Yeah, it's peculiar to life, you know, live a productive and creative life and then.....yeah, you just don't know after that, odd that it happened to him also though, tragic that he wasn't able to break free of this mortal coil, don't know why he wasn't able to keep on living and "know that his music is played every minute of every day somewhere in the World", yeah, tragic to never know that......oh well.
As with so many bright young stars who live with a burning frenzy of passion for their calling, produce miraculous work, are adored and lionised by their public, the intensity of their lives burns them up in a supernova. What a wild ride it must have been!
Incredible indeed, but I perhaps Bach would have been even more surprised. I think the composer/composers of the Hurrian Songs would probably experience some sort of nervous breakdown if he/she/they learned that the music is known and played 3500 years later.
Vielen Dank.
Mozart's music lives within all of us. No matter if you don't appreciate classical music everyone knows the name MOZART. For us who enjoy Mozart's music, we always find a little piece of Heaven within our hearts. Mozart's gave us the greatest gift of all his poetry written within those ink strokes of pure and mystic beauty.
The legacy of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will last forever. The beauty and perfection of any single note in all of his works will inspire millions forever
That Mozart was buried in a paupers grave is a myth born of misunderstanding burial practices of the time. He was buried as a man of his social standing was normally buried. At that time bodies WERE buried side by side but marked accordingly. Unfortunately, time muddied the situation and when an attempt was made to re-uinter his remains there were questions given the close quarters and deterioration. So they may or may not have the correct remains in the new spot.
It is not how we are buried. But how we lived. How we enjoyed life and make it better for the people we know. The people we care about and yes even for the people can't stand.
I think that Tom Hulce should have won the academy award for the best actor due to his outstanding performance as well as well as his hard work in creating a believable and realistic performance in creating the character of Wolfgang amadeus Mosart.
The tragedy of this young man's life. Pure genius and child prodigy, he was like a shooting star that shot across the sky of history for one brief, shining moment, and then burned out ,and was gone. 😔
I've no doubt F. Murray Abraham is a distinguished and well-respected actor, but I will never be able to watch this movie or any clip thereof and not think Tom Hulce was absolutely robbed of an Oscar. As for Mozart... as with so many of the composers of his and nearby times... genius is almost not kind enough to describe him. Even if I'm not educated enough to know the differences between opuses, symphonies and the like, I don't think there's a single piece of his music with which I haven't fallen in love. Must've been fascinating to live during that time and have such talent right in front of you and not recognize it enough to compensate him properly for the ages.
I agree. But at the Oscars he did recognize Hulce saying that if it wasn’t for Hulce he would not have been able to play his part the way he did. Remember, too, Abraham was in more of the movie than Hulce. I believe that contributed to his getting the Oscar and not Hulce. It’s a shame that Mozart’s genius had to end the way it did. He was taken from us way too soon.
Just want u guys to know that in the movie, everytime when mozart conducting it was in the Estate theatre in Prague, which was the premiere of Don Giovanni conduected by Mozart himself in 1787,its exactly the same place which he was at
Film meraviglioso. Però pieno di errori storici e bugie colossali. Direi estramamente e orribilmente anti-italiano. Eppure la musica nasce in italia. Tutto nella musica viene dall'Italia. Ok. Bene. W Mozart. W la musica . W l'italia.
What an ignominious end for one of the greatest God gifted composers in the history of our world. But, glory in life, humility in death. He will NEVER be forgotten, his music, as recorded on modern indelible media, may outlive us all.
I watched the movie a few times years ago when it first came out and even bought the soundtrack. I think it's worth going back to it and give it another watch. Thank you for bringing it back attention to this movie.
FYI, Mozart was only seventeen when he wrote his now famous symphony nr 25, that became a mega hit thanks to the movie Amadeus. "It's people like that who make you realize how little you've accomplished. It is a sobering thought, for example, that when Mozart was my age, he had been dead for two years.” Tom Lehrer Introduction to "Alma" That Was the Year That Was (1965)
You might not love anything Mozart composed, but he did redefine every instrument in the orchestra -- its sound, its capabilities, its harmonies... and better still... the noise it made when all went silent. Because this raucous noise he made explode out of everything from orchestra to a simple piano note... couldn't help but grab your brain and hear a universe it could never hear without him.

Love Mozart . But respectfully there is no objective " best" as it is subjective opinion. "Amadeus" is the only film in history whose music would have deserved an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actor category.
Its a tragedy that Mozart would never know that his music is played every minute of every day somewhere in the world ......
Mozart lives on in the clouds up above, I saw him once, he waved to me. Then my high wore off and he went away.
I suggest to you that he knows...

Incredible that after all hundreds of years his music is still alive. His music will live until the end of the world

Just so very sad that he was dumped into a pauper’s grave, and yet his music is loved and heard all over the world. He was a genius.

I think that Tom Hulce should have won the academy award for the best actor due to his outstanding performance as well as well as his hard work in creating a believable and realistic performance in creating the character of Wolfgang amadeus Mosart.
Hulce also played the character of "Mozart" particularly well, didn't see "Mosart", whoever he is, he seems to have stood out for you though....
I tollally agree with you~ when I knew that he missed the Oscar I felt like people killed Mozart twice. His performance was so real and the best !!!
he lost it to the scene, in bed, deadly sick but still ecstatic. Too bad since the rest of the performance was incredible
Believable? HAHAHA He played a spoof of Mozart!
