Many pastors don't want to serve. They want to be served.
I have recently been hurt by my church of 7 years, trying to heal and move past the open humiliation that I’ve endured I decided to move on from that church. I made that decision after a long battle with trying to convince myself to go back and be loyal, but the leaders and pastor made it no easier. They continued to post subliminal photos and videos in the churches group instead of just reaching out and checking in like some of the regular church members. No one will ever be allowed to treat me like that again! I will leave every time 🙏🏾

@ Crystal Wimberly 2 years ago I experienced severe spiritual abuse from a Pastor and church leaders. I was lied on kicked out of the church and shunned. I was ready to give up on church. But the Lord directed my steps and led me to a loving church. It is now my powerful testimony that God not only brought me out of spiritual abuse, but taught me that Jesus is the only head of the church. I learned that there are truly loving genuine Christians out there. And God is not for abuse of his people! I have so many blessings and confirmations in my new church home. I AM LOVED!! You and I serve the same Savior. What he did for me I know he can do for you. Have faith, trust God to direct your steps and follow his lead. Most importantly pray for those who hurt you. Pastors have a higher accountability with God. And that Pastor will have to answer to God for his actions. If God be for us who can be against us?
A new first time pastor emotionally abused me because he wanted me out after 25 years of faithful and dynamic youth ministry. Had to use half of my life savings to stay afloat. God is faithful to those he calls. Had a new job as a chaplain within one day and 6 months later helped start a new church where I have currently been serving as a youth minister again for 10 years. The abusing pastor lasted 5 years then was let go from his next church after a few years and currently is unemployed.
Amen. Thank you for speaking about this issue. It happened to my family. No one is willing to believe the amazing "man of god" is capable of doing what he did. People attacked US when we spoke up against this man
This happened to my family a few weeks ago! People idolize that man. If only people defended Jesus Christ before man where would we be? Lord we pray for discernment being led astray by this man. 🙏🏽
I’m sorry this happened to you. Churches are really establishing golden calves everywhere, in the shape of charismatic leaders. The church I left grew by 1000. It’s hard to believe that a place live by egotistical narcissistic man can grow so much. Now, two years later, I’ve left the church completely. I am not a Christian anymore. I realize everywhere I looked, there were issues with The leadership. Either it was because of institutional racism, or systems, set up to burn out the volunteers, or abuse of power, or miss spending the money. I have yet to see a church, mega Church, that spends most of their money doing ministries for single women, children, and the poor.
This is so raw, and it’s true. I’ve went through this 2019.... I’m still healing from what I experienced. Now I cannot trust no one. Especially within the faith.

I too have experienced this and continue to experience it, and I hope that you find healing in Jesus. Remember, my dear sister, that the church is not Jesus. People will hurt you so badly, but Jesus never will. The word of God tellsbus in Psalm 139:17 that His thoughts toward us are precious and so numerous. So by this too we know that the Lord only wants what is best for us. Don't let people who misrepresent Christ make you forget His character. I pray that you heal. Take this hurt to God and ask Him to transform your pain into healing. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

I hear you. Been through very abusive church experience from church leader and his favorites. My PTSD surfaced big time. They retraumatized me over and over. It’s hard to see it clearly when your in the midst of it. I’m healing. God is sovereign and his mercy and grace endures. I hope you can find some kind caring Christian’s out here in the body of Christ. I prayed for you. God bless you

I'm dealing with my "youth pastor" who happened to be my manager at work. Over time I noticed things in my department that we're in direct violation of store policy. And with all the training I have to go through I knew I had to say something because it was the right thing to do. It didn't end well for me over there I never got an audience with him. He never reached out and when I confronted him the other day he said how many times have I told you to keep "God out of work? " That was all I needed to hear it made sense why I could have never reported what I had to endure if I'm to put God on a shelf for 8 hours I'm sure it'll make it easy to look the other way BUT I might as well not be a Christian if I have to do that. I had it gone to church because I didn't want any drama and I do believe that the head Pastor who's known me for 20 years believes this guy's story over mine on how I left the workplace. I don't know what to do the anxiety and stress has been real I can't sleep I don't eat a whole lot I have really bad nerves knowing that this guy who came to our church within the recent years has some weird belief that God needs to stay out of work affairs I'm just lost. But I am wise enough to know that that guy doesn't represent who God is God is much more than that. But it does feel like I have no support and that I have been distanced by my fellow Church brothers and sisters...

Thank you God for this word, needed healing from recent spiritual abuse. Always perfect in your timing. God is control, let’s not let our hurt derail us from the path of God.
Was a worship leader at a church for 5 weeks, and then they sat me down. They said I had demon's, I didn't have demon's. Went thru a deliverance session, and it came out that I'm not a virgin. So then the pastor said he's not going to fire me for something that happened 8 years ago, and I had repented of it of course right after it happened. And then they auditioned me again for a position I already had, wasn't allowed to tell the church these auditions were going on. At my third audition this was 5 weeks after they sat me down, he tells me they are going another way. There was nothing mutual about that decision, but he told the church it was mutual. And then they dropped me stopped doing stuff with me, I was still going to that church. Until recently, they helped me get out of homelessness and got me an apartment which was very nice of them, im eternally grateful for this beautiful apartment they got me,, and they paid me by paying for the apartment. But now they are putting me back into homelessness, and they don't care.
I know the Lord is working all things out.
I was recently told that my husband and I have been Spiritual hinderance to the fellowship we are apart of.
There was more that has been said. And also that we’ve witnessed with the actions towards others.
It’s been a battle in my mind. But so thankful for the peace beyond understanding.
We are still in the fellowship and it’s hard for me to be totally honest

Church hurt and TRAUMA is different. Trained therapists are necessary to help through this. Also, alot of what they are doing is criminal. Unfortunately the black community is cultivating this mentality which encourages non-saved criminals to engage in this behavior under the guise of a pastor. It is sickening and alot of folks are unaware they are following unsaved people and many do not know what to do about it..

I just left a abusive bishop, I started seeing that everything was about himself. I was the church mother. He once told me that smoking weed wasn't wrong because it's a natural herb. I told him it was a drug and he didn't want to hear it. And that's not half of it, it was time to go!

*sigh* I am now battling this. Never was raised in the church but learned about church hurt from trying to go and feeling shamed. Anyway, fast forward to three years ago. I’ve committed my life to Christ, 2 yrs celibate and I meet a “man of God”. Who is also a pastors kid. Lord was I in for some stuff. We attempted to seek wise counsel, I even stopped going to my church and went to his (his parents stated they would not approve us getting married because they don’t know me). Now, all along I feel rejected by them and even attacked verbally. Long story short, they refused to guide us how to get married or prepare. Each action drives me away from God. It makes me sad that they have pushed me away and expect me to be a humble servant at their feet when they have not given me the guidance I seek. I am trying to hold on to Gods promise, but for now I am hurt and saddened by the cruelty of this family.
Needed to hear this message… thank you for your faithfulness to your calling in Christ 🙏🏾♥️

All my pastor does is give us rules as workers. You had to sign s agreement to sing in choir! He even wanted my husband who works in sound booth to change his job or change hours so he can work faithfully in sound booth? My husband works two Sundays and 2 Wednesdays in a month. I sat next to husband working the live video and I did the sound board and live together when he’s not there. Some reason pastor thinks it takes 2 people to work soundbooth. We both have stepped down today.

I just walked away quietly today. I didn't say anything to the Pastor or his RUclips group...
The issue is that there is no perfect Church. In most cases any difficult situation in Church most run not knowing that that is what Satan wants. He does his best work in the Church. He only try to destroy from within empires, families, marriages, friendship, etc. There are crazy situations that God will want you to leave a place, but other that that's when we should endure, praise God harder, lean on him more, show forgiveness, and show love to one another despite the enemies attack. We want to blame folks and it maybe legit, but we have to remember our battle is not with Flesh and Blood. When you know that and you know how Satan operates you see the battle being where the true battles is, in the spiritual realm. The only time you leave is if the word of God is not being preached. If it is, then, you don't go to Church for people because everyone there including yourself is flawed so there will be strife some times. Put on your whole armour in Church too because the devil and his fallen is there as well.

Need when I’m living from paycheck to paycheck or homeless? Then if i don’t give, it’s things that are said to scare me like I’m will go to hell or I will lose everything and won’t be blessed. Is it okay for a Pastor to yell at me for being late for church for having a miscarriage? Is it okay for the Pastor to tell you, he comes before your husband? Is it okay to be called dummy? Is it okay for a Pastor to mock me for having a skin disorder? Help me understand please
@@Simplyme530 no. Those are the crazy situations i said Lord God told you to leave. Naw you know i was not talking about stuff like that. People leave a church because someone disagreed with them. They said something how they were dressed, etc.
@@LutherPittman I’m just asking to get an understanding because I use to think these things were okay. Being told about my attire wouldn’t make me leave though but we were taught to not wear pants and the missionaries would teach about that as well but one day, I saw the same one that was teaching about not wearing them, wearing pants herself.
@@Simplyme530 if the the teaching from the pastor not wrong you should stay. If the pastor is sticking with the bible and keeping to the sound doctrine you should stay.
