Loving club now, started off with maces, now I do both although I’m learning and perfecting the club moves. Marks doing humanity a service showing us correct form so I will always support this channel.

The back view really helps get a sense of how deep the thumb should go and how much swing momentum there should be

Just got my 15 lb club in the mail 30 minutes ago. I picked just the right weight to start out for me as I've been trying out some of the movements in this video. Im fixing to tear through your videos for days with my student cap on. 😊

This video explains precisely so many little technicalities that are involved with this movement. Thank you for explaining this so well!

I've been doing 2 hand club well with the 15 pounder. First time on these 1 hand mill preps I'm using a 5 pounder. Feels like enough load to start with while learning the movements, even though I could increase load above 15 pounds on some 2 hand club exercises. It's feels like how a safe dumbbell load is less than half that of a safe barbell load due to unilateral loading's inherently lower stability level. Be reasonable people. Thanks for the instruction Mark.

as always the details are appreciated. it has taken me a good year to get the range of motion needed in my elbows. the patterns are finally coming together and the body is in a much better place. thank you

That clip of the Mill is the only time I've seen someone do a hand change on that exercise, a video on hand changes in the 1-Handed Mill and Reverse Mill would be awesome!

YES!! This the move I have searching for.
FAR better than robot shieldcast for increasing shoulder mobility.
I am two years post shoulder replacement surgery. PT was minimally helpful, and have plateaued.
One the best moves yet for increasing mobility!

Would you recommend the Adex Arc for your club online classes or a club? Note: I am just getting started.

I started with the 15 pounds a month ago. It’s very weird, There is two human sides with these exercises. The first one is physical and very effective you feel it in your flesh and the second one is psychological, there is something so primitive that triggers in my brain, like swigging a sword, a war hammer, so natural and inspirational. Thank you for this Mark, I feel very good, with a warrior twist. Cheers from Québec.

Mark, what do you think of the Slater Slammer? I need a steel mace / hammer. Would that be a good tool?

@@MarkWildman They seem well made alright. But the Wildman mace is only 20lbs. I need a sledgehammer that can be loaded up to much heavier than that. Conversely, do you know anyone who can make me some fixed-weight steel hammers?

@@wadsworth2351 badland outfitters. they guy was a welder for the navy, and then a welder and fabrication expert for attack boats. you can get a striking mace in whatever weight you want from him.

15lb is the general recommendation even for athletic people. Seems small but the leverage and type of work you're doing it can be substantial. 20lb might be okay but even those small weight jumps can be big when considering the lever.

choke up on th handle as needed... also 5-10 is fine if joints are tight. it will take a bit before they loosen. don't force it or injury will follow.

Hitting 8 repsx9 sets inside mills w the 15kg now. Debating whether to make the jump to 20kg or keep driving volume up. 20kg is a huge jump, seems dangerous.

I'm in a similar position, and I'm going to stay at this weight and stretch out my endurance. For example, you're getting 72 total reps, so I owe you 72 reps. I'll start the first set and keep going till I'm compelled to put it down. Shake it out, catch my breath and then do the second set the same way, and so on until I reach 72 reps total. By the time I can get it done in one set, I'll be ready for the next weight for sure. That's the plan, anyway.
