+Ramsoos would it be cool if there is a mod that prevent usage of alien plasma weapons? instead the xcom can only use lasers and conventional. because that would be more interesting.
+Kakashi Mugen - I modded the game myself to prevent using Plasma weapons or the 3rd tier armor. To make up for this, I buffed the normal weapons and lasers by 1+ damage. It was still hell to try and kill a Sectopod with conventional weapons.
@@kakashi0909 In OG X-COM this was a valid strategy, and sectopods specifically were vulnerable to it. It's also a callback to Laser Squad, the progenitor of sorts for X-COM.
The folks who made XCOM did such an amazing job. It really stops feeling like a game after awhile, especially on Ironman. Every moment in this game you can feel the impending doom of the planet, and seeing your soldiers go down in battle really reinforces the anger and the fear of the unknown. XCOM isn't a game, it really is an experience, because you don't just give up and start over, you live with your mistakes and oversights.
I first heard this ost when I converged on a landed large scout UFO. I was rushed by 2 Mutons, 6 thin men and 3 sectoids. This theme and that battle will always be treasured in my heart. Hey...Atleast I wasn't rushed by Chryssalids, as soon as I confirm the existence of a chryssalid in the mission I'm doing, I panic, Big time. I heard this OST in the battle after that mission, in Mexico. The bar map. As soon as I opened the room that had the last 2 floaters in it, this theme played. I killed the last floater and then stayed on the "mission end" screen whilst this theme was playing for about 20 minutes. I'm glad that you uploaded this.
"We all moved slowly, cover to cover, converging on the crash site. We knew they were here, so did they. I...changed, that day. I was trained to kill or capture X-rays, but I could not bring myself to hate them like our Captain, [REDACTED] did. That was before. Before Rourke opened the ship door, before those [REDACTED] Stormed out, eating most of my unit alive. We all do what we can, but fighting hatred, fear, is a much bigger thing than I thought it would be. - Lieutenant Chambers, X-com.
It's always the best feeling in the world when you get this combat song while you have to face the most dangerous enemies on the battlefield, especially the sectopod. This just gives you a boost of motivation and focus to the game!
I love this song, but especially the little encouraging tune that starts at 00:42, it has that defiant tone that just makes me want to yell "GET OFF MY FUCKING PLANET".
Revenger 210 "That's a load of bull!" I think I remember that it once happened that one of my Snipers once missed... with a 90~98% chance to hit, & I'm pretty sure I heard her say that. Speaking of which, I wished that they'd say that every time they miss an enemy with at least 80~85%
DJOwenNetwork + someone with mimetic skin and a ghost armor to scope out the field without the aliens noticing = Aliens die very quickly without even knowing what hit them.
rembers me when i for the first time played the mission with crysalids in the zombie infested fishing-town ( with the Whale) . LoL almost all of my taem got slaughtered, there where some fine man and woman among them ....snif TT.
lol yeah, that's what happens 1st time around for sure :P but after a few playthroughs you can set up yourself with laser weapons or better armor in one and a half months and be prepared for the first terror mission. It's nearly impossible with Marathon active though, unless you sacrifice 1/3rd of the world to them alien scum.
First Playthrough on Enemy Within and this mission popped up, it was hard to keep my squad alive but they survived it (I have a tendency to value each squad member's life and when this mission popped up I had a squad composed half colonels and half majors.) Bit of advice, in EW, if you don't have enough lasers, Reaper Rounds are your next best friend.
When this mission popped up in my first EW playthrough I had two mechs and laser weapons ready, hue! Positioned 1 mech and 2 guys up and 1 mech and 2 guys down. By the time they popped outta the whale it wasn't a battle... it was a cryssalid massacre :D Classic diff with Ironman on *shows off*
i had 3 MEC's, 1 Sniper with a chance of 115 to hit a target and dobble tapp, a medic and an Assault. 2 MEC's had flamethrowers and 1 a kinetic fist. everyone had laser weapons. 5 units guarded the area
+S0L1nv1ctus - That mission is probably the most memorable for all first-timers. I know it was for me because I lost three guys. Both soldiers who went into the ship never made it out and a third fell during the escape phase. In my second playthrough, I was prepared and brought two beefed up Squad-Sight Snipers that picked apart the Chrysallids from range. The snipers also laid cover fire during the escape and it was smooth sailing. This game is great in teaching you from your mistakes.
"They are flanking us" -- "its shooting in my way" -- "help help!" -- "you two cover me" -- lets go move! Move! Move!" -- "golden down" -- "nice shoot" -- oh ssht they got reinforcement!" -- "eat this mother ffk" -- "3 down, one to go" -- "dawm I miss" -- "I got it... Die!"
I always imagined this as the theme for when XCOM finally levels the technological playing field against the Aliens.
+Ramsoos would it be cool if there is a mod that prevent usage of alien plasma weapons? instead the xcom can only use lasers and conventional. because that would be more interesting.
+Kakashi Mugen Or You could just do It yourself...

0:45 = goosebumps
This actually gave me goosebumps immediately. What kind of black magic is this?

Pain is a valuable teacher.
No game has ever made feel a new emotion than xcom did to me
Absolute cinematic experience
Or you turn back the clock as many times as it takes until you make it.

THE ULTIMATE XCOM EXPERIENCE

When you encounter 4 groups of 3
Sectopod, drone, drone (x2)
Mectoid, alpha sectoid, sectoid
Ethereal, heavy Goliath, heavy Goliath
Squad; FUCK
You meant Sectoid commander, mectoid, Ethereals and Muton Elites
That's rude, what mission was it ?

0:00 CONTACT!
Keep coming back. What a gem. [FAST] mob running [SLOW] sniper aim, fire, kill, slide bolt, eject casing [FAST] another mob, repeat (with perk)
This is my most favorite of all the combat tracks. The part at 0:42 just does it for me.

But seriously, I'd have to say this is by far my favourite track from unknown.
Best combat track from Enemy Unknown that sticks with me
I don't remember XCOM 2 music being this memorable
I think the TLP soundtrack is the most memorable honestly but this is pretty good
One dislike?
Poor sectoid ...
Looks like that Sectoid just got joined by a Thin Man who wandered into Overwatch and didn't get lucky.
2 dislakes
2 poor Sectoids
The 2nd one was a shotgunner whit 99% against a 2 hp chryssalid like button.
Irrelevant NonFilms i know its been a year since you last posted here but i did have the vid on dislike cus i missed the like button
And now there is a berserker I killed with my squadsight sniper that was in mid air with a crit
this one was my favorite of the fight songs.
I love this song, but especially the little encouraging tune that starts at 00:42, it has that defiant tone that just makes me want to yell "GET OFF MY FUCKING PLANET".
Enemy Unknown? More like Enemy gotpwned
Luke Fletcher More like Enemy Gotp-HOW DID IT MISS?!
Revenger 210 You have a point there.
Revenger 210 "That's a load of bull!"

Luke Fletcher Enemy IS MOVING TO FLANK ME!
WATCH THE FLANKS!
[ALIEN BLAST]
WE LOST ONE!
*Load Game*
+Christian López Correction:
"...
[ALIEN BLAST]
*Heavy breathing* WE NEED AN EMERGENCY EVAC!
[MURDERS TEAMMATE]
Loads game"
This song + Squadsight + In The Zone = A lot of dead aliens
DJOwenNetwork + someone with mimetic skin and a ghost armor to scope out the field without the aliens noticing = Aliens die very quickly without even knowing what hit them.
You say that like my entire squad doesn't have either mimetic skin or ghost armor.
+DJOwenNetwork good stuff
My sniper is always my main guy.
I shamelessly reload if he dies.
The rest are expendable.
Am I the only one who starts hearing the Meld sounds at some point?
That music, all the time when I am on Overwatch and down to the few last aliens.
One of the few reboots that most of the original fans seem to be happy with...
Yes. Oh god yes ! Thx for that.
the sum of epicness, crisis, tension and heroism are inspirational to us men
When you do 4 gun'n'run in a turn this hits harder.
Love these videos! Thank you! :D
When I have just enough actions to clean up the current active enemies.
the 6 dislike are from people who were aiming at the like button with 95% chance to hit but miss
Hahahaha
99% chance to hit
*Missed*
its funny when that happens lmao!
I’ve raged quit Xcode more than twice because it kept happening over and over and I’d lose my best dudes.
@WiseEndro332 Or 1% chance to hit (full cover, smoke grenade [all def bonus])
CRITICAL HIT
Drives me insane.
WiseEndro333 Aka XCom 2.
God, i absolutely love the guitar in this one
Because it's awesome! Even as a non-original fan, I can see why the original would have held interest. This updated rerelease is pretty awesome.
random fact- this one's named after Xcom's Unit Slogan-
"Vigilo Confido"- Ever Vigilant
Best one (from Chosen Assassin Combat) to Soundtracks Restoration Mod from XCOM 2
5:26
Best one IMO
sounds fucking heroic
fucking sectopods

The official theme of "oh fuck".
So damn catchy.
Best one
he must be having some quality time with chrysalises......
Col. Burton is bleeding out and rest of my team is KIA...
Okay... let's Clutch this mofo! *Cue Beat Drop*
this is unofficial OST? i swear i heard this at some part in the game
It just plays randomly during combat
"They are flanking us" -- "its shooting in my way" -- "help help!" -- "you two cover me" -- lets go move! Move! Move!" -- "golden down" -- "nice shoot" -- oh ssht they got reinforcement!" -- "eat this mother ffk" -- "3 down, one to go" -- "dawm I miss" -- "I got it... Die!"
AGREED!
Sectopod theme
Enemy got missed at 98%
As a thin man this offends me.
*Col. Zahara Buthelezi would like to have a word with you*
That kinda sounds like in the Resident Evil movies haha :D
1.25x speed is a mile better than normal.
Really :D ?)
