Bravo. You handled a fairly stressful situation very well. I've practiced coming in under sail a couple of times, but I always had the mental assurance that the engine would start with a push of a button. Hope I can handle it as well as you did if the real thing happens. :-)
I was glad to have Nigel aboard and that the wind died down so much. We determined our options and took it one step at a time. I've often wanted to practice docking under sail but have been too chicken. Necessity is the greatest motivator! : )

I am thinking of getting a boat this year or next, never sailed before or anything but just looks really interesting.
