Good video, but as Lokjamsop tried to say a year ago, you made the mistake of not removing the spanner ring from the motor. It should be INSIDE the plenum. Then secure the motor using the fender washers and locking nuts. Otherwise, nice job. Watching it first made me confident that I was doing it correctly.
Helpful. But why doesn't this video show the rather important step of how to secure the motor to the plenum? You have to take the ring off the motor after you remove the protective rubber covers from the bolts, then put the ring back on the bolts inside the plenum, then the washers, then the nuts - otherwise there is nothing to hold the motor to the plenum. I suppose it's supposed to be obvious, but it did take more than a minute to figure it out since neither this video nor the poor instructions that came with the cooktop show or mention this step. Why not?
Thank you so much for making this very helpful video!

Thank you for this video.
does anyone know if the voltage is 120 or 240 that the cooktop needs?

Wait why are the neutrals and grounds connected

Can I install this cooktop but not using the built in downdraft without using the downdraft option. I have a working vent overhead.
There is nothing holding it to the counter
The weight, noticed it took two people to flip it at the beginning.
Are the strips not adhesive?
Bad wiring methods. Ground first, then neutral, then the two hots…
