- This week at our Italian house restoration project we are catching up on what feels like 100 different jobs. Gardening, fixing our old well, continuing work on our guest room, plastering our bedroom, upholstery on chairs, hiking to an abandoned masseria (farm house) and enjoying the last festival of the summer
Hope you enjoy it

Beautiful lights!!
Thank you 😊
I agree it’s very important to immerse in local culture, enjoy every day, otherwise life is too difficult just renovating all the time. Enjoy every day of your life as I enjoy watching your videos.
Thank you for your nice comment. We love Italian people and there culture so we do feel its important to not just keep to ourselves. We have been welcomed into a place and we definitely feel its important to respect that. Thanks for tuning in.
working with our hands, be it plaster or hand sewing, (omg haven’t seen that for awhile)..using machinery & organic to create…. build a sacred space… one’s own room, filled with light.
😊
Slow but steady wins the race in the long term…and anyway, it’s not a race. it’s lovely to see how things are coming along and the dogs, especially little Aldo are always a pleasure to see.
Yes day by day. Haha the dogs are our little shadows. They like to be involved which is just fine by us.
Wonderful lime paints and lime plasters.
The best!!
The work may be slow and very time-consuming, but it is very rewarding to see. You must feel a great sense of accomplishment, I hope you do. Things look like they’re turning out so well given all your hard work. Thank you for your videos and I look forward to future ones.
Thanks so much. We really enjoy the work so happy to be getting through it l. Slowly but surely 😌
The weed you're pulling out at 4:17 is called purslane, and it is packed with vitamins. You can eat it raw in salads. I use the tips and leaves 💚🌱 Beautiful place you have!
Thank you! Yes! We have other spots in the garden where we let it grow for eating. I also use it in facial masks 😊 its lovely and soothing
Love the videos, and the vintage Louis Theroux t-shirt!
Thank you. We are slowly learning youtbe hopefully we can keep improving woth each video. Love Louis Theroux haha 😄
When I see the ancient history in abandoned places, I learn so much from it. In every way, as there is also sometimes a lot to learn, how not to be so materialistic. And then I see the sweet little being in your house, so cozy in your bed - making me so happy, that this little doggie has found his place, where it can trust so much and live his little life so fine (of course the most well-bathed dog in the world, thanks to your pool! ;)
The fossiles (those imprints of shells/mussels?) of archaic times in your stones, oh my, what a treasure! This is priceless. And a real luxury. The art of nature.
And then seeing you two working so focused and in this mutual understanding, so sweet. But I should say creating, not only working... on this wonderful home, so gentle, like healing it and converting it into a so special sanctuary. That was so wonderful.
Thanks for sharing all of this, and yeiii, looking forward to the reno-videos, sharing the details, we will not get enough of it. 💕
Wow what a lovely message to receive. Thank you as always for your kind words. We are just trying our best to live a life that feels authentic to us. We are glad it resonates with you. 🤎
I get homesick, when I watch this video! Your words at the beginning, when you walk through the abandoned Masseria: you put my emotions in words, thanks for that ❤️.
I love the music you have chosen, it underlines the soft and calm spirit of Puglia and your soft and calm work on the renovation of your home. Hope we'll meet one day in Puglia!
Best wishes, Corinna and Thorsten from OffGrid4us 🤗
Oh thats so lovely! Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for your kind words. Hopefully you'll be back soon 😊

Good Video
Thank you 😊
@@Maisondebase you are welcome
Love your narrating, curious as to how cold it gets in the winter months and how you heat the home.
Thank you! It really doesn't get very cold here but we do have a fireplace that we use to take the edge off on colder nights though. Will show it when we do our full work through video in the next weeks 😊
@@Maisondebase Looking forward to seeing what you all have done:)
quite like thsese videos, not sure why i can only view this one in very low 360 resolution.
Thank you. The HD is still processing. It should be through in better quality shortly. It sometimes takes a while.
Wonderful filming I must say🌺very interesting explanations how you are progressing with the restoration. Sorry to say that your voice sounds so sad and monotone in the video. Please, absolutely no offence ment🌺🌺🌺
@@anitaklamer3360 thank you glad you liked the filming. And none taken. We are still learning how to do youtube videos so constructive criticism is welcome. Will try and sound more upbeat in the future because we actually are 😄 and hopefully sometime soon we will have some better recording equipment. Thanks again
