Pohang is underrated city in South Korea, it's known for seafood especially king crabs and beautiful coastal sceneries. Pohang has solid local economy through Posco and one of the best university POSTECH. I had a chance to see their football club Pohang Steelers games, team with the most AFC Champions League titles. Cost of living is also much lower than Seoul, especially apartment rentals. I miss Pohang!
So you're going to Jeju next month? Don't forget to try their famous black pork especially a popular restaurant called "Donsadon", apparently many Korean celebrities went there since you could see their pictures posted with the owner. The place is always packed and there's always wait time but worth the wait. The meal was a bit pricy, but the taste and pork quality was the best I've ever had. Famous American youtuber named Strictly Dumpling from Nyc went there and vlogged. Also, don't forget to show us tiny gem of a island UDO while in Jeju, it takes about 20 minutes ferry ride.....a must visit while in Jeju.

The opening scene is breathtakingly beautiful. I could see myself visiting a place like that; it seemed so peaceful. And the mall with everything would be a great change of pace. Do you film everything (w/ bf's help), or does someone travel with you from the Korean tourism bureau (whatever they call it)? The camera panning is so smooth, and it is kind of cool to see you and your boyfriend walking from a distance.

Hi Adrienne :) Please visit Yeongju if you can! It's extremely underrated and has a UNESCO world heritage site, Buseoksa (a temple). My study abroad program took us there for orientation. Yeongju also has a Conficianist school that famous historical figures attended called the Seonbi (virtuous scholar), and a great museum. You can also sleep there :) Also, I recommend going to Sokcho too, my friend took me on a family trip there. We rode from Anyang, but if you can drive there I 100% recommend it. It was a part of North Korea until the Armistice agreement. You should visit it both in the summer and winter and stay at the famous jjimjilbang there. Stay safe and press on. We love you :)

How do you find the smaller places in Korea for being able to speak English?
For example, if you were to visit these areas without your boyfriend, how do you feel like you'd get on with things?
I'm asking because neither my fiancé or I even speak basic Korean but would like to visit one day and obviously, we would try to learn things like hello and thank you and other "typical" travel related Korean but the idea of going to non-cities is kind of intimidating (especially with the different alphabet etc) thank you if you do answer 😄 love seeing your experiences ☺
