This was the best tribute performance I’ve ever seen, and smokey never seems to age. They were all great but Gerald Levert on the other hand, stole the show RIP Teddy Bear.

The best Tribute I have ever seen. Every one was good. Floetry was great, but, Gerald LeVert and Marsha Ambrosia's song made my soul warm, ummm- my Sweet Jesus of Mercy... my entire body shivered. Then Smokey came on the stage singing Cruising with that buttery smooth voice like he doesn't know what aging is...as if it doesn't apply to him and made me feel butterflies everywhere. This tribute was amazing! B.B. King listen to, Gerald LeVert and Marsha Ambrosia tribute and Smokey Crusin...you will get your thrill on steroids back!

Smokey has traveled an amazing path..ups & downs like we all have..but keeping the path wide and open with all the music he has contributed to the benefit of other artists. Always a pleasure to see an artist receive an award while he can hold it and receive flowers while he can still smell their fragrance.
Many of us in Listener land, probably fell in lust, infatuation ..and love..all our evolutionary stages accompanied by the smooth spell of Mr. William/Smokey Robinson's music.
And..the "Ebony Eyes" duet performance did justice to a beautiful song.

A true legend! I saw Smokey at the Toronto Jazz festival. This man's catalogue is phenomenal and timeless. His performance was on point and he was approaching if not in his 70's at the time I was blessed to see him.

I have always loved me some Smokey Robinson. Growing up in that era when there was so much appreciation for good music,because the wording had such beautiful meaning,and you learned to enjoy/respect all that was said. It was so easy to identify with the songs during that time,because it was expressing love,and eventful times. I am so happy that Smokey was honored, because he certainly earned every moment that he worked so hard over the years to reach his intended goals. Smokey is still just as handsome as he was as a young man. The older he gets the more handsome he becomes.Smokey told every woman in the audience/world that he was still in love with his wife,and that was beautiful. Every woman that can receive that kind of love from her husband is considered much blessed :)
