    Your challenge is such a great idea!!!! Some times I don’t draw daily because “I don’t have time” but I’m sure I can get 16 min every day to practice my sketching. Im starting the challenge now

    Hey man what brush are you using on procreate?

    I liked the 1 minute sketch the best because it was all "organic." I like to see the artist in the drawing, in my opinion help tools kind of take away from that. Then again, I draw mainly for fun and I mostly draw cartoons...I don't design items. Therefore my perspective on what you are doing may be a bit off. Anyway, I enjoyed the video and I liked your presentation.

      Thank you! I like the 1 minute version for the same reasons as well. Sketching fast is great to get as many ideas on paper as possible

    Thanks for sharing this! So interesting to see your thoughts and process. Where do you stand drawing straight lines and ellipses freehand and turning off the brush stabilisation? It know requires a lot of skill to draw nice curves that way but I guess the more you challenge yourself the better you get. I have seen super talented designers drawing very nice lines completely freehand, but that must take years of practice. I often get put off when my lines are out of position or not smooth and I either don't sketch as much or use the drawing assist - so my skill doesn't improve either way. Any advice on that? Thanks

    The real question is whether you were able to draw a happy little kettle, and I'd say so.

    Hi Sam! I'm having a hard time with the Selection Tool in Sketchbook on my Ipad. If I use the lasso tool to select an area, how to I actually re position my selection? I cant free drag and drop the whole image as there are various elements on different layers, and I have issues when I merge layers - especially with overlay textures etc.. Please help man 👍

    • @SamDoesDesign
      @SamDoesDesign  5 лет назад

      Layers become tricky with blend modes like that! I would suggest duplicating the document to keep all your layers safe, and then merge layers in chunks, leaving the blend mode layers until last if possible. Then you’ll have less to move!

    • @kylethomson8145

      @@SamDoesDesign Awesome thanks man. Yeah I have been battling a little with blend modes and keeping specific items on their own layers. Loving the Portfolio crits by the way... busy reworking my portfolio, so it has been really useful

    Hay mate .. how do you make the lines straight ? I see than when you make likes they are a little bit off and then they end up becoming clean lines
