Low key would love all that. I'm really hoping the modding community can make some really cool stuff when it finally gets full modding support
@@Pilps honestly yeah, I’d love to see a system of having the regions as game modifiers.
More central regions being relatively safer, but having events like “his majesty wants half of your sheep yesterday, the taxman’s coming, pucker up” or “decide what side you are on in a war of succession, if you pick neutral both sides will raid you”
If you’re on the marches or borders, you have less direct tyranny and taxes, but there’s always that danger of a roving band of horsemen or slavs wiping your village out as an afterthought before it can get on its feet.
In all honesty a whole civil war aspect would be such a cool idea.

This game is honestly really neat from what I’ve seen. I’d love to see devs utilize the mechanics of Manor Lords in different settings, like maybe like the Waring States period in Japan.
Would be interesting! I don't know if the dev himself is interested or planning that, but. I could definitely see that being amazing if the modding community got full mod support!
Desperately want him to finish this game first before it becomes abandonware (banished anyone?)
I would love to see feudal japan and all but honestly we need more medieval games and this one is so close to scratching that itch. Aside from KCD, CK3, and now this I feel like we're in a drought as most if not all the others are subpar. And as cool as manor lords is, imo it is still lacking in a ton of aspects. It needs so much more to be considered complete imo.
The thing is there is no "devs" there is only one guy working on this game so that is definitely not going to happen anytime soon

Fun fact: work on this game has been going on since 2017, or at least that's when Slavic Magic started planning what type of game it would be. Why so long? Because the game was made by one person and it turned out quite well.

@@Pilps and i don't know about the "au" suffix, but the first part of your first settlement "zwei" is German for "two".
Au is a short form of the older German word Aue. Nowadays it's called a "Feuchtwiese", which translates into "wet meadow". It is a popular suffix for German villages/towns founded near rivers. Zweiau could literally mean “Between two rivers”.

I've been playing manor lords for a while and my main gripe(s) is that:
1) When you take a province, the amount of bodies to bury is too high. My populace abandoned it before I could stabilize. and there's no way to just place a new homeless shelter to restart.
2) The AI doesn't really do anything to build up any of the provinces and their armies just kind of appear at the edges of the map.
I get it, its early access, and there's only 1 guy developing the game. I just hope those things get fixed because I'm really enjoying it.
Yup im probably not going to play again for a while until huge improvements and hopefully modding support!
other ai lords will be added later im pretty sure slavic couldnt make it as an early access feature because it needed to be worked on

I came back to my old save file from when the game released, and had completely forgotten that I named my village, "Wahlberg."
Yo no one talks about apples but they are OP if you make large burger plots, big early investment but with enough your peasants will have an apple a day 😎

Eichenhau is probably pronounced like Eichenau (Aye-ken-ow). A real city in Bavaria which I swear I remember for having a concentration camp in it during the Second World War, but apparently it didn't. I don't know why else I'd find the name familiar.

No i didn't use mocap suit for this, this was all edited with blender and mixamo! I'm still saving up for a motion capture suit with my own money from youtube and patreon!
I found it really fun but when I played it was pretty broken. invisible bandits stealing from me, unbreakable camps and I was stuck at like 6 units of militia even with the mercs. Might give er a go again if the newer version beat those kinks out.

So we have millions of homeless, and the corporations and government response is "hmm...build more luxury condo's in the Bay Area"

its just a shame the enemy doesn't have their own castles and villages to lay siege to. I image that would be hard for the devs to set up but it would add so much to the game.

I suppose the idea of needing micro-management is to make sure the player earns as much as he feels like it, one main metropolis vs outside villages funneling stuff in. Altough giving it to an AI administrative vassal should be possible gameplay imho, and expand on it with full fledges vassals where they can do w/e they want and pay you (possibly fking shit up) or just admin vassals that attempt to maintain living conditions or something.

There's a nice game I've been playing recently called Norland, it's like Rimworld, but medieval and more strategic, I think it'll catch your interest since you seem to like: War, Strategy and Medieval.
