- Join us for a much-needed day off from the £1 yacht restoration project! Today, we're taking out our beloved Aquastar 38 Ocean Star for her first run of the season after sitting on her mooring for the past 7 months. With our life jackets on, my wife, two close friends, and I set sail from the marina, eager to remove the cobwebs and feel the wind in our hair.
As we cruise down the river, enjoying the serene surroundings, we unexpectedly bump into Matt from Emerald Star, who happens to be out on his own yacht for the same reason. It's a delightful coincidence that adds an extra layer of joy to our adventure.

Where were you guys? As seeing three Fisher 25 /30 & I’ve just bought one & I’m doing it up, on top I’m disabled wheels on land & the boat on the water. I have CRPS in my right leg, so the left leg is alright. Keep up the great videos very helpful & enjoyable. 🎉

There seems a good group of Fisher owners is out there, giving advice etc. Thank you too, I’m looking forward to getting her on the water, it’s that lure that keeps pushing us on. Do you know what the airdraft is for your Aquastar 38 (to top of windscreen)? I believe about 3.3m - considering whether to purchase one for inland waterways of France.
I can measure it for you but I know that my boat has been on the French canals to the Med as the radar arch drops and the windscreen on my Aquastar also drops flat by removing a pin each side of the screen, but I think your right with 3.3m and the bit extra you will get by folding the screen if needed, great boat with excellent sea keeping and also good for low speeds on the inland waterways
@@BoatzUK many thanks for the reply. If you get a chance be very interested - there's routes down which 3.5 would be max, others 3.1m (canal de Borgougne tunnel etc). Another question - does the furniture lift to give top access to the port engine?
@@iancv1 on my boat I get full access to the port engine and starboard as all the furniture can be moved and each floor section comes out separately, still a pain for easy access but great if you know that servicing needs to be done, I will be at the boat tomorrow so will get the tape out when I am there and send you my findings, have you found a Aquastar 38 that your interested in yet? As if your not to far away your more than welcome to have a good look around mine to see if there the boat for you

Thank you, yes not the cheapest form of boating but I do love to get her out as it feels worth it after every trip, boating season is now here so looking forward to plenty more trips this year but the £1 yacht is currently my priority ⛵️⛵️⛵️🛥️🛥️🙏
Wondered what your plan is with that sunk yacht? Keeping it or something interesting to film & sell etc ..
My plan is to give it away to a worthy cause when complete or sell and donate all proceeds to the RNLI. that was my intentions when she is ready ⛵️⛵️
