When do you think they are ready for combat in sufficient numbers? 2030? 2035? I suppose the latter....It may propably get to be a great aircraft, but it will take several years before anyone sees them in REAL Action...the american 'empire' will have crumbled when these actually see combat, how much debt is the US in right now? So let's stay realistic, please!

People can't imagine what we have. After serving in the military I worked for Northrop on the B2 Spirit which was a Black World project back then. Nobody knew what it was, our families didn't know we even worked for Northrop as it was masked as another company, and if it weren't for Cavenaugh who sold half the blueprints to the Russians it may still be a secret. This of course is all public now and I can speak of it but I will tell you one thing, take the most incredible thing you know to be true right now and understand that it was most likely developed at least 20 years ago. If you knew what we really have it would blow your mind. I saw things I still haven't seen become public yet back in the 80's. Just look at what Elon Musk is creating in record time on the X1. It looks like what many would call a UFO and has record speeds, altitude capabilities, laser and microwave tech that is far beyond imagination. God forbid a WWIII, it may as well be Armageddon.

Hopefully though, they've been under constant threat by China for the longest time over the China Straight but for now, China has turned their attention to Thailand because they have the market cornered on superconductors and they want it.

    • @PatriotCoinRings
      @PatriotCoinRings 2 месяца назад +3

Just a funny note on the B2 Spirit I was involved with. When it was a black world project completely unknown to the world, we would fly it over the Pacific ocean and we would on occasion see news paper reports of a UFO spotted. What we think of UFO's could easily be craft that won't be known for another 20 years. Since the arrest of Cavenaugh for selling half the blueprints to the Russians which is why we opened up and made the B2 public knowledge, you can frequently see them flying over white sands New Mexico. I live in California but when I'm visiting relatives out that way serving in the area, I like to pull over on the side of the road and just watch them fly in and out openly viewed by anyone passing by or stopping to watch. They are spectacular birds.

That must be... difficult? I'm not sure. To know some of the secrets that this country has regarding military technology must be.. ? I don't know. Part of me thinks it'd be interesting to pick your brain, the other part of me doesn't want anything to do with that responsibility. It's a burden I'd rather not carry.
I live not too far as the crow flies from Area 51. People in this town, people I consider to be intelligent, sane, drug free, and normal, have told me they've seen strange objects mostly at night and occasionally during the day. I've been here 13 years and I haven't seen anything unusual.
My late father flew ultralights all over this desert. He told me a time when he was puttin' along in a long valley at a whopping 35mph when suddenly a B-1 went by him at the same altitude. Luckily the jet wash didn't plant him into the ground. I told him it was time to get some strobe lights on that flying kite of his or wrap it in aluminum foil!
I was a Sergeant (E-5) in the Marine Corps during Desert Storm. After the war, I'd heard a squadron of B-2's out of Missouri flew to Iraq, dropped their ordinance and returned home, nonstop! That puts a smile on my face to this day. However, having flown and owned a C-170A for several decades, flying cross country can be very monotonous. I can only imagine those B-2 pilots, other than refueling, and while over Iraq, they must've been bored to tears during that long flight!
No doubt you have some interesting and exciting thoughts stored in the back of your mind. I would think that being unable to share would be a little frustrating. LOL, better you than me! No offense...
Thank you for your service and your contributions as a civilian in keeping Americans safe here at home and abroad. Personally, I appreciate it, I worry about both my kids and this country's future. Best wishes. Be safe, Sir.
*Edit* Be safe Sir, or Ma'am.

The X-44 MANTA sounds like a true game-changer! At 3:16, the description of the Parallax system making the aircraft invisible both to radar and the human eye is just incredible. Combine that with hypersonic missiles at 3:46, and it's clear why this is a revolutionary design. But what do you think-will any current defense systems be able to handle an aircraft like this, or are we looking at a completely new era of air combat?

The X-44 MANTA (Multi-Axis No-Tail Aircraft) was a conceptual, tailless fighter jet designed by Lockheed Martin in the late 1990s:
    Design
Based on the F-22 Raptor, the X-44 was a stretched delta-wing aircraft with no horizontal or vertical tail surfaces. It was intended to test the feasibility of controlling the aircraft's pitch, yaw, and roll using thrust vectoring.
    Features
The X-44 was envisioned to have a top speed of 1,500 mph and carry missiles and a 20mm cannon. It was designed to be more stealthy and maneuverable than the F-22, and to improve fuel efficiency by reducing drag.
    Development
The X-44 was developed in partnership with NASA, but was canceled in 2000 due to budget cuts. The X-44's innovative design likely influenced the Air Force's Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program.
    Display
A Lockheed Martin X-44A is on display in the Research and Development Gallery at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.

The electromagnetic gun and those round weapons hanging from the wings aren't stealth, therefore if the X-44 goes into combat with those, it's not stealth. This has been known for a long, long time.
Remember David McCallum when he played the invisible man? When he wore clothes, you could find him--you just look for the clothes. Those weapons make the X-44 easy to find.

Essential Points: Developed during the Cold War, the X-44 Manta was intended to feature twin turbofan engines with thrust vectoring and no vertical stabilizers, reducing radar signature. Despite its potential, the program was canceled in 2000 before a prototype was built.

I think a plane which lacks a forward viewing window is dumb. Technology glitches often. There should be multiple redundant methods to view outside the aircraft, including a non-digital redundancy (ie-old school windows).
