Why would anyone suggest to have a German pronounciation on the word "Leopard"?! As a German, sometimes it's funny to here some German words pronounced differently, but "Leopard" is a English and German word. =) Greetings from Germany
Tried a game of this yesterday, first time I'd seen it come up. Started with a eastern block 11HE rocket plane and sneaking recon around and have to admit I think I was a gigantic pain in the ass.
Would you say tactical is easier for newer players since they have less units to worry about or more difficult since losing a single unit is more punishing? Also, don't worry about the Dutch pronounciation of the word leopard. We generally incorporate a lot of English words into our language so if a word is typed the same in Dutch it probably is just an English word we use.
I'd say that tactical is different, not per se easier. If you mess up in tactical then you have to wait for ages to get a new unit. There is definitely less management of large groups of forces, I'll give you that.
Yeah, you have to watch out for that server. I was there when the server owner purposely tried to swing things even more in favor of Redfor by nerfing it down to 200 points starting points (perfect for a T-80UK command super heavy and not enough points for Bluefor to afford a counter to it.) I think the owner just forgot about it after that because it has been the same way ever since.
200 points is more than enough for a longbow/a10 or more. Also people make the mistake of 1v1'ing these super heavies at their front. try get atgms or weaker tanks to its flanks and it can easily take it down with side shots
200 starting points is not enough. It means you have to buy a CV (-100 points) and are only left with 100 points to spend. This was exactly the case in this match.
What stealth said is the point I was trying to make. Plus Mud Fight is such a small map that it is fairly difficult to get the angles for side shots. Not impossible, but very difficult when only working with 100 or less points and a "very low" income. Plus ATGMs are notoriously inaccurate and most affordable blue ATGMs (even despite being "70%" for a Tow 2) and are so slow that the tank can just drive up and fire position on the ATGM location to either kill or panic it before the ATGM hits. There are cheaper helicopter ATGM carriers like the Fennec Tow 2, but a single manpad hit will kill it and likely not even get spotted. Even if there weren't AA there, the UK can take two TOW 2 missiles to its front armor (3.5 damage each hit), likely having enough time to get into a treeline before the third hits and then it just waits for repairs from a cheap supply truck while the Fennec would likely be out of action just as long if there is no fob. Plus that's not taking into account that there is often 3 or more in the matches I've done on this specific server. The reason this is a problem is because the t-80UK is essentially a superheavy you get for only 100 points since it also doubles as a CV. The closest that Bluefor has is the leo 2 command, STRV 103B command, and the Abrams command, which are essentially medium tank stats and they don't come nearly as close to being as efficient points wise. Plus people often forget the UK can fire its missile on the move with its SA tag rather than being the standard guided missile so it can even hit a target while it's moving to cover. I'm not saying it's impossible to do, but I am saying it is much more difficult to deal with compared to the standard 300 starting points where you do have 200 points besides a CV to play with. Stealth was lucky he didn't come up against a player or two who had one in this match.
Would anyone care to explain me whats the difference from a normal 10v10 to a tactical one? i know my way around the units of the game, but i only played the campaings and offline skirmishes, and i'm looking foward to join mp, but at least with some knowledge.
In tactical games, the income is severely reduced to the point where you can only field a few units the entire match. Hence the name tactical as you have to be very focused on the units that you do have.
its a ranked.. rank. Playing these public games doesnt change the your ranked..rank haha. most of these privates wont have played ranked, they used to not show them if they hadnt played enough games, but i believe it was changed recently to show regardless
That Sparky guy, what a great player... Wish I could be more like him ;)
There can be only one...
He really deserves his own channel. Just imagine that voice commenting on Wargame tournaments!
+Stealth17 Gaming absolutely, I'd be famous the world over then... You are keeping me from becoming a star Stealth haha
Loved the cinematic style of this slower pace game. Keep up the great content!
Thanks! Will do

Sometimes you dont get a lot of points from kills but still contribute a lot to the game.
Direct fire = Enfilade fire, indirect fire = Defilade fire
Great match! Was like a real tank battle
that tacticalness

+Stealth17 Gaming it seems I misinterpreted the above, I took it as a cv as well as a superheavy, ie 300 starting points :)

Stealth, what are your favourite units for tactical? Love the videos.
Blue: Leopard 2A5, Otomatic, Nana Yon Shiki G
Red: T-80UM, BMPT, Lstr, BMP3, BTR-90, Spetznaz GRU
how much (little) is the income in these super tactical games?
Frost is a private? or it's not him, just another guy with the same name?
Love the tactical video's ! One question : where does HE stand for?
High Explosive
HE stand for High Explosion. great for killing inf
HE stands for High Explosive (Damage).
In Wargame the HE value will be used against Infantry and Helos and for indirect fire.
Venator ah okay thanks !
HE stands for Huge Erection.

Thanks, my dear friend.
Question, why does the playerlist show you as Pvt? I thought you'd be much higher then that.
its a ranked.. rank. Playing these public games doesnt change the your ranked..rank haha. most of these privates wont have played ranked, they used to not show them if they hadnt played enough games, but i believe it was changed recently to show regardless
As +Leroy said: I don't play ranked battles, just public matches. That's why I never built up a rank.
