs in the family our oldest son was in young Marines he became a Boot Segt and after he did his time time he left This might be a very very old house but very beautiful this mansion is absolutely phenomenal
Those dishes were left behind because they are not expensive, good for every day use. At one time you could get a piece one at a time when you purchased groceries! If you bought so much you would get so many pieces.
The reason the house is creaking during the day is the sun is beating on it causing part of the house to warm up and expand. Then when the sun goes down, the sun heated side will start to cool down and there will be more creaking as the expanded parts contract back. Probably isn't the house settling making those sounds.
Watching from NewEngland Massachusetts. I love that house. I would leave a lot of that house the way it is and replace and fix whatever is needed.Nice video! ❤️
@@rachelburge2338 Aww! Our area is pretty nice. We are blessed and have the 4 beautiful seasons. If you ever come to visit you should plan to see cape cod! Cape cod in Massachusetts is a peninsula. Water is warm on the bay side and the tides go way out! I am sure there are beautiful areas where you live too!
@@kellymcfadden7514 oh thank you so much for replying ! We do have some beautiful places but i suppose you always want something different! You houses seem so beautiful and big !! ❤ we seem to be on top of each other in england not as much space!! I love everything american defo born in wrong country lol 😆
That upper area of rooms with a bathroom after you pass the servant stairs is a servant bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen area with an exit through that one closet and more than likely that room served as a living room. The servant would have had their own entrance to a living space, kitchen, bedroom and beautiful bathroom with a claw foot tub.and not be going in and out the main entrance
Beautiful home. I think that 1 end with the little sink and stove and everything was probably for a caretaker or a maid that probably lived there and it had the. Bell like where was for a phone to plug in? So they could answer it if they would know if they needed help
I hate when they skip all around a house like he did on the 2nd floor. Start on the right an keep going in that direction. Then they stop & film one thing for a looong time. Wish I was there to look for myself. 😞
Hello, I am in love with this house, if I could find the correct info, I would definitely, with out a doubt, by this!!! Oh and my name is Cathy, I a from Indiana!!!!
You probably get asked this often so I apologize if the answer is somewhere among your other videos, but... how do you gain access to all these places? Do you have some kind of profession that allows you into these places (plumbing, electricity, etc) and then you just decide to record a video while you're there? Or... are you just committing a ton of B&E's (breaking and entering) and documenting each crime? lmao :P

Highly desirable today. People pay huge bucks for those.
We had one in our 50s ranch house in California
I wouldn’t do nothing to this house, other than a good cleaning and painting. From Louisiana 💕
this house is beautiful ! great video as always 🤘🏽

Great explore! Watching from Vancouver, British Columbia. What a gorgeous home, lots of beautiful features! Love the staircase, the old doors.....
The smaller upstairs kitchen and end bedroom with an outside door in the closet was the maid or Nanny’s quarters.

Butcher block table for a kitchen. The old ones go for a great deal of money.
Chopping block used to cut up meat.
I’m watching from Westborough, MA
I am from Massachusetts! Hi!
What a beautiful house!
This is an incredible home! The first item you wanted to know about is a butcher block for cutting meats on .
A cutting block for preparing meat and cutting vegetables you would find similar in a butcher shop
Watching from Pa.Nice house.👍
The kitchenette upstairs was probably converted to an apartment in the 1950's-60's since the the sink stove unit is one piece.
First time seeing your videos. Hi from Nebraska
6:00 - It's called a "Butcher Block".
Beautiful mansion. I love houses like this. It has details. They have a vibe. Unlike modern homes. Some places reminded me of the Sopranos house.
The reason the house is creaking during the day is the sun is beating on it causing part of the house to warm up and expand. Then when the sun goes down, the sun heated side will start to cool down and there will be more creaking as the expanded parts contract back. Probably isn't the house settling making those sounds.
In the basmith those were not sleds, They are called Tobaggins.
The heavy wood block with 4 legs is called a butcher Block, For cutting up meat.

To answer your question of where I'm watching from, greetings from South Salt Lake, Utah!
That's a beautiful house
The older bathrooms and narrow stairs appear to be in what would have been servants quarters
Hello, I am in love with this house, if I could find the correct info, I would definitely, with out a doubt, by this!!! Oh and my name is Cathy, I a from Indiana!!!!

What year was the house built?

In the Kitchen the old wooden large block is called a Botchers Block and can sell for $400,00 and higher. Maybe up to 1000
Opps Lets try $1,800 Plus.
Porque ele fala sussurrando? E quando mexe em algum armário não deixa como estava? Abrindo e fechando as portas!
What year was this built?
