These 6 videos have been totally awesome in showing the series 3 desks. Certainly sold for me. Can’t believe DAW mode ( Video 3 5 min 20 sec) explains the Macros...Awesome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

@presonus audio electronics Just bought the 32sc and I have to say that this video series was indispensable during setup. Getting audio in from my PC and Studio One was a snap, thanks to this series. Well done, Matt!

Fantastic series! Very helpful out-of-the box advice. I had a problem getting audio at all! I stumbled on the audio assigns in UC and found my main outs were assigned AVB. Don't know if that is standard issue but cost me a good two hours. Feeling pretty stupid until I somehow found that. Just a warning to other new users and might be worth mentioning in future episodes. But really helpful and concise info! Thank you!

I use this mixer with a Faderport one. The Faderport is great simply for the extra transport controls while editing. I have my left hand on the mouse and my right hand on the Faderport.

Hi Matt - Great videos, and I love Studio One and my StudioLive III 24. I had a question about controlling automation from the Series III in DAW mode. Is it possible to control an inserted effect's parameter using a fader vs a rotary knob? The reason: more natural and "linear" control. I suspect not and understand that one could create a separate bus / channel for that effect, but thought I'd ask. I did search the forums but didn't find an answer - probably a poorly-worded search phrase on my part. Thank You for any thoughts.

Hi Paul, I'm not 100% certain but I'm afraid I don't think that's possible with the current firmware - the faders are just permanently linked to the channel levels only. Maybe it's something they could implement in a future upgrade, I agree it'd be a great feature.

This would not be the same Paul Martin that owned MCM Recoring in Worcester Ma in the 80's would it? Or was it Lyx at the time?

I'm also interested in this. That's why I came to watch this video...some other DAW surfaces can do it...

I have been trying to use my desk for writing automation but I find it's difficult to deal with more than one channel at a time, so I just use a fader port. The other thing is, if you want to automate a panning sweep, you really need to use your mouse cause the controller on the desk is too slow.

Thank you so much for this series! Just the right info. I’m using the A&H Qu-24 desk at the moment, and while many (not all) of your teachings can be done on the A&H it lacks total integration. My biggest interest is off loading Plugin weight from Mac to the desk. Am I to understand the PreSonus desk can be used for processing FX PER CHANNEL thus taking load off of CPU in computer? As I have multiple tracking rooms, do you have video examples discussing that using the PreSonus gear? If not, would you create one? Thank you!

Thank you for the series. I have not purchased a mix desk yet. Doing research nd learning capabilities at the same time. I'm from the analog world with decent in box experience. Can you save workflow templates on the desk. For example "Edit mode" versus "Tracking" versus "mixing" etc.?

Hi! I love your tutorials. Question: Is it possible to route input line 1 on my mixer to record on input 5, with changing the cable? I have Studiolive 32s III

I suppose these automations and those macro buttons can’t be done on Cubase instead, right? Nice video btw. Thanks!

I'm slowly wrapping my head around the fact that I'm just going to have to switch from using Cubase Pro 10 to Studio One. I really want to get everything that I can out of my SL32SC mixer and it really looks like this is the only way that I can. Unfortunately for me, this means that I have to learn a new DAW. I'm 66 so I'm really not into this. Been a Cubase user for a decade at least. But, it's just the way it is.

Anyone know if you can use any audio mixer to write/control automation in a daw? I’m looking at a Samson mxp124 to get away from the mouse as is shown in this video! Pretty new to mixing so any advice is appreciated!

Automatic digital recording and editing appears easier to use than using the conventional mixing methods. The sound is even better than sounds from the original studio master tapes. That is a big difference. Digital audio would pique my interest in sound reproduction.
