Land Rover Discovery 3 D3 LR3 Suspension Fault - This one was a cheep fix! (See description)

The diagnostic computer reported a faulty suspension height sensor (there's one sensor on each wheel on the D3). Looking under the vehicle revealed damage to the wiring to the sensor. Replacing the damaged section solved the problem AND cost a fraction of the price of a new height sensor. A win.
A diagnostic computer is the way to start but do look for wiring and other faults before jumping in with expensive new parts. Good luck.
