Thank you sooooo much for this recipe. Tried it out last night and they came out Perfectly for our climate in JHB South Africa in Winter. You made my job Alot easier and am Super Chuffed with the outcome :)
Great catch! These ones I didn’t, but it depends how wet they are. If the batch comes out super wet then I’ll let them dry for a few hours first. Mainly because I’m impatient lol!
You can simply melt down shea butter or cocoa butter! The shea smell does not come through, however if you use cocoa butter, use the deodorized version or you’ll get a hint of chocolate smell 😁
super cool, BUT i have a question, with the colors what is the ending color in the tub? does the red cancel out the black and u get a red tub, or is it kinda messy looking in the tub?
The last time I made these and tested one, the red still overpowered the black because the red lake has way more of a color punch than black mica. Turned out a darker/bright red. You can definitely add more red 40 lake to this too, I am usually a bit conservative with it.
@@desertbathcompany gotcha, something i always am paying attention to. i made some super cool colorful bombs once or twice, but whew when the colors all morphed together it wasnt so pretty anymore. LOL
The bath water color is totally an important factor! I made some red & green layered Christmas bath bombs last year... only to realize they made brown water! Never making that mistake again lol!
@@desertbathcompany i feel your pain. LOL we have all done this. you know i know u r going to be crazy successful cuz you found something that makes you special. you do whatever u need to do to make yours look the best. and its ok that they are priced accordingly. time is money. they are stunning. and so much fun!
These are adorable, job well done.
Thank you so much!!! 🥰

I just noticed, so you don't wait until your bath bombs dry before you paint these?
