In an alternate universe, the Steiner brothers and Kurt Angle take a risky move and sign to the fledgling UFC. It pays off as they immediately become faces of the UFC. They’re inducted into the UFC after a long, illustrious career with multiple title reigns between the three of them.

Should have asked the DFG about the time Scott cornered/shouted down/threatened Vince McMahon to get out of their WWF contracts. Nobody talks about that mostly because practically nobody knows it happened. Scott talked about it in a radio interview in early 2000's & Rick mentioned it in passing in a different shoot interview also from early 2000's.

undercoverbrother67 Vince will leave money on the table to not push a black wrestler.
In the 90’s, Michael Jordan, Ken Griffey Jr, Mike Tyson, and Deion Sanders were some of the biggest celebrities in America, not just in sports....and in the case of Jordan and Tyson, they were probably the 2 biggest celebrities in the entire world alongside Michael Jackson.
You have all these black mega stars, but Vince thinks black champions won’t draw.

Easy for me to say being a straight white male, but it seems to me that there are racists and there are people with a racial bias, and that's not quite the same. A racist promoter would not push a Black wrestler under any circumstance. A promoter with a bias against Blacks would probably still push a Black wrestler if he could make money. That's not excusing the bias. It's still ignorant and stupid, but at least a person like that will let you earn a living and mind his own business.
Reading over the history of pro wrestling, you'd be a pretty limited promoter if you were racist. Probably wouldn't make very much money programming only white men on top. Because if you're racist against Blacks, you probably don't feel too great about Hispanics, Italians, Greeks, or any number of other ethnicities that have made money for promoters coast to coast. Can you imagine some promoter saying "No way I'm booking Landos! Lousy Greek!"
