Another example of Christians arguing with christians. Jehovah's witnesses absolutely believe their interpretation of the bible is the correct one , and every other one is tainted by Satan. It's only one book people, and you guys can't come close to figuring out what it means. No wonder people are finally walking away from what is so obviously iron age superstitions and scribblings. Welcome to the world of reality It's just better.

      2) And who resurrected Jesus according to most Christians now a days?

The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has glorified his Son and Servant, Jesus
      Exodus 6:3

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

@@tongakhan230 - Michael is totally accurate and correct in what he says. JWs are not encouraged to read the Bible by itself. Here are two quotes by the JW masters that proves this:
From the October 1, 1967 Watchtower: “Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible. For this reason the Bible CANNOT be properly understood without Jehovah’s visible organization in mind.”
From JR: In other words, it's not what the Bible says that has the final say in a person's life; it's what the JW masters SAY the Bible says that has the final say. This means that reading the Bible apart from the (GUFFAW!) “study materials” in the publications is a MUST. You can't read the Bible by itself - You HAVE to have the dictations of the JW masters. Why? Because THEY say so. Nothing more to it than that.
And here's the quote that actually does say that JW are discouraged from reading the Bible on its own:
"From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..." The Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1981.
From JR: Did you get that? If you read the Bible by itself, you will believe in the Deity of Christ (actually, you'll become a Trinitarian) because that is exactly what the Watchtower is referring to here when it says "apostate doctrines." In other words, if you read the Bible alone by itself you will not arrive at Watchtower doctrines. This is an amazing admission by the Watchtower organization. It is clear, Jehovah's Witnesses do not get their teachings from the Bible, but from the JW masters in the Watchtower literature.

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave.

Would you like to see a list of the Scriptures that were INSERTED in the KJV?
In the late 19th century, scholars B. F. Westcott and F.J.A. Hort compared existing Bible manuscripts and fragments as they prepared the Greek master text that they felt most closely reflected the original writings.
In the mid-20th century, the New World Bible Translation Committee used that master text as the basis for its translation. Other early papyri, thought to date back to the second and third centuries C.E., were also used. Since then, more papyri have become available.
Based on those master texts, it is evident that SOME VERSES OF THE CHRISTIAN GREEK SCRIPTURES FOUND IN OLDER TRANSLATIONS, such as THE KING JAMES VERSION, were actually ADDITIONS MADE BY LATER COPYISTS AND WERE NEVER PART OF THE INSPIRED SCRIPTURES.

All these verses were added to the KJV:
      The verses are Matthew 17:21; 18:11; 23:14; Mark 7:16; 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; Luke 17:36; 23:17; John 5:4; Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29; and Romans 16:24.
The only Scriptures removed by JW's are the ones added by the KJV that didn't belong there in the first place! Learn some facts before posting ignorance!

Greg, as a fan of independent thinking, have you critically considered the -possibility- that this person may have a biased motive to attempt to misrepresent the perspective of people who challenge his beliefs?
We're the ones telling people "Read the bible for yourself. Challenge the 'unquestionable, yet ineffable divine mysteries.' Question everything!"
If you'd look up the article that quote comes from and read it in context, you may note that the intent is NOT to diminish critical thinking. But that truth is not subjective. We should not be independent in the context of "me having my truth and you having your truth." Rather, we should reason together from the scriptures so that both of us can find THE truth. Not just what's popular or orthodox or comfortable.
I'd encourage you to think for yourself, and question people who represent views they don't hold as 100% cartoonishly ridiculous. ... as much as you would be skeptical of people representing their own views as 100% inerrant. Either is a rather clear indication of bias.

NO angel would ever make the declaration Christ makes for Himself in John 14:7-9. Michael would DEFINITELY NOT ever make these declarations. His name means "Who Is Like God?"
Obvious answer: NO ONE. If Michael had made those declarations, he would be going against the meaning of his own name and committing blasphemy.
NO angel would ever receive for itself the declaration of Thomas in John 20:28.
NO angel has the same nature as God, as Paul states Christ does in Philippians 2:6.
In NO angel does all the fullness of God reside, as Paul states in Colossians 2:9.
Secondly - Consider the following: Some of your core and essential beliefs as a JW are that your JW masters are the only, ONLY ones who...
      - were appointed by God and have His approval and ALL others are false, wrong, apostate, of Satan and so on.
      - are the only, ONLY communicators of God's truth and ALL others are false, wrong, apostate, of Satan and so on.
      - are the only, ONLY ones who can interpret the Bible correctly and ALL others are false, wrong, apostate, of Satan and so on.
      - are the only, ONLY ones who have the genuine message of salvation and ALL others are false, wrong, apostate, of Satan and so on.
And they have also declared that a person absolutely MUST become a JW in order to have the possibility of maybe gaining salvation one day.
Now - To be a JW means that a person is absolutely 100% REQUIRED to believe the listing above - without question - for the possibility of MAYBE gaining salvation one day. For JWs, anyone who does not subscribe 100% to the above is apostate.
The problem is - NONE of what's listed above is actually biblical.

Number 44 is me. I was raised and baptized a Jehovah’s Witness from a child. I read the Bible so much hoping to find common ground with people I came across in the door to door ministry that I ended up becoming a Baptist.
It’s funny because it is from the Baptists they came from and then so arrogantly rejected. They speak of not reading scripture alone and in small groups for fear one will stray from the organization and that is exactly what Russell and his companions did in the early years and now look at their central beliefs.
Honestly, if they weren’t so dogmatic about “new light” and their own interpretation of scripture and high views of themselves, they wouldn’t be a horrible church to join.
I’m grateful for the experience because the faith I once wore as a badge of honor taught me a lesson I’ll never forget: to read Gods word for myself and never blindly accept man’s interpretation as my own. So I thank them at least for that.

Revelation 21:4 We know this isn’t talking about heaven, because there has never been pain, suffering or death in heaven and here it says “the former things have passed away”.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us God put an eternity in our hearts. That’s why, even people who have been misled to believe they’ll go to heaven when they die, still don’t want to die. We have a natural, God-given desire to live on earth.
Gods purpose for the earth has not changed. Genesis 1:28 tells us that purpose. Satan lied, Adam and Eve sinned, but that did not change God’s purpose for people or the earth.
God had already created angels in heaven. If he wanted more beings in heaven, why would he create the earth, make people, after they sin allow them to suffer and then if they’re good, take them to heaven? That just doesn’t make sense and it’s also not what the Bible teaches. Isaiah 65:21-22
Adam and Eve were locked out of the garden of Eden. Gods people will be given the paradise earth again, as God originally purposed. No one is being “locked out of heaven”. The truth the Bible teaches is of a paradise earth.
Isaiah 25:8 says Jehovah will swallow up death forever.
Daniel 2:44 shows God’s kingdom will stand forever. Under that kingdom, the one Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6:9-11 and the one he instructed his followers to preach about (Matthew 24:14), God’s true followers will enjoy life on a peaceful earth, forever.

If they were like every other Christian denomination, they would go along with false doctrines like the trinity even though it is known that teaching came hundred of years after the death of Jesus and the apostles, is not Biblical, became part of “Church doctrine” by royal decree and it’s origins are based on Plato’s philosophies which were greatly influenced by Pagan and Greek gods and beliefs.
If they were like every other Christian denomination, they would not follow Jesus example and direction and go out teaching people about God’s kingdom (Matthew 24:14 and Matthew 28:19-20) and the real purpose for mankind.
Luke 6:22 and John 15:19 shows why the world (including all these other “Christians” who can accept each other but not JWs) would hate Jehovah’s Witnesses, because they are separate from the rest of the world. They are different. They don’t just go along with what everyone else says, but have studied the Bible to see what it actually says to learn the truth and not just go along with the false teachings the “Church” has forced on everyone for centuries.
Matthew 7:13-14 shows that broad is the road to destruction, but narrow the gate to life and few will find it. Would you rather be among the widely accepted or the group who Christ selected out of the world, to be no part of the world, and who are among the few who find the narrow path that leads to life?

But mark, I pray you, how even by the question itself they are convicted; in not saying, Why do they transgress the law of Moses, but, the tradition of the elders. Whence it is evident that the priests were inventing many novelties, although Moses, with much terror and with much threatening, had enjoined neither to add nor take away. For you shall not add, says he, unto the word which I command you this day, and you shall not take away from it. Deuteronomy 4:2
But not the less were they innovating; as in this instance, that one ought not to eat with unwashen hands, that we must wash cups and brazen vessels, that we must wash also ourselves. Thus, when men were henceforth, as time advanced, to be freed from their observances, at that very time they bound them with the same in more and more instances, fearing lest any one should take away their power, and wishing to strike more dread, as though they were themselves also lawgivers. The thing in fact proceeded so far in enormity, that while their own commandments were kept, those of God were transgressed; and they so far prevailed, that the matter had actually become a ground of accusation. Which was a twofold charge against them, in that they both invented novelties, and were so strict exactors on their own account, while of God they made no reckoning.
And omitting to speak of the other things, the pots and the brazen vessels (for it was too ridiculous), what seemed more reasonable than the rest, that they bring forward, wishing, as seems at least to me, in that way to provoke Him to anger. Wherefore also they made mention of the elders, in order that He, as setting them at nought, might give occasion against Himself.
But it were meet first to inquire, why the disciples ate with unwashen hands. Wherefore then did they so eat? Not as making a point of it, but as overlooking henceforth the things that are superfluous, and attending to such as are necessary; having no law to wash or not to wash, but doing either as it happened. For they that despised even their own necessary food, how were they to hold these things worth much consideration? This then having often happened unintentionally-for instance, when they ate in the wilderness, when they plucked the ears of grain-is now put forward as a charge by these persons, who are always transgressing in the great things, and making much account of the superfluous.
      2. What then says Christ? He did not set Himself against it, neither made He any defense, but straightway blames them again, plucking down their confidence, and signifying that he who commits great sins ought not to be strict with others concerning small matters. What? When you ought to be blamed, says He, do ye even blame?
But do thou observe, how when it is His will to set aside any of the things enjoined by the law, He does it in the form of an apology; and so He did in that case. For by no means does He proceed at once to transgress it, nor does He say, It is nothing; for surely He would have made them more audacious; but first He clean cuts away their boldness, bringing forward the far heavier charge, and directing it upon their head. And He neither says, they do well in transgressing it, lest He should give them a hold on Him; nor does He speak ill of their proceeding, lest He should confirm the law: nor again, on the other hand, does He blame the elders, as lawless and unholy men; for doubtless they would have shunned Him as a reviler and injurious: but all these things He gives up, and proceeds another way. And He seems indeed to be rebuking the persons themselves who had come to Him, but He is reprehending them that enacted these laws; nowhere indeed making mention of the elders, but by His charge against the Scribes casting down them also, and signifying that their sin is twofold, first in disobeying God, next in doing so on men's account; as though He had said, Why this, this has ruined you, your obeying the elders in all things.

Angel simply means messenger, and Jesus is not viewed as having the nature of an angel. He is viewed as perfectly equal with the Father, eternally self-existent, 'in Whom was all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." Colossians 2:9. Michael is simply viewed as a title for Jesus. Jesus is the, I AM. John 8:58. He and the Father are one. John 10:30.
I remember now a key word associated with Michael and Jesus (or the Messiah in Daniel).

Adventists do not believe Jesus is an angel; only that He took the 'title' of Michael the archangel. That's it. If you want to know why Adventists come to the conclusion that Michael is a title that refers to Jesus, just examine these verses:
First, the same 'voice' that awakens the dead is both the voice of the Son of God and the voice of the archangel-- "The dead shall hear [the voice of the Son of God]: and they that hear shall live." John 5:25. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with [the voice of the archangel], and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first." 1 Thessalonians 4:16.
Second, Michael is called our 'prince' as is also the Messiah in Daniel. "Messiah the prince," Daniel 9:25. "Michael... the great prince." Daniel 12:1. "Michael, your prince." Daniel 10:21. Feel free to examine the context.
No Adventist that I know of thinks that Jesus is an angel or anything less than fully divine -"the fullness of the Godhead bodily," "God manifest in the flesh." Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16.

I’m not a Jehovah’s Witness by any stretch of the imagination, but what makes you think Jesus is God? That doctrine is found nowhere in the Bible and first arose in the third and fourth centuries. Jesus does not have to be God to be our Lord and Savior; Jesus is not a deity, but He is divine; the angels are divine and yet are not deities (not that Jesus is an angel, rather a divine human).
Jesus never says that He is God; on the contrary, He cites that God is one as being the most important commandment (Luke 5:31). Is this simply Jesus repeating the most accepted fact of Judaism to His followers, or is it Him trying to warn against something like the Trinity doctrine?
1 Timothy 2:5 states: “For there is one God and one mediator between God and humanity, the man Christ Jesus.”
Jesus constantly prays not just to the Father, but to God (who are of course one and the same in whole). Why would Jesus pray to Himself?
The biographers of Jesus (the authors of the gospels) make totally clear that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God. They did not, however, claim Jesus to be God. Why would they include such important details as these but not the most important detail? Wouldn’t God Himself coming to Earth in human form be significant enough to mention in more than a single vague prologue (John 1:1-5). Which, by the way, I also have something to say about.
John 1:1-3 says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He [it] was with God in the beginning. All things were created through him [it], and apart from him [it] not one thing was created that has been created.”
The Word is not a deity (almost all modern translations are written by biased trinitarians, hence the use of “he” and “him” rather than “it”, which is an acceptable, if not more accurate translation of the original Greek). The Word is not the person of Jesus. The Word is how God created all that there is, and in it is God’s ultimate plan for the redemption of humanity. The Word was there in the beginning, with God. It was so fundamental to God’s creation that it could even be said as being part of God, in the same way as a person’s purpose in life could be said to be “who they are”. God’s greatest role is as the Creator; it is who He is. With the Word, God created everything that is.
This is included as a prologue to the Gospel of John to highlight that Jesus is the culmination of God’s plan to redeem humanity, to save it from itself. It is not meant to call Jesus God.

Okay, first off, it’s YHWH, not YWHW. And Jesus was not killed because He claimed to be God; He was killed because A) the Pharisees were uncomfortable with the stir Jesus was making in Judea and wanted to retain their power and B) it was necessary for Jesus’ ultimate purpose to be fulfilled.
Now, about your two verses. I’ll address John 10:30 first, as it’s easier to explain, and John 8:58 second.
John 10:30 says “I and the Father are one”. This is not Him saying that He is literally one substance with the Father. Jesus is obviously very figurative, hence His use of parables to teach. What He’s most likely saying here is that He and His Father share one purpose, that purpose being our salvation. And I’d also like to point out that the Bible constantly refers to married couples as one flesh. Obviously, this doesn’t mean they literally fuse together and become one substance. Therefore, the assumption that Jesus saying that He and the Father are one means that Jesus is saying that He is of the same substance as the Father is incorrect, especially with a lack of other evidence to support this idea.
Now, John 8:58. It says, “Jesus said to them, ‘truly I tell you, before Abraham was, I am.’” You are correct that God refers to Himself as “I am”, although you are incorrect in thinking that saying “I am” is equating yourself to God. The words “I am” are used many many other times in the Bible by people who are obviously not claiming to be God. And additionally, the Koine Greek words _ego eimi_ are also translated to “I am he”, “it is I”, and “I am the one I claim to be”. Keep in mind that the first English translation of the Bible came almost a thousand years after the Trinity doctrine was adopted, and that translators of the Bible are humans subject to bias and error. So what this saying of Jesus could be saying is more along the lines of “Before Abraham was, I am there” which is referring to the Word as I previously explained. And I think that this sort of confusing translation error/incompatibility with English is much more likely than the usual trinitarian interpretation because it clearly did not affect the disciple’s views, seeing as this idea is never expanded upon and none of the epistles’ authors ever claim that Jesus is God.
Honestly, it’s as simple as this: if the disciples knew that Jesus is God, why did they never say that in the Bible? The authors of the gospels never say that Jesus is God (besides very few verses that have nontrinitarian explanations that make more sense). Paul never says that Jesus is God. None of the other epistles say that Jesus is God. Revelations doesn’t either. This applies whether or not you believe in biblical inerrancy. If the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, why would it only say that Jesus is God a couple times very vaguely and with alternative nontrinitarian interpretations? If the New Testament is the testament of people who knew Jesus Himself or knew people who knew Jesus, why don’t they say that Jesus is God?
And finally, I want to point out that the Bible, even if you take the trinitarian interpretations of these very few verses over the otherwise complete lack of claims that Jesus is more than the Son of God and our Lord and Savior, does not support the idea of the Trinity. The creators of the Trinity doctrine took Matthew 28:19 and decided that the three things that Jesus commanded we baptize in the name of (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit*) are supposed to be persons of God, despite no personification of the Spirit in the Bible.
*Father (God), Son (the teachings and sacrifice of Jesus), and Holy Spirit (God’s guidance of born-again Christians through His Holy Spirit)

*FOR ALL - Consider the following quote from the Watchtower:*
“Let us face the fact that no matter how much Bible reading we have done, we would never have learned the truth on our own. We would not have discovered the truth regarding Jehovah, his purposes and attributes, the meaning and importance of his name, the Kingdom, Jesus’ ransom, the difference between God’s organization and Satan’s, nor why God has permitted wickedness,” (Watchtower, Dec. 1, 1990, p. 19).
According to this quote - ALL the beliefs listed by the JW masters - about God, about Christ, and so on - come after and under the admission of a person will never arrive at JW beliefs by reading the Bible, no matter how much Bible reading they do. Those things are examples of the first sentence.
So - According to this _admission_ by the JW masters - *A person will never arrive at JW beliefs about God, about Christ, and so on by reading the Bible no matter how much Bible reading you do.*
Therefore - Since you will never arrive at JW beliefs by reading the Scriptures, no matter how much you read them, that means...
    a) That JW beliefs are not biblical.
    b) That any and every time a JW tries to prove JW beliefs by using the Bible, he/she is trying to do something that the JW masters have openly stated _cannot_ be done.

They believe they will see their dead love ones resurrected here on Earth.
Also they have the hope to live forever on a paradise Earth!

The world in their mind is corrupt and controlled by satan the devil.. NOTHING is good in it!!

Yes. Very accurate. The one correction I would make concerns reading the Bible by oneself. We were actually encouraged to do this. It’s also OK to study in groups. As long as you base your studying and your conclusions on the publications by the watchtower, you were OK to do this. It’s when you start drawing conclusions that go contrary to doctrine and you discuss it with other members that you get into trouble. Sometimes, you can discuss it with people you trust. Family members in that sort of thing. Other times, you’ll get a talking to about not having enough faith. If you keep it up though, you can get yourself in serious trouble where they start disciplinary action on you. I ran into this issue lots of times because of the 1914 and 1919 doctrines. Always seemed absurd to me. It’s all based on an inaccurate date. Thanks again for the video
