    Why is everybody making a big deal about Dak and his contract, he's still on the team, he's gonna get paid for this year, so what if they are not rushing to give him an extension, I wonder how many teams would rush to give a QB a new deal when this same QB has been here for 8 years and also has 2 playoff wins, its crazy to me how other teams have moved on from QB's some even better than Dak but yet fans think Dallas should stick with him.

      I think a lot of people are afraid of the unknown and would rather make a fringe top 10 QB the highest paid player in NFL history.

    • @MrTdollarsign
      @MrTdollarsign 20 дней назад +2

      @@jluu6r Funny thing is it was a lot of unknown when Dallas decided to roll with Dak over Romo back in 2016, they have to eventually take a chance at some point with somebody else, none of this would be a issue if Dak showed up and played better in the playoffs.

    • @jluu6r
      @jluu6r 20 дней назад +2

      @@MrTdollarsign Yes It's true, Dak was an unknown back in 2016 but they were forced to give him a shot because Romo and Kellen Moore got injured. Sooner or later they will have to take a chance on someone else. I think Dak deserves an extension, I just dont think he should be resetting the market. If he is dead set on reseting the market then he should do it elsewhere. History has shown us that paying elite money to non elite players, especially QB's, doesnt equal success for the team.

      @@jluu6r I think after 8 years the front office is weighing that option of moving on from Dak, I can't fault them for not rushing this contract extension and if Dak is smart he shouldn't either, because lets say he has another good season stat wise, he could get another big contract but its possible it won't be from Dallas, my thing is I wish fans would stop acting like it would be the end of the world if they moved on from Dak, he is not gonna play forever

    I suspect the issue is the number of years not the actual apy.
    Prescott is almost certainly trying to maximize his dollars and therefore he wants another big payday down the road. Thus he is probably only asking for 3 years so he can have another payday while he was still 33.
    The problem with this is NFL teams manipulate the cap mostly through contract length and a 3-year extension will make it impossible for the Cowboys to compete especially considering how much dead money they have against the cap with Dak Prescott's name on it on it

    Outside of beating up on the patsies in the NFC Least, over the last three seasons Dak has a losing record against teams with winning records and in the playoffs. He's not that good!

    He got paid. He then went 1-3 in the playoffs with 5 interceptions and a 3.57% interception rate in the 3 losses

    The answer with Dak is clear, they don't think he's good enough to lead this team to a Championship.....and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result....Paying Dak elite money when he's a bus driver quarterback is a recipe for disaster...

    • @MrTdollarsign

      I don't see the logic of paying a QB who has 2 playoffs wins in 8 years another big contract, while also having a WR that's gonna command a big contract with also a DE that gonna want a big contract too & the Jones are not wrong for not rushing a extension for Dak
