- Lance is one of my most played weapons and with the additions in Sunbreak, I will play it more now. Sorry for not using Constitution or Stamina Surge. I forgot.

I'm so happy lance is great in sunbreak and it's nice to see great lance runs. I'm sure all of us were concerned at first.
Yes. I was very disappointed watching the Lance Trailer but after playing it, it feels amazing.

Awesome run! I was getting the vibe that only silkbind spam was viable in Sunbreak from the runs I’ve been seeing, really encouraging to see you do this well with primarily counters and jabs!
Cross slash is one of lances highest damaging moves so to me it makes more sense to loop that when you aren't spiral thrusting and anchorraging
@@zacharyhansen8250 while it does make sense, it kinda feels lame to spam parry on a lance. I’m here for guards, poked, and counters, not for Longsword gameplay
@@gamecavalier3230 on paper they’re pretty similar, cross slash just feels different than guard counter because of how you enter each move. Like I won’t shit on anyone for using it, just cross slash feels... almost too agile for lance?

Edit : I'm surprised there's no chip damage on the shield hop with no guard ? Is it specific to the moves blocked or just the move ?

Yes. I know that I needed 2 Shield Dash attacks to get a KO so I did one after the Riding and waited for the next power up so I can hit the arms before I get the KO.
Amazing, Scorner Magnamalo in under 4 Minutes is trully amazing. Awesome Run! Lance is really strong!

Amazing run. There’s a lot of guard moves on lance and it’s hard to use all of them without slowing down your thinking or stick to just one or two.

Relationship ended with Shield Tackle, going back to Guard Dash and the leaping thrust.
This was great to watch. I recently switched to Lance in Sunbreak. Ip layed base Rise with Greatsword and tried LS and SnS (which I mained in World/IB) but I tried Lance for the first time for real and fell in Love with it. I want to replay older Monster Hunter games aswell with Lance. I also love the idea of a Lance/Shield Knight against Dragons (monsters) ^^ Even though I probably never be on your level it was great to see the potential that I as Lance player have. Also it's just fun to block the shit out of monsters ^^ Keep them speed runs coming

Amazing run! Btw, what caused that 1565 damage topple at 3:11?
The Dog hit the arms with the Minigun and toppled it. I have to say, I got very lucky in this run. Para right after the KO, didn't get hit by the tail slam after the riding and an extra KO at the very end from Shock Tripper so I can safely set up the trap.

I've been using Switch Axe and Light Bowgun but Lance recently made it way into my radar because it just does so much damage now like it's insane

how you dont receive any chip damage when doing regular guard from magna ttack? or instaguard just fully nullifies the damage?

Insta-Block has build in Guard 5 and Guard Up 3. That's why I don't use Guard as armor skill at all. Guard Dash also has build in Guard so if you are good enough, you don't need Guard at all.

i might be stupid but i wanted to ask how do you do that hop poke which does 3 times dmg? because i seemm to only access it through the power guard and than attacking but you seem to be able to do it of any dodge ? is that because of a switchskill ?
You can do it after Guard Dash. It's the Switch Skill to Shield Tackle. In the run, I use Guard Dash to go backwards, Lunging Thrust to get close and Wide Sweep for the big Damage. That way I don't lose my position and still keep my damage up. Also, Lunging Thrust got buffed and now deals more Elemental Damage than before.

so one thing im wondering, is there any reason you stick to blue scroll despite red scroll increasing element with deriliction? is for the KO damage?
The Attack Bonus from Dereliction and KO increase. The Element increase in comparison to that is way lower.

How do you get the black outline on the damage numbers to appear thinner? I've always wondered how to change it because I think the normal ones look eh
I honestly don't know. I think it's because I play in 21:9.

What block/counter is that at 3:10? Looks like a counter as well that did 1500 dmg.
That didn't happen because I blocked. That was the Hellfire topple caused by one of my buddies. Apparently they dealt enough damage to trigger it.

I miss the amount of impact lance's attacks had in MHW
let's assume some bad rng was to happen , or a bug of some sort , and ONE stun missed , resulting in him doing a 2/3/4 chain attack , more than once. that would have make you cart ? that's the problem i'm having with lance and sns honestly. can't fully tank nor fully counter chain attacks , leading me to a cart.

I don't. At the very beginning I switch to Blue. You can see it before I travel.

You can become good at lance relativly quickly, but to become great at lance, now that is a lifegoal
