I was considering making a Scandinavian Armour deck when lo and behold, a Stealth17 video appears! Originally I was wanting to make a Scandinavian Mechanised deck due to the variety of pretty vicious infantry, but was stumped by the removal of the Strv 121 as an option due to the latest update. Armour was my second choice. Personally I would keep the IKV 105 over the 1A3DK. What you sacrifice in armour is more than made up for in AP and amphibious flexibility. Sometimes having the ability to cross a river instead of contesting a bridgehead is immensely valuable. And even if it fails, well, it's only 35 points. One thing the final version of this deck lacks is IR AA against helicopters. All your gun based AA is radar guided, which is fine if you play it smart against SEAD. The 7 stingers in the infantry tab can provide some cover, but it leaves you cold when advancing with an armoured column and a SEAD plane presages a cluster bomber. I think it still might work if you bring some with you in transports, but it's an additional bit of micro as opposed to simply halting an RBS90 technical.
What I love most about Scandinavian armoured decks is if the game took place just 3 years later, they'd all have Leopard 2's and 2A5's and it'd be the most broken armour deck in the game. But no. We get S Tanks, which are amazing tanks IRL, but only really do one thing well, which is to fight in Sweden and Finland. Also didn't S Tanks used to be amphibious in RD?
It was. There was a lot of preparation involved, but it could swim. Pics included. ointres.se/strv103b-7web.jpg 4.bp.blogspot.com/-71KjEgiEUwE/U_4OD53zC5I/AAAAAAAAHtE/rP4HZGcljVU/s1600/IMG_2647.JPG
That line of "fighting well in Sweden and Finland" explains the inferiority of the frontal armour, Sweden's military was meant for defence, sitting in a bush and waiting for the T-72's to roll down the road. Off topic now but one of the major reasons their equipment was (relatively) simple was for the fact their military was a conscript force.
Im not sure if you need 4 cards of planes in 10v10 deck, especially if you have that many planes in navy. Usually 1 or 2 players go full air force anyway.
It has high AP but not too many bombs. I'd say that the US Ardvaark I prolly the most effective bomber able to take out even superheavies if you're lucky enough.
StrikeFromTheSkies Viggen also can. You dont even need to be very lucky since the dispersion is very good. And the best top armor is 4. So the 10 AP are a big difference to the 6 AP of the American
Yeah the M72 LAW is the basically the worst anti-tank weapon in the game. Even the M47 (?) Dragon isn't much better. The only saving grace is that the Rangers have a Carl Gustav.
No F16AM from the Norwegians/Dannes? (Forgot which country is) Best air superiority fighter. EDIT: Only now i have seen the rest of the video, my bad. Still think the Viggen is needed just by the 10 AP cluster.

I personally enjoy the 102R as a good meat unit. And, for an armored deck, an elite card will have 80% accuracy. They are really slow though...
Did you ever do a 10v10 with this deck?

I don't remember S-Tanks being amphibious.

I was talking about in the game, but I didn't know this anyway.

The STRV 122 is pretty similar to a Leopard 2A5/2A6, isn't it ? So it's not that meant for defense ?

You need the Viggen. Because it is the Viggen.
It is armed with Thor's Hammer.
It has 10 AP. By far the most effective clusterbombs in the game.

And there is nothing cooler than drop Thors Hammer onto your enemy. :D

Thank you Stealth. I will give a spin ASAP. / Trajanus

I cant use the deck code because i dont have the dutch forces?
Probably not that. Make sure you don't have any dashes (-) in your deckcode when its copied over to Wargame from your browser.
Tack så mycket från sverige! :D
Varsågod från Sverige ;) / Trajanus
