Fuckinell, is that a corpse/zombie @12:00?
Getting though your videos thats 11 watched so far today better than the telly lol cheers simon 🎉🎉
Nice to see this is a well researched item, there are only 2 piers, well the last time i checked there are 3 in blackpool.
I filmed this after a night out....my research was minimal and the heat impaired my thought process 🤣
Honest review... I'll walk around and moan, make assumptions and sample nowt! Blackpool is as many have said a love it or hate it place... your reviews have the desired affect for you ie make people follow but have to be honest opinions are like arseholes we all have one however mate yours seems disingenuous to gain followers in my opinion.. speed walking around somewhere and chatting shite! Least you will get ya steps in!!
Cheers, did do afew steps so don't feel guilty about having afew beers
Blackpool is full of Tories despite being rundown and deprived!
You’re giving Karl Pilkington a run for his money! Great video 😁
2nd person to say that and i still dunno if that is a good thing or bad 🤣
@@honestplaces it's a good thing danny lol
@@EpicDogs If you wanna pay for my travels around the world and put me up in grim hotels i'll be down for that!
First time i've ever heard the tower called an "eye sore". It's a beautiful feature of the town and the history behind it is fascinating.
Up close it is abit dated and hasn't been kept up to any standard. Saying that those the eiffel town up close is the same. I think that gets a free pass as it's in Paris surrounded by history and not a seaside town.
The price to go up is shocking though, it's a family resort and alot of families that go there are working class so the price kind of annoys me
I was up the Blackpool Tower a few weeks ago. They've done a great job with the glass floor etc, quite freaky standing on it lol
@@EFC1878NI how much was it pal?
£16 each. They were doing deals like you could go to the ballroom tower and dungeon for 25 or something around that. It's expensive tbh.
@@EFC1878NI I'd like it if you could walk up the tower. That would be make it worth it abit. Suppose £16 aint too bad to be fair. I'd deffo just do the tower
I love Blackpool had happy memories as a child going there mostly on a Days out will always try too go once a year for a weekend Break we need too Sir-port the British-see side resorts
Yeh if you don't live to far it's worth the trip for a day. I wouldn't travel there if i lived over a 2 hour drive away. Deffo not with current fuel prices 🤣
I've lived here over 40 years and seen the town slowly loose its appeal , gone are the Nightclubs and Bars of the 90's and Early 2000's that brought in people from all.over the UK filling the B&B's etc which are mostly now flats and sheltered accommodation. It's a shame but it was bound to happen the way the town has been run over the last 20 years....
Yeh it had been a thing for years. Not just lockdown which most people say it is down to. The downfall has been over decades as you say.
When i was a lad the Fish landed in Fleetwood and most of it came from around Iceland until we had the Cod wars. By seven am fresh fish could be in Church/Oswaldtwistle ready for filleting. Then all the Mills closed so Burnley, Oldham, Rochdale, Accrington etc coming for a week came to an end, as communities got destroyed.
Interesting read.
@@honestplaces Over a 100 years ago my Grandfather would put his wife and nine kids on the train in Rochdale on a Friday night heading for Fleetwood, which was cheaper than Blackpool to stay in. He'd work Saturday morning in the Foundry then set off on his bicycle to Fleetwood, and then sneak into his wife's room until early morning. He'd meet them on the beach after breakfast in his suit with a hanky on his head, then at lunchtime he'd set off for home on his bicycle, giving himself a peacefull Sunday before work on Monday. It would be a fair poke on todays bicycles and roads, but your own effort is cheap.
@@spex357 Proper stories! Nice read that.
I’m in blackpool now I personally love it
It's like marmite 🤣
@@honestplaces 🤣
Blackpool is fantastic there's someone for everyone! Your always going to get a moaner though
I get that. I do state how i see why people come. It's like everywhere, People love London some people hate it.
@@honestplaces i love Catford
I thought id watched all your videos but obviously not. 12 minuite in the smack head laid out on the floor is shocking
Living anywhere near the centre is probably not for most people with all its problems, but go eastwards out of the town, housing is reasonably priced and decent areas as well.
I’m from Croydon. Been in Blackpool since ‘99. People of Blackpool have been good to me. Lived on Central Drive for years.
The reason people got to Blackpool in Britain it's like going on holiday abroad having fun I'm really hoping to go there for my 18th birthday I always went as a kid but when covid came we couldn't go and have fun like I used too there
If you're going dor your 18th and going to be having beers you'll love it! You view on it changes as you get older.
@@honestplaces yea maybe
i r3ad blackpool attracts homeless people who come to end their lives in places that were happy places from their childhoods.
Never heard that. Sounds like it could make a good Film Script
I live just up the road in Bispham.
I used to live in a hotel on the seafront. You would of walked past it on this.
It's a dump Blackpool tbh.
I loved it as a kid.
Bispham looks a nice area
it's ok without kids for a walkabout then to hit the bars but i can only cope with blackpool for a day and one night the last two hotels i stayed in were shitholes ower lass went mad but they were cheap and you get for what you pay for to sum blackpool up it's like watching a good film traler but the film was shit , but i keep going back lol , Enjoyed the video danny 🙂
ahahaha yeh man my hotels always been grim, but like you said they cheap and you're there for a laugh and beers anyway. Some people go there for like a week! 😦
Skegness is worse than Blackpool
Soon going there to do a vid. Excited for it 🤣
@@honestplaces we always have to ask if visitors if they took a wrong turn to end up at Skegness. There are much nicer places to visit on the east coast such as Sutton on Sea
@@DiscoStu999 i like the grim places 🤣
Comments like that are pointless when Skegness, along with Newquay, is notable as the small seaside town that has massive tourism.
Your (Ginger) beard doesn't look bad,now you're ready to visit some Irish or Scottish city.
🤣🤣
I love Blackpool, especially when we drive past on our way to the lake district
Lake District is ace. It is a typical Bristish thing to love a place like Blackpool and i do see why so many do.
Always said if you or your children go to Blackpool and can't have a great time it says more about you and your children than it does Blackpool.
You missed the Brooks collectibles toy museum. Top reason to go to Blackpool. Otherwise it's a not the best place to visit. Prefer Scarborough.
You're joking! I'm a fan of places like that....better than alot od the usual tourist stuff. Scarborough is alot nicer yeh.
@@honestplaces yep I have a tour of it on my channel. The winter gardens is a nice place to look around too.
@@BlueHToys it got to hot today to do much else 🤣 Would of liked to leave with a classic toy than a blackpool fridge magnet
@@honestplaces Blackpool is kinda the Toy capital tbh. I had to do 2 videos as there were so many places to visits toy wise.
Needs to be more of then and less candy shops!
Still 1,000s of people going to blackpool every year , where dose all the money go to ,more investment needed like many parts of England
Getting though your videos thats 11 watched so far today better than the telly lol cheers simon 🎉🎉
There's a few decent pubs/bars in Blackpool if you ever do stay for a night or two, there's the Ardwick which is a back street bar, probably one of the best places too and cheap as chips for a pint, the Old Bridge is good for a pint too
Ma Kelly's is quality too lol
Yeh i've been Arkwick i think. Blackpool is an ace night out. Feels quite safe also
Fun fact: The 'sandcastle waterpark' is the biggest indoor waterpark in England
It's a fact. Wouldn't say it's fun though 🤣 suppose it is a kids place though
@@honestplaces depends whether it's your thing or not. Personally, I think it's better than pleasure beach but people have different opinions and I respect that.
@@kdvlogs06 True. All depends on family life too init i suppose!
I have just discovered your channel. I am an Aussie who has never been to the UK but am fascinated by it. This place reminds me of a place we had in my city in the 80's called Magic mountain. It was a bit tacky but was a fun place to hang out for a few hours. Love your vids👍
Yeh that is a good description. It is fun but you can't go there all the time or for too long. Love Aus,make sure i go quite abit
I've never been motivated for Madam Tussauds, but people do these things amongst others because they want to feel their time with things such as that as with the likes of you and I, we dont just wake up, brush teeth, eat breakfast go to school/college/work and then come home eat, shower and go to bed. As for spyglass, it's a bar from my understanding. You do get to see the pennines if you look away from the seafront
Seems you're like me 🤣 didn't know you could see that far to be fair. But most days are cloudy in the uk so need a rare day to be in luck
Just watched first time .Can you come to stoke on trent ?
To make a review of Stoke or grab a coffee with you? 🤣
GOD "" PLEASE NOT. DEAD ' NOW BURRY 😂
I went 2 weeks ago always loved Blackpool but that's the most rundown I've seen it the front was ok but the next street in all the way from tower to pleasure beach was 85% closed down seen a woman pissing and shiting down side of a walk way
Hi Danny, have you ever been to Widnes ?, its a dump ! try there.
Nah....don't live too far so will check that out!
U don't know why hotels are closed... Do me a favour.. Did you sleep through the pandemic... Ffs...
What pandemic?

Yeh i think you're good to move there. I mean it's what people want from it. I know people who love it and do live there. I think it's on par with saftey of most typical towns.

Havent been to Blackpool since 2013 but my mum goes with her mates every year (shes in her 60s) which they enjoy . I remember a waitress in a hotel we stayed in around 2008 saying that the town was a disgrace and she was trying to move back to Bolton or somewhere due to the drugs ruining the city . Its a shame to see how rundown it is now . I remember Ross Kemp done a seaside programme about a decade ago . My wee mum still enjoys it as they go through a coach promotion thing and has events on every day Mon-Friday for them
Sound dead happy you mate

views of Blackpool tower are great - see lancs hills, snowdonia, lake district
What a dump it is now...
I used to come here with my parents and sister it was class then...
Great atmosphere and holiday makers dressed up for the holiday occasion...my God look at the way folk dress down in tacky clothing.
Think the rocky horror show that's about right when describing present day Blackpool which actually is a black-pool or swamp ...
Its cheap, tacky, a scam, degenerate hotels...
See trustpilot or TripAdvisor on hotel reviews...last time we came her approx 1 year ago we did a U turn immediately ...
Horrible memory I'm trying to forget..
So much history in that tower, to call it scaffolding is pretty ignorant of its history
They have neglected it
Why do you need a beer if you’re going swimming🤷♂️
Always need a beer
Hahaha. Good one. Blackpool: a turd wrapped in silver paper sprinkled in dubious glitter 😂
That is one way to put it 🤣
going to review it know place think ya better off haveing holldays not uk lol
So Tory.
I was there for just a couple days & shocked by the lack of decent eating places?? All we could find was chip shops everywhere & they were rotten nothing like the chippies on Scotland 🙈🙁
Yeh there is a lack of variety. All pind shops, gift shops and as you say chip shops. No they aren't like Whitby, Cornwall fish shops. Haven't had a chippy in Scotland
There's some very good places to eat in Blackpool but there all up in the North end of the town.... In the seafront tourist areas it will be all junk food. ... I've had Thai/greek/Chinese/Indian/Italian all in Blackpool and it was great.
American coming to Manchester in April for a week. Should I bother going to blackpool for day or 2 or is there enough to do in Manchester and other surrounding towns?
I'm a Scot and visit Blackpool at some point every year. Depends what you're looking for. For us it's the pleasure beach, some great rides for all ages. Blackpool has a very good zoo, also Stanley park and model village all in close proximity. There's a sea life centre, Madame Tussauds which have to admit is a bit outdated but ok for a laugh. There's also the tower, amazing views on a good day. An indoor swim park, tram ride to Fleetwood. I can easy fill a week in Blackpool but can't say the same about Manchester. We do the other way round, stay in Blackpool and visit Manchester for the day. 😀
If you're coming for 1 week i personally wouldn't visit Blackpool. If you are looking for a day away or 2 The Lake District is only and extra hour in the car and is surrounded by mountains and treks that are beautiful.
Blackpool is a british thing, it's like we have come to accept it as our own place to go, although it isn't the best of places we for some reason like it. But if you are coming from the US there are far better things to do with you limited time
1 night is 1 to many
Even just for a night out? 😦
@@honestplaces I could do with 1 night....they built the m55 to escape quicker
@@bigmuller1 Still hungover from the night before throwing up on the M55 as you race away 🤣
