I feel that if your spouse have a female friend, then it should be your friend also. But usually when a man become involved in a committed relationship, a real woman will step aside, and know that she can no longer have the same role in his life that she once had, she can't be his confidant anymore, that role now belongs to his wife. The same as it would be for a woman who's best friend happens to be male. It's called respect.

Guys are different than Girls , girls seem to need other females , but guys usually draw close to their wife and the friends may still be friends but you would rather be with your wife , and less and less time is spent with the boys , then children come and couple may have evenings out with other couples .
