l'm so happy to have completely eliminated direct resins from my practice for any preparations with dentin margins. Indirect 3D printed restorations solve polymerization shrinkage stress issues and degree of conversion issues that plague direct resins. Take this case. The direct resin on tooth 5 is only 2 years old, it already has massive decay and wear. Here we removed all the old resins, cleaned the preparation using magnification with a global surgical microscope. We scanned and then designed in exocad. 3D printed on the Sprintray Pro Il, as a placeholder until we get MIDAS. Delivered with Ivolcar Adhese Universal combined with Variolink Esthetic.
