@630 Cars unfortunately it's still a SUV boring mobile. It's the vehicle that parents purchased instead of the Holden Commodore or Falcon wagon, killing them off. Horrible vehicle, but you can always put the running gear into something not bad.
I like it. It's a fast dadmobile. I like how it's still subtle and the exterior mods don't stand out. The owner must not be someone who asks why? but rather why not?.
@@gavinmorley5029 your right it's a FKS revision.. Was thinking this gen HL shared more with the 3RX than the 4RX. Now that I have a 4RX I realize it's a FKS and not a FE
@630Cars Kinda what I was thinking. What was the (lowering) deciding factor? Some performance goal? Strictly looks? Because everyone else does it? So grandma can get it easier? Nice build man. Very nice. Good attention to detail too.
13:26 - glass that opens separately from the door should be standard on ALL these station wagons. It's so much easier when parked in a garage or a parallel parking situation. In the case where the power lift is slow, the separate glass is much easier to use. I wish this was widespread across the segment.
That right there is why i don't like things like Automatic Trunks. I much prefer manual because its quick and simple. i suppose it can be useful every once and a while, but by far most of the time id rather quickly open the trunk and have full control of how much its opening and what its doing. some brands like subaru dont even let you push on the trunk while its moving to make it stop.
My 11 highlander limited was fully manual and powered independent of each other so you could do either effortlessly. My wife's 18 CRV is so annoying. The the power connection is always active, always in the way, slows everything down. What a dumb( probably cheaper) way of doing it.
Numbers please. I believe a stock 2017 Highlander ( a 3.5 but Atkinson Cycle ) has 35-36 hp and around 20 ft lbs of torque more than the 2016 as well as having an 8 speed. I have heard that the 0-60 time is around 7:00 seconds? To be impressive I would hope it could take 2 seconds off that time as well as dropping 5he 1/4 mile time to just under 14 seconds from 2017 stock 15.1 or so. My2017 willl get up and go pretty good if I punch it from a rolling start.
REAR HATCH SUCKS - ALL 201X-ERA TOYOTA SUVS Yeah the rear hatch motor is the same as the one in the RAV4 (2017 SE)... Slow, but even worse, sometimes it just refuses to open, requiring you to restart, shift to drive and back to park, manually open/close (overdriving the poor lil gearbox on the motor), or some combination of those actions to get the damn thing to open or close.
There was a trd supercharged Aurion in Australia, even fwd it would be better than these horrible vehicles, x5s, gle mercs, pathfinders, etc, all vehicles that shouldn't exist except for avoiding epa rules originally.

Had to watch the video to see if i read that correctly.
The GR Highlander they never made. That's strangely awesome

Listening to 93.9 Lite FM I see. Very sophisticated, my good man!
Even the Toyota 2GR-FE is used in the Lotus Evora too😂 that's where a lot of the performance parts come from
@630Cars yep and btw you have a nice Highlander. Thay duel exhaust definitely adds some flavor. Want to do that with my AL10 Rx-350 one of these days.
thre highlander engine is different from the block upwards called 2GR-FKS

if I had a supercharged toyota highlander Id probably keep the exterior stock. Sleeper build
Love the unique stuff!
Bro dead axx out of every car he could of super charged did a damm highlander 💀
Should have driven a bone stock Highlander RIGHT before to see what the actual difference is between the two.
Both are boats...
2k kit and 1 k labor? Holy shit thats cheap af for this kinda shit.
$3k is still cheap for a full kit. Try getting a Maggie for an LS, $8k easy before labor.
Yes I definitely reread that video title….
Build video please! I’d do that mod for $3000! All in build cost must be closer to $5-6k.? Totally worth it. Toyota quality!
You are crazy to try and modify like that.

Yo i have a 3rd gen Sienna with the Same 3.5 L v6, I want to super charge this shit too.

Do it well enough and she won't know...
I can't imagine that short ram intake doing much but making noise, especially with a supercharger.
