OMG❤❤❤❤❤ I am swooning over this video that I just happened to stumble onto at 3 a.m. EST i in the morning whilst scanning for something interesting to watch. What a perfect channel the Universe conspired to give me. I'm totally nuts about the Tuscany region of Italy, especially after watching the movie "Under The Tuscan Sun". If you haven't watched it it, you should try to find it and watch it, you will love it. Especially how the lady revamps her own little house. Not saying one more word about that, except it seriously set me to dreaming and now you pop up. My concern has always been that I'm not rich and I mistakenly thought you had to make a cash purchase, and I could never do that. But come up with a good deposit, that is within my range of possibilities. I absolutely ADORE the previously loved items you are using to decorate your home. Seeing shots of your fave little shops was making me swoon. You have a new subscriber that's gonna be binge watching your channel. Thanks so much for popping in. I can hardly WAIT to start binge watching your channel. ❤❤❤
Your little house is such a sweet dream. Thank you for taking us on this adventure. I've enjoyed the process; the shopping, finding, coffee and lunch breaks, the laundry, and meeting the lovely people on the way! Oh, and the bathroom art is true genius, interesting, and pretty.
I agree with every word. It has felt like the viewer’s own little house; we celebrate every win from a well-framed piece of art, to perfectly fitted, elegant bed skirts for the guest room. I want to take credit for those stunning curtains from Etsy. This is not in a creepy, horror movie type of way, but a delightful part of the internet way.
Hi Julie. American guy here that first knew you from “Ladies of London” which both my partner & I enjoyed. BUT … we adore you even more on both your RUclips channels. It is easy to see that you have found your true passion. Thank you for sharing!
The flea market finds are extraordinary. Julie has a wonderful eye. Perhaps part of it comes from all the knowledge she’s gained from all her work to maintain and rejuvenate Mapperton, and visiting/studying other country houses.
Beautiful. I'm happy to hear you want to keep the kitchen authentic to Italy. It IS sweet to see the old style. I had no idea how iconic it really is - I thought the old movies were exaggerating. Amazing. I want to stop by for coffee ☕ ♥
I realize Julie has made much of her private life public, but I always thought my little internal query of "why does she keep saying 'my' Italian villa?", was crossing a boundary to muse aloud. But, it finally came to me. She, probably, wanted something of her own. Everything in Mapperton is from Luke's inheritance, and she doesn't get to say, "this is mine". Now she has that sense of ownership.
Hi, Julie! I have a cousin that lives up in Scotland that has the most amazing pulley in her kitchen. I found one online (it's called a Pulleymaid) and the only thing I don't hang from it is laundry, but dish towels, wash rags, plastic bags, etc. that I don't want to run down to the basement to hang. Really convenient! It won't replace your veranda for hanging laundry, but will save you a trip up if it's a hand washed item.
Lots of tenement flats in Scotland had (and stll have ) pulleys in them - they're fantastic for drying clothes as the warmest air is always up near the ceiling. I even have one in my (modern) house utility room and I love it!
Julie, I’m in awe of everything you’ve done to your beautiful little home .. it’s perfect !! Longing to see how you transform the terrace, and ultimately of course the kitchen. Deep down in my heart this is a dream I still have for my husband and I, but I fear we are getting too old to take on something like this. For now we will follow with anticipation what you’ll accomplish with your “little piece of Italian Paradise” ❤️
I love Zodok the Priest! American here in Connecticut, British ancestry. They way Handel built that song to the crescendo gives me goosebumps everytime.Have a great time at the Coronation my friend. ❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧
It’s fabulous. I went to college in Florence, Firenze. My dream was always a little place in Tuscany. I enjoy living vicariously thru you. And, I love your interactions with Luke. You’re a charming couple.
My daughter went to school in Florence about 20 yrs. ago as well, to study Humanities, History & Art. For awhile I thought she would marry into an Italian family, but she was only 19 & I discouraged her ...After finishing her year-course, she got a job refinishing old antique furniture & even 'Tole' painting in a more Mediterranean style blended with the traditional Swedish style of Tole painting. I wanted her to continue in a more craftsman trade / Antique Restoration / Fine-Art Restoration direction but she broke up with her boyfriend & wanted to come home. (There is a need for ongoing restoration in all the ancient churches & buildings & chateaus, etc. all across Europe & there are TONS of these workshops & schools in or near Florence) She ended up going to Smith, so I guess she made the right decision. But ever since then, living in Italy has been a secret dream of mine. I was last there on my 13th birthday. I live vicariously through Julie as well! ~Tara (Kindlydude's wife)

Your decorating is brilliant, Julie, absolutely brilliant if I do say so myself. Never a dull moment in your life as you are truly one who has proven that with hard work and with a purpose - i.e., buying an Italian home - anything can be achieved with a vision.

Yes indeed!! 2020 was an unusual time to be buying and selling real estate. We sold our inner city home and moved to a village in the middle of farm county in Ontario, Canada that year. It was crazy with competition when we started looking, at the end of July. Houses were selling for 10s of thousands of dollars over asking. We were outbid so often. We finally got our house 10 days before Christmas. Then we had to sell the other house. We were signing papers at the real estate agent's office for both places on the evening of the 23rd of December, lol!! I love your little Italian house so much! It's looking amazing and I especially love how you've done it almost all second hand. The quality and history of the older pieces are something that is impossible to get with more modern pieces. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest of the house 😊.
What a truly charming little hideaway! That terrace looks like it could get really hot. Shade? A large sail or umbrella? I simply cannot wait for the kitchen re-do! Tuscany! Colors! Tiles! That room looks huge! CANNOT wait!
Great update Julie...and Luke! The little house is larger than life, filled with thoughtful items and love. Looking forward to the terrace and kitchen renovations! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Best video! Wonderful to see a finished product. You did such a beautiful job. It’s also great to see full featured videos - a little bit more than “shorts“.
Julie, you have created quite a beautiful little home- stylish, yet elegantly simple thus you won't be spending tons of time with cleaning while there- a little dusting and sweeping with a Swiffer type of broom/mop and you're done. The tile floor that looks like wood is not only beautiful but so smart because it is easy to clean but even more, it holds the cool in the tile during the hot summers- I live in Taiwan and tile floors are very common here.
Wow 💕 Julie. I love You'r little Italien House, and the decoration is spetacular. Your are very good at finding speciel antic funiture and put it together, and I can see that I can visit and stay in your gestroom 🙏😂 Thank you for sharing ☮️❤️⚡ Marianne from Denmark
Your little Italian house is very charming in contrast to Mapperton. I am glad that you were able to have some Italian antiques incorporated in your renovation. Well done.
I've just come across your videos. They're very enjoyable...you have such energy! Just one thing, I had a bit of a laugh at your word for "W.C.", which Italians pronounce "voo-chee"! Your version of the word for the little room or "loo" , " wootchy" , is so sweet! Love it!
I absolutely love everything you have done so far! The colors, the vintage items, just gorgeous! It also looks so comfortable and homey. Can’t wait to see the kitchen! I now want to buy my own little place in Italy! 🇮🇹
Julie, I admire your hard work and creativity with this renovation. I would like to do the same as you- utilizing thrift markets to find unique treasures! I love the gold light fixtures and antique furniture. My favorite decorations are the pieces of art: the painting of Florence and photos of hardware around your town. One thought I have for the furniture placements is, how about moving the couch to the wall on the right? I feel it would allow the flow of foot traffic and energy to pass from the front door to the stairwell directly without disturbing people sitting there, or requiring walking around the coffee table. In any case, your house is lovely. Complimenti!
You have made a wonderful job of your little house which is such a contrast from the massive main property where you live. so satisfying to have a partner who is encouraging and supportive of your projects.

Thank you so much!
Dan it's fast pace amazing, so love watching your progress😊
Your little Italian house is very charming in contrast to Mapperton. I am glad that you were able to have some Italian antiques incorporated in your renovation. Well done.
STUNNING!!! its light, airy, beautiful ...perfect!
I love your flea market finds and where you show what’s at the amazing flea markets in its national viewing.
I've just come across your videos. They're very enjoyable...you have such energy!
Just one thing, I had a bit of a laugh at your word for "W.C.", which Italians pronounce "voo-chee"! Your version of the word for the little room or "loo" , " wootchy" , is so sweet! Love it!
Wow, Nestor is enormous from the last time I saw him in a video!
Luke has been there too snd loves it, just a wonderful place for a vacation for ypu both in a nice warm climate!🌟
I absolutely love everything you have done so far! The colors, the vintage items, just gorgeous! It also looks so comfortable and homey. Can’t wait to see the kitchen! I now want to buy my own little place in Italy! 🇮🇹
Thank you so much!
The little house is just gorgeous , very calming. 😊🏴
You have done a great job Julie. I love your little Italian house!
I really like your kitchen! You've done so much in spite of Covid. Its good to take a break.
Ah Viscountess. I watch your other videos. I am contemplating buying an italian home for my retirement. Thank you for the insights. Lovly reno!
very nice renovation. i kind of liked the old bathroom style more (bar bathtube, that needed some work), but your change is really pleasant too
