In this personal narrative documentary, filmmaker Roxana Walker-Canton connects the present political and economic struggles to a long history of African American protest against racial discrimination and disenfranchisement. One Town At A Time documents progressive democrats in a New England town upending years of moderate democratic governance to address a history of racial and gender inequity, economic injustice, disenfranchisement, and white privilege in local town politics.
