  • . My firt MIDAS veneer case. This was the hardest No prep 3D printed veneer case of my career. This case is not really a no prep case. This is comprehensive ortho and min prep veneer case. Which is the treatment I presented to the patient. The patient refused ortho and didn’t want any tooth reduction whatsoever. my typical response to all these demands is “ yea sure, I want to ride to work on a unicorn but that doesn’t happen”. But, with 3D printing I find I am able to meet patiets where they are and offer other solutions that I would be reluctant to offer with porcelain. We printed these 200 microns thick on the Midas using the new 70% filled resin. I then thinned them out by hand to under 100 microns thick. #midas #veneers #exocad #3dprinting

Amazing work doctor! I was wondering where do you draw the marginline when working on a cases like this? How do you manage the veneer to blend in seamlessly at the margins?

Hey Wally, I saw the announcement email for this a couple of weeks ago and it looks really interesting. Has Sprintray shared technical specs of the new resin with you as far as flexural strength, modulus, etc?
