Holy shit. That riff at the start is the heaviest music I've ever heard Within Temptation play.

Indeed. I know some people think Within Temptation have abandoned their metal roots, but the music they have been making in recent years has been way heavier (heavier guitars, bass, drums etc.) than the music they made back when they were a more (for lack of a better word) traditional symphonic rock/metal band.
@@Khenfu_Cake but the older stuff still sounds heavier because you can actually hear the more gritty guitars and bass, the drums sound real. Literally everything is fake on their music now, even Sharon's voice is altered.
I always anticipate you guys doing reactions to metal songs. I really enjoy listening to both of you analyzing the musical arrangement of songs and sharing your thoughts on those songs. Great work!

They were opening for IM since IM attracts way more audience in the US. A lot of people never even heard of WT but most were surprised how good they were live.
In their tour with Evanescence in Europe they were changing the headliner role each concert. In Europe WT is huge, they did headline the Mera Luna festival recently and there's a good live coverage on YT.

Hello guys from the Czech Republic, this song is simply brilliant, every time I listen to it, I still get goosebumps from the angelic voice of Sharon Den Adel and the great music, the fact that WT tightened up the music just improved it by at least 200%, all her the albums are great, but Bleed out....OM..fck...G....really brilliant.😎🤟

I hope this is the single that gives WT the acclamation they deserve. The subject matter of their recent singles sets a major tone for the new album. We're talking subject matter most bands or artists would not dare touch. In regard to this powerful track, it's quite meaningful and in more than just one way. While the lyrics are inspired by what's going in Iran with women being killed or abused for not wearing their hijab correctly or for not wearing one at all...the song itself transcends that specific inspiration by lyrically empowering all of us humans to stand up and advicate for ourselves. We are all equal. We all bleed the same. We exist on this planet together. And we all deserve freedom! This sentiment is completely heart felt in the way this band portrays the subject matter. The heavy djenty metal vibe that is a refreshing sound to hear from them, really drives the lyrics into the soul. I cannot end my review of this song without mentioning the vocals...as always the lyrics are brought to life by an absurdly underrated and most powerful siren of sound, that is Sharon den Adel's glorious voice. She sings from her heart (this is most evident when you see the band live) which helps captivates the listener. This song truly knocked my favorite WT song out if it's #1 spot and took it's place. And I have to say, no WT song or single from The Unforgiving, Hydra, or Resist has taken a place in my top 5 WT tracks. That says a lot
8:05 that song, especially, sounds even more expressive live! Check out their Mera Luna performance, really emotional and more “organic”
Hearing you talk about acoustic Within Temptation, they do have an acoustic live album, which has songs from their first 3 releases. The DVD was cancelled, but it's a shame they haven't done that with recent releases

I've seen the complete video of their 2023 Hellfest concert where they did this song live for what I believe was the first time. Unfortunately when the concert was offically uploaded to youtube the song was edited out.

Good afternoon gentlemen, I loved the song and the video, it sounded a bit heavier than some of their other stuff but for me it worked and sounded great. The video reminds me of that old A-ha song witht the pencil drawing video, "take on me or take me on" I think. Thanks for sharing, have a lovely weekend.

The only thing that trips me out about the video is the lack of eye contact from the "sharon" and the lips not moving correctly. But it is super beautiful and the song is awesome!

I'm curious as to if they actually filmed the band playing the song against a green screen and scenes of Sharon by herself and then took that footage and gave it to the AI artist who created the video. 🤔

This is a great song and a good video. I love the song listening to the Teezers several times Before the video count. The video didn’t add a whole lot to the music the music was already beautiful and powerful. Also, I believe during the making of this video, the band were on tour with iron maiden and others . They may not have had a lot of time to film a video while being on tour. Their life shows are insane. However, if you like beautiful heart, happy music go see within temptation next time you get a chance.! Rock on!

What's interesting is that you could hear WT on dayily basis on regular radio just like that. As for the song - the video surely looks like AI generated.

It's interesting how they've changed but the within temptation sound is still there. That AI video is....meh... it's too much technology for me, I need the actual videos where we see the real people in real places or whatever..

I kinda like the song but find the video super distracting because the woman is obviously supposed to be Sharon (figure, hair, silouette) but isn’t - at least at the beginning. And the movements make me a bit sea sick. So I have a hard time concentrating on the song.

Good song, great voice and the video production is amazing but in my opinion is a very week metal song.
Who cares if the video is AI generated the band used it as an artistic way to express this powerful song in such an expressive way. I was captivated by the meaning behind the words, her angelic voice and what the images in the video evoked. Im sure the band purposefully used AI and didn't just throw it in, but used it to illustrate the message. Thats my take and I found it to be powerful in every way.
