    Djokovic improved to 27-0 in grand slam matches after that match. Sadly, it was an emotionally and physically draining match and that prevented him from completing the 28-0 calendar slam.

      @VladaBB To be honest, Medvedev was too close to win 2 Australian open titles. But against nadal I believe he missed that 40-0 on nadal's serve and gave him a cheap break at the third set. Also, against sinner, it is more that Medvedev won himself in the previous rounds than sinner winning him. You have to recognize that 3 out of 5 grand slam finals Medvedev lost were 5 setters, so he certainly deserves admiration and I believe he can win more grand slams in the future with better service games.

    What's more special for me was the way he worked his way to the finals in this tournament, it seemed like he would get eliminated any game but that's typical djokovic losing 1st sets and then making his way back in the match and the moment he beat berretini i knew he would win this slam too, unfortunate for us but medevedev truely was better player and deserved it

    18:56 Djokovic used this serve against Zverev many times this match, to great efficacy. In the final Djokovic used the same serve against Medvedev, but Medvedev was much more consistent in returning it. Also, Medvedev used the same out-wide serve against Novak, which was a killer shot every time and won him many points.

    • @thelegendbatez4544
      @thelegendbatez4544 3 года назад +2

      Djokovic may very well be the goat but in my opinion he’s never gonna win a slam ever again. Medvedev’s win in the final & Zverev’s win at the Olympics has done wonders for the next gen & their confidence. We’ll see that in the future for sure. Djokovic can’t escape a tough draw, from the quarters he’ll always face a tough guy that could take him to atleast 4 sets very possibly 5. Semis are always gonna be an incredibly tough match up, guys like Thiem, Tsitsipas, Rafa are gonna drain Novak physically and mentally. Zverev or Medvedev will await in the final. Point is it’s 7-8 men vs Djokovic and at 35 next year, Djokovic physically won’t be able to handle 3-4 4+ hour matches in one tournament, for which he’ll burnout in one of the matches. It practically takes more than one man to beat Djokovic in a grand slam in this form. Medvedev has to thank Zverev & Berrettini for taking Djokovic’s legs

      @@thelegendbatez4544 Nole will finish his career with 24+ majors (Grass 2 + HC 2). Nadal will have +2 more majors in RG, so he'll end up with 22+ and Fed should start his new coach career cuz I cant see him win another GS title at his age, and with the current/next gen fully set and hungry for more in 2022.

    i hope the people see that more accurate this time after the us open final, when i says everytime that novak biggest opponent is the weather/daysession matches in the heat, like by the us open final 2021....Of course tthis is a part of tennis andd this shouldnt be sound like a execuse BUT i only describe it in more detail.... That what night session matches is for novak, that is clay matches for nadal. and that what daysession matches are for novak, that is grasscourt tennis for nadal.... Of course mdvedew was amazing, but this happeng novak not for the first time that he lost a daysession match in grandslam...i even think that zverev would also have better chance against novak in a daysession match like in the final instead in a night ssession match like in the semi final

Not only this disturbs the players but it disturbs the audience and it gives the US Open a sad name. Like "everythig goes, we are just a bunch of hillbillies here" Such a pity, such a pity.
