This was a really fun idea. I probably wouldn't rip my card though lol maybe another penalty option 😅 but 3 our of 4 not bad. Not bad. This might be a fun idea for a race too. Two of you open a pack, the other decides which shiny you hunt out of the pack, first to 5 wins. Might do this with my brother lol
Card ripping is awful, give away the card instead. Why waste the card? At least someone else gets to enjoy it and the penalty is still realistic as the ripper wouldn't have the card still.
Favorite part has to be the ending when John ends catching one of his favorite Pokemon and ending the video with a Shiny Swinub after barely 2 minutes of hunting. It's like, here I am to save you my friend.

Following up a 5 hour hunt with a minute and a half long hunt (and it being a favorite of John's too) was such a cool way to end! Got some great pulls too along the way too!

My favorite part was when the first “shinies that don’t count” was caught. I thought that there was no way John would catch more than 2-3 that didn’t count but it’s very obvious now that he is cursed by Arceus to suffer

My personal favorite part is the utter joy at finding a shiny male combee. That is something I have never seen before.
Additionally, the "shines that don't count" counter was very relatable, because I have found so many shines that I didn't want or like.
My favourite is when you got Greninja because I LOVE Greninja
tbh i like most shiny's machoke but it was the 2nd shiny that i found 1st shiny i got machamp is one of muy faves bc it was the 1st shiny i ever got (pokemon quest belive it or not) but 1 up qwagsire i have my dream shiny now (kirlia Y E Y) don't ask how but i have found 9 shinys but 8 caught with no shiny charm (i have less than 60 hrs)
My first and only shiny in that game is a shiny male comebee and I have Arceus
seeing John react to catching the shinies that don't count are probably my favorite parts of the video. the different reactions like the cherrim and the parasect are really interesting (and the fact he got 19 shinies that didn't count is crazy)

20:03 my first full odds shiny EVER was a shiny yanma in legends Arceus and named him Jerry. I was fly around after finding a lost satchel and saw one of the wisps. I went down to get it, but before I could I heard a shiny noise. I turned around quickly to see the Pokémon and BOOM, shiny yanma.
My favorite part was him getting all the frogs before he finally gets a shiny voltorb.
I think my heart ripped right along with those cards (couldve given away the ones youve failed?) But my fave part of the video for the QOTD is the end when you found the swinub so quickly, really was the perfect ending since you wanted it to be over and had been wanting to hunt for him the entire time. Also congrats on the awesome cards you pulled that you did get to keep!
I completely agree with the fact that he could have just given away any he failed. It felt very disappointing and wasteful to see the card ripped.

I will say, my favorite part of the video is how many shinies John caught that weren’t the ones he needed, both from mass mass outbreaks and random encounters
Out of all the favorite parts I could think of, I think the one part that I would fave the most was at 12:50. The fact that he chose to keep opening packs and look for shiny Pokemon after ripping up the cards (very heart-breaking moment in my opinion and I probably would have ended the video and cried myself to bed) shows how determined/committed he is to the video/content. Great video, congrats on the shiny Pokemon and cards you opened up!
Also as a side note, if you subscribe to PM7, watch, and like his videos, you WILL find shiny Pokemon GUARANTEED because just as I subscribed while watching this video, I managed to find a shiny Machoke AND a Shiny Alpha Machamp!
