You’re an amazing teacher. Not a lot people have that skill. Thanks for the info!
Thank you for your kind words, Mia! Thanks so much for watching my videos!
Great form building tutorial. But, how do you aggregate the data? If it is a survey, reports will need to be created from what is collected.
Excellent video. I was looking for something more complex than using the form button in the tabs at top, but less complex than VBA. Your video demonstrates the usage of many different component of Excel. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks Shawn! I'm glad you found this helpful. Thanks for watching my videos!

very helpful. Do you have a video that includes a "submit" button that will record the form data to a table?
What a great video, one of the best tutorial videos iIve ever watched, such a good, unrushed, step by step explanation. Thank you.
Thank you Dominic! That is very nice of you. I'm so glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching!
Hello. Is it possible to send the form to many people and then to collect all the inputs in one excel file? That would be very helpful to know. Thank you!
Thank you for an amazing, video. It was amazing, well-presented and informative!
Thank you Chaya! I'm so glad you found my videos helpful. Thanks so much for watching!
@Sharon, this is fantastic. I do have a question though. I created a form using Microsoft Forms, I love the branching capability. However, I don't like a lot of the issues with compiling results and my process after receiving them. Is there a way to have multiple lines populate based on the drop down answer? So if the drop down is A, B, or C and they choose "C", can 3 different Yes/No or Text answer questions populate?
Sharon, this is great! I was trying to create a fax template to pull up existing data of contacts and you are the answer! Appreciate your educational videos! :D
that's a cool document to have.
This is very insightful.....thank you Sharon

Hi Willa! So glad you found this video helpful. Be sure to check out the video I posted today: ruclips.net/video/oHxzDnCQlx4/видео.html it builds on this and shows you how to set up a drop-down list in Excel that allows users to make multiple selections. Thanks for leaving a comment!

Thank you so much for your kind feedback! I'm so glad you like my videos. Thanks for watching!
Sharon, the information and presentation are Amazing! I started into a project and you answered MANY of my questions in this one video, and it just happened to be the first source I found. I do have a question on how to disseminate the form to at team an then retrieve the form ideally via submit button that sends form/file to admin with time stamp). Is this possible utilizing a Microsoft 360 account? It would be great to give users unlimited access to the blank forms, then once its submitted have the finished form locked, but accessible to the user and the administrator.
That was crystal clear.
Thanks a lot. I really enjoyed it and I did put it to practice.
That is great news! So glad you found this video helpful. Thanks for watching!

@@sayanamsler2884 Hi, nothing has been misunderstood. This was such a helpful video. My point was that I have sat through many long and tedious tutorials that went around in circles and made everything somewhat confusing. Sharons video was lots of quick great tips that have really helped. I issued a project form yesterday because of this! Fantastic :)

Hi Sharon, is it possible to transfer the data collected from the excel into a spreadsheet? if so, how is it done? many thanks.
Hello I love your tutorials, it's very intuitive and informative. I have a question to ask.
I have created a form using Microsoft Word but is there a way to upload the fillable form into my wordpress website so that customers can fill out
Great content, Sharon! Thank you so much!

Oh, thank you very much! So glad you found my videos helpful. Thanks for watching!
Good video. Once the form has been completed and submitted, is there a way to download or collect the results automatically so that you don't have to manually update a spreadsheet.
Thank you for ALL your videos, they have helped me so much. I have gone through all your tutorials for word but I do need to know how to make a auto fillable cell in excel, where the more you write in the cell or cells it auto expands. Is this possible and how?
:)
Your post caught my attention !
Furthermore, thank you for taking the time to contribute your knowledge and experience with this collection of helpful "Excel" form-building tips.

Thank you so much!! I'm so glad you found my post and that this video has inspired you. I wish you luck with your forms! Thanks for watching!!
This video was so clear and well done, and I'm excited about the possibilities. I was wondering, however, how a user would submit the form and whether it's possible to compile the submissions into a spreadsheet. I see other users have asked similar questions below, but I don't see an answer.
I can't see why you couldn't compile the results into a tab on the same spreadsheet, like having a summary sheet as the top of the tab list. But I'd like to hear from more of an expert as well. I'm not one.
You’re a very talented teacher
very clear helpful Sharon you simplify excel .....thank you !

"Shawn Spencer - Communications" LOL! Love all the Psych callbacks. You didn't give poor Lassie a title. :D
I was looking for a form to input data into a spreadsheet for later data analysis. In the case of your employee engagement survey, you'd want to record the responses. For my needs, I want to build a db for my beehives. Inspection date, queen present Y/N, Honey yield, that sort of thing. Something that can easily be manipulated with a tablet out in the apiary.
your instructions were very easy to understand. As a result, i completed an evaluation form. Thanks.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Sharon, it's helpful

Can the number of characters in a content control box be limited? If so how? Thank you!!!
Very good. Just one question, on the VLookup, would it not be easier to click on the "my table has headers"? Sorry if this question has already been asked (and answered).
Thank you for this! Exactly what I’ve been looking for. Can this excel form be made into FORMS and be accessed on my iPhone? I can’t bring computers into my meetings, but would like to collect data on my iPhone while I’m in a meeting.
Sharon, you are just an amazing cool and precise teacher. Keep it up! Please, how can forms like this be embedded into other softwares outside excel

Hi Sharon - great job! Is there a way to link the answers from the created form, so they autopopulate in a table format in another sheet or workbook?
I don't think it's possible without using VBA
@@michel.7048 can we do the same with VBA?
Using VBA in Microsoft forms response sheet is not possible, coz response report is an excel online platform.

Loved this one the best. Quick questions: Is there a reason we use 360 instead of 365 days in a year?
Highly appreciated!
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your valuable contribution. The drawback of this form-like worksheet is that the user is free to move the cursor anywhere, and even protecting it doesn't entirely prevent mischief.

This is very helpful - thank you. I would have used a radio button instead of a checkbox however, to avoid multiple selections.
Great tip, Sherry! Yes, if you want to avoid users selecting more than one checkbox, then radio buttons are the way to go. Thanks for watching!
Excellent presentation, very educational.
Thank you, Patrick! So glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching!
Hi. A really good video, thank you. I wonder if you can help with one issue though? I am setting up a shared excel sheet for my team to input data from presentations they have given. I have built the form. I cannot see how they submit the data on the form to the sheet? I cannot see how I monitor the sheet. I am hoping that they can just open the excel link, see a fresh form, complete it and then submit it to the database for me to review. I appreciate I could do this with Forms but I prefer the Excel entry sheet as I need fairly long drop down lists for them to choose from and this is not compatible with the Forms choice question.
This is great. Thank you !
You are very welcome, Linda! Thanks for watching my videos! I appreciate it!
@@SharonSmith Hi,
Do you have a course on how to make auto-populated data in PDF and JavaScript for PDF?
Will definitely follow the course
You are an excellent teacher! Thank you!
Watching your video, has given me an 💡 idea.
How would this form be created and provide individual totals, # of days between two dates.
It never occurred to me i could even do this until i saw your video.
I hope to hear from you!
Thanks. Great tutorial.
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
Hi thanks you for you very helpful videos, i had no experience in excel or word prior to watching you.
what I'm trying to do is create fillable forms in excel that can be put into Microsoft Teams to be filled out and then submitted back to a data base or PFD format, as basically i needs forms/checklist templates for each different job.. the forms will be mostly the same for each job, its all for traceability of each job. usually this will be done with paper forms but in the workshop paper tends to get dirty burnt or ripped. and its a lot of extra handling. any advice will be greatly appreciated. ps they need to be idiot proof and not complicated to fill in.
Outstanding lecture!
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
This is great! What happens if the user adds comments to a field that exceeds the layout of the page? Will another populate with the same formatting?
