    German tanks? Check
    Speed? Check
    Enemy with a heavy infantry based and near static battle plan? Check
    If the pocketed enemy was squashed with some mechanized infantry I would say this was a prime example of blitzkrieg.

    I should feel piety for the REDFOR team but after see that much arty...I say job well done.

  • @AStatine11
    @AStatine11 7 лет назад +133

    Redfor over invested in arty. So this tactic was easier to pull off. I don't think it is as cheesy as a helo rush. A few well placed atgms and a cluster bomber can ruin this push quite effectively. Having theorized this, I would love to see someone actually defend against it effectively.

    • @jakobeng1303
      @jakobeng1303 7 лет назад +2

      I have to admit, I love that you don't just theorise but also have the wish to see someone do it :D

    • @jakobeng1303

      I don't think ATGMS would have stopped this. At least not without the tanks actually stopping!

    • @AStatine11
      @AStatine11 7 лет назад +1

      jakob a bunch of atgms from the town in the side armor would definitely have helped... But ya, would not have been enough on their own

    • @jakobeng1303
      @jakobeng1303 7 лет назад +2

      I'm not sure whether they would helped this much because although ATGM are nice to annoy the enemy, they can't halt an armoured push like this one. Sure, they might have damaged some tanks but I doubt this would have changed the outcome

    • @andrewp8284
      @andrewp8284 7 лет назад +3

      AStatine11 - think I agree with everything you said...the helo rush seems like the ultimate cheese so this certainly isn't as cheesy. And this time it actually worked. I saw a replay Stealth covered where bluefor tried an armored rush at the end of a game but it failed.

  • @ongjunhong
    @ongjunhong 7 лет назад +16

    A well-executed push. REDFOR tried a pretty solid push at the end, which would've worked considering that BLUFOR spawn is protected by just a pair of helos and a Fuchs.
    But the timer just had to run out, costing REDFOR their revenge.
    "We would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for the pesky clock!"

    • @antred11
      @antred11 7 лет назад +7

      "REDFOR tried a pretty solid push at the end"
      What the heck was solid about that push? It was a few roughed up survivors with no hopes of any reinforcements coming up. Not saying they had much of a choice at that point, but that "push" was never going to amount to anything, even if the timer hadn't run out.

    • @ongjunhong
      @ongjunhong 7 лет назад +1

      You're right. I was wrong to think that REDFOR's last push could be considered 'solid', since, as you said, they didn't have much in the way of options otherwise.
      Even if they had eliminated all the units in BLUFOR spawn within the time limit, they still wouldn't make up for the point difference.

    Whatever the enemy least expects will work the best...some famous general or other. I've seen some comments that this is "cheesy", but not at all. The point in war is not to have a "fair fight", but to win. This was a grand way to bypass the enemy strong point and attack their rear, thus crippling them. Perfect.

  • @caxopog
    @caxopog 7 лет назад +12

    It've worked because Redfor invest in arty, not tanks. 2 superheavies + some atgms could stop this column (especially with flanking shots), but redfor have no AT at all.

    • @ineednochannelyoutube5384
      @ineednochannelyoutube5384 7 лет назад

      Nope. That was a superheavy and some 14 mediums backed with a pair of gepards and gunships. The best you can expect to achieve without totally commiting is force them into a front.

      the German beat the superior french forces during the battle of France because they guess correctly the defense and tactics the french were using during the war and beat them with effective strategy any attack or defense can be overcome if you understand where how and when your enemy will strike or defend but that is the hardest part of any war knowing what your enemy will do and hiding what you are doing

    • @ineednochannelyoutube5384
      @ineednochannelyoutube5384 7 лет назад +3

      +William S It couldnt have been countered easily though. Thing with chees isnit either immedietly wins you the game, or it immedietlynmakes you lose. A proper play would have seen some atgm trucks or tanks defend the road supported by recon and AA. If the tank column hit such a defense it would be forced to spread out and establish another front, but so long as it doesnt keep bunched up and has a few SPAAGs, they wont just be outright wiped out, like a helorush running into aa, or artyspam being reached by anything. I wouldnt call this chesse, just a textbook armoured breakthrough.

    Is it possible to deploy a force that can counter this tank column, but that can also fight in case you decide to go for the town? Doing what the enemy doesn't expect is more luck than skill since you possibly cannot know each other's compositions until the game starts.

    If you not expecting a column of armor rushing down the high way, your defense line becomes useless !

    Blitzkrieg; that is how Germany invaded France in WWII !

    • @ahmadsherbeny5609
      @ahmadsherbeny5609 7 лет назад +3

      I get the soviet tactics regarding the town, the two REDFOR players prolly had a mind bridge, but the EUROCORPS blitzkrieg just kept pushing and pushing without red putting atleast a superheavy and maybe 3 FSTs or Fire Support Tanks like for say 1 T80UM, T72BU, or a T90 and then 3 mediums like some of those T55, and if points wont help just a bunch of ATGM inf REDFOR has no shortage of

    I find this analyze flaud. The reason the red lost is not ecause they deployed too many units in the city at all. Its because they deployed buttload of arty that failed to do anything since blue rushed. Its like paper rock scissors game .. in the longer game the arty would benefit more but who could have predicted that?
