- This week we continue our Italian house renovation. Painting our outdoor kitchen and finishing off the stone basin. We are caught off guard by a huge storm and prepare our little swim tub for summer!
Hope you enjoy
Love Ebonie and Martin
Just recently found your site and have binge watched every past episode. I hope this becomes your home oasis for some time to come. It appears so peacefilled, so organic and connected to all around you. I hope you keep building your audience, your local friendships, your businesses, (you could renovate other properties, homes, landscapes! You are definitely builders!). AND your art. AND your love for each other.
Me too! Thanks!❤
So kind of you to say so! We definitely feel drawn to this beautiful region, Italy as a whole is so special l. We are young and have no idea yet where this world will take us but we would love to hold onto this little piece of paradise if we could. Thank you again 😊
Love watching your videos. U both work together so peacefully. That storm was a beauty 😮
@@lindakelly7844 thank you! It was a good one!!
I like what you are cooking! Show us more of this!
It is amazing how you work to make it beautiful and to blend with the rustic ; and it looks like it was there all alone...you guys are the best..greetings from Miami
Thanks mate! Really kind 😊
Artists through and through. What a wonderful "stone" sink. My goodness, it lookes epical, oh my, I am smitten. Rounding edges inside... Perfect. My next sink will be exactly this. Thank you once again for inspiration, you two. Such a wonderful team you are💕
So kind of you to say so! We aren’t builders but we love exploring materials and trying things out. So happy it resonates with others !!
I love the fabulous creation you are doing in your garden / outdoor area. So dreamy and peaceful. I just found your channel 👍
Thank you 😊
You two are one of my favorite vlogs to watch. I really enjoy watching you create this beautiful oasis. Calm and peaceful. Just lovely!
Thank you so much! 😊❤️
I love seeing how you are creating such a lovely space hidden in the city. It is beautiful and I’m so glad I found your channel yesterday. I am a follower and a believer. Hello from Silicon Valley. Joan
as always ,beautiful and very inspiring , thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for follow along and your kind message 🌹
Très original quel dépaysement ❤
Merci!
Good job from Orlando FL.
Hahaha.....perfect intro music for Aldo darting through the bushes!! Your outdoor kitchen area looks fab, well done guys, so muich love and effort has gone into your garden. A pizza oven is a great idea possibly with some of your handmade tiles either as a back splash above the sink or simply decorative pieces on the walls. We get some wicked thunder storms here in Africa with hail stones the size of golf balls at times. Aaah, there's the outdoor tub, what a nice cosy corner, perfect for summer....looks great and thanks for an enjoyable video!!
Haha he’s a funny little fella! Thank you for tuning in ☺️
The sink looks fantastic. Excellent video; such a treat, as always!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
Amazing work. Bravo.
Thank you 😊
New subscriber ~ Love your videos, and Aldo is a cutie! 🐶 Great music in this one! ❤️
Thank you!! He’s so cute! 😊 star of the show
Complimenti avete creato una magnifica casa piena di fascino!!!!
Loving your garden.. 🤗
Isn’t it the cutest
Both the tub and the outdoor kitchen look really fabulous.. Loving following your progress as i live (part time) in what i think is the same area as you .
Keep them coming and if you have any more info on how you built the tub Id be grateful
Thank you!! Sadly we didn’t have our channel when we were building the tub but it was a very simple block and render construction which we sealed with a rubber membrane. It works great for seasonal use but if we built another we would probably use micro cement or tiles perhaps to seal it :)
@@Maisondebase Thanks very much an hope to see you aroun oria sometime
I love your courtyard, it's beautiful!
Thank you 😊
Love that backyard! It'll be nice to see that space at the back be useable for you.
It’s been far too long !!!
I can't seem to view your channel from when you first bought this oka8ce. I love your pantry and its a wonderful and practical use of that space. I would love to ponder as I stand there, just what delights I could rob it of. Cupboard looks very good.
How stunning...just discovered you. New subscriber. The Englishmans home is his castle....No dilapidated falling apart home. ....
Thanks for following along :)

Just recently stumbled upon your site and am delighted. Visually your garden is so stimulating creatively and I love the use of concrete. It’s soft and blends in. I will be using some of your ideas in my outdoor kitchen.
So nice of you! Glad you are enjoying. Thanks for following along
❤👏🏻
❤️❤️❤️
This is such a wonderful project!!! Just came across your channel. I do have a couple of questions in regards to all your beautiful concrete creations. How are the countertops created? Do they have a wooden base with mesh around? Also what type of paint is used to limewash the concrete and what type of concrete is used st the very end of the video where the tub is worked on?
The kitchen Countertops have a wooden base with mesh but The tables were made with a form using rebar so it has no base. The paint is lime wash we created ourselves over local lime plaster not concrete, you should never use concrete on stone walls for houses. The tub is rendered with with lime on the outside and concrete on the interior and sealed with a liquid membrane on the interior.
That rain! I was wondering how your drainage performed
It was so much water!!! All parts were great except one, which we want to now place a French drain near. Otherwise all were really great thank goodness 😊
"Assolato " is the name of your home. In the rain it is still Assolato.
Wouldn’t a marbelite coating from a swimming pool supplier be better than the temporary rubber coating?
Probably.
Oh no your dog bed got wet
curious… how’s your Italian?… or are you fluent…
Martins is very good, I’m struggling with learning to speak but I can understand a lot 😌
I don't understand why you haven't activated automatic translation. Not everyone speaks native English. Thanks Luca
We have we don’t know why it’s not working, sorry! Others have mentioned it but we can’t seem to fix it 😞
There is a history of RUclips auto translate not working. There are those that have reported it working and the a few minutes then not working. Others are finding supposed fixes that have been posted as being definitive solutions work for some but more often not at all for others.
