I am still trying to understand these negative comments. I make bath bombs for a living and outside of the food coloring issue this was a great tutorial. Keep up the amazing work.
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I'm making some for Christmas and have never made them before. This is so simple and your tutorial covers all the bases! Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
Just started my own beauty and self care line and definitely adding bath bombs to my list and they’re no hassle! Thank you! Love the gold one such a smart idea mama🔥💯❤️🤙☺️☺️
Great idea using the Christmas decoration for a mould I would never have thought of that I love the lavender bath bomb. You have inspired me to make my own. Thanks for sharing.
Do you by any chance have a larger recipe? I'd love to try it, but a lot of work/mess/effort for just one ball, would like to know how to double or even tripple the recipe to make a good few at once. TIA
Yes! These ingredients will give you around one 8cm bath bomb. Depending on your mixture, sometimes you end up with some left, but pop those into a ice cube tray and you get lil baby bath bombs 😊
I got mine from Amazon (link in description box, but if you are from the US, Kneipp is a bit more expensive over there)! But depending on where you live, you can get them at affordable beauty stores. In the US, Marshall's might have a few nice ones! As long as it is a bath oil (not a gel or similar, it has to be oil), it works perfectly! Hope that helps 😁
I looked in amazon but they didn't have the colored ones. I'll have to check the n Marshall's. It's funny, today I was coloring a bath bomb with shimmer eye shadow and I though it won't look good. Then I saw your video. Lol 😍 Thanks! Btw I had to edit this because spell check, really messed up what I wanted to say. lol I hate spell check sometimes. Lol
Btw, so sorry, I thought I had links in the description box 😂 I added them now, those are the ones I used. It's a different box, but the inside oils are exactly the same! But if you have a Marshall's nearby, definitely recommend looking there! And thank you so much ❤️
I tried it once with those bath gels you can use for tons of bubbles, and unfortunately it didn’t work. I noticed that water was pretty high in the ingredient list, so I think that’s the reason. Bath bombs react with even small amounts of water like crazy! 😞
That’s actually really interesting! To get the moisture you need, you could use witch hazel or rubbing alcohol, so it won’t affect the smell of the lush wash cards!
I have never tried olive oil, but considering it works with almond oil, it would have to work with olive oil. With coconut it works 100% 😊 I use bath oil because it has already everything: fragrance/essential oils, base oil and color 😋
I wouldn't substitute the bath oil for essential oil, since too much essential oil can actually be irritating for the skin. But, that said, if you don't have bath oils, you can mix for example coconut oil (or almond oil, or similar) with some drops of essential oil, for that lovely smell! Bath oil was more of an alternative to not having to use a carrier oil + an essential oil 😁
Well, I live on an Portuguese island, where nobody really sells stuff like mica. If I would order it, it would cost me way too much, for something I can use this golden eyeshadow. That's why!
shianne810 Exactly! That was what I was trying to explain 😁 a 2:1 ratio is the basic one, 2:1.5 (? is that correct, we don't really use ratios over here 🙈) would be the 75% one, it's a bit more intense!
omg... don't pack it. 80 % of your bombs will break. Made a lot of recipes, i think this one is kind of good, but just don't pack it. Fill both sides put a little more on the top and then just gently push both sides together. And don't spin ornament or mold in different sides while you are puting sides together. Good luck
No Problem 🙂 Based on the recipe I use in the Video, it's 1/2 of Baking Soda, and 1/4 or 1/3 of a cup of Citric Acid (I like to go for a bit more fizz, so I used a bit more than 1/3)!
Hm...maybe it depends on the food coloring? 🤔 I have heard that too, but after using it multiple times, it never stained my bathtub or my sink. I even mentioned that last year in a video I made: ruclips.net/video/n0uTmlWM1_s/видео.htmlm28s
Citric acid is way stronger tho..It is concentrated powder.. I cant imagine it fizzing to well if you use juice..The citric acid can be bought online for only $3.50 per 1 pound bag at Brambleberry (dot com)..You only need maybe 1/2 cup per batch so it should make a few batches!..or get 2 bags for $7 so you can make a TON...They sell 10 lb bags for $22.00... relax guys
The amount of Citric Acid we are working with does not require a mask. A mask would only be needed in case of an excessive air contamination, which is not the case here (mentioned on the packaging and I checked online). If any precaution, then it would be being careful not getting it into our eyes. But I think nobody likes Lemon juice in their eyes, so we are aware of keeping it away 😅

Thank you so much 💖
You don’t use corn starch?
Most legit “3 ingredient” I’ve seen 😇 definitely planning to try it out!

thanks by the way for taking the time to show us how you do this!
Great idea using the Christmas decoration for a mould I would never have thought of that I love the lavender bath bomb. You have inspired me to make my own. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for this awesome video, I'm definitely going to try this 😊
could you break the shadow up and include it into the mix before molding it?
Yes, mix it with rubbing alcohol so it will disperse in your mix.
This is so easy..thanks for sharing this video. Just subscribed
Amazing I was going to make a bath bomb and followed ur three ingredients it really was very easy and cheap
Excellent video looking forward to seeing more. Thank you.
Excellent video. Thank you for showing us this simple, but successful bath bomb recipe ❤️

Lily Rose thank you so much it worked❤️❤️❤️❤️ new subscriber❤️
Do you by any chance have a larger recipe? I'd love to try it, but a lot of work/mess/effort for just one ball, would like to know how to double or even tripple the recipe to make a good few at once. TIA
I love them all, great job sharing
Thank you!!!

How much cornstarch?
Bravo!! You also have beautiful hands. 👍🏼🌹
Ohh, thank you so much 😊
Love this! Thank's for teaching me.
You're so sweet! Thank you for the heart. ; )
New subscriber.
How much cornstarch do you put in?
In my case I actually never used cornstarch, but I would add about 50g of it to the mix (more or less depending on your needs) 😀
Do you get 1 bath bomb from each batch? As in 1 bath bomb when u use 100g bicarbonate
50-75g citric acid
And the bath oil?
Yes! These ingredients will give you around one 8cm bath bomb. Depending on your mixture, sometimes you end up with some left, but pop those into a ice cube tray and you get lil baby bath bombs 😊
@@DIYwithLily What is bath oil?
Thanks so much! Where can I find these bath oils? please and tia.

Great video Lily!
Thank you!
I download this video and thank you.
What about using shower gel?
I tried it once with those bath gels you can use for tons of bubbles, and unfortunately it didn’t work. I noticed that water was pretty high in the ingredient list, so I think that’s the reason. Bath bombs react with even small amounts of water like crazy! 😞
@@DIYwithLily I didn't even think about the water! Thank you
I was think of using lush wash cards... Ground up
That’s actually really interesting! To get the moisture you need, you could use witch hazel or rubbing alcohol, so it won’t affect the smell of the lush wash cards!
@@DIYwithLily thank you!!
the gold was soooo pretty :D
Thank youuu!
Gold Wes my favorite
This looks so fun !! Xx
It really is! Both making and using them 😄
Can we use olive or coconut oil instead of a bath oil?
I have never tried olive oil, but considering it works with almond oil, it would have to work with olive oil. With coconut it works 100% 😊 I use bath oil because it has already everything: fragrance/essential oils, base oil and color 😋
Olive oil and coconut oil works but I used vegetable oil😂😂😂
Can you use essential oils instead of bath oils?
I wouldn't substitute the bath oil for essential oil, since too much essential oil can actually be irritating for the skin. That's a lot of work getting it gold, when all you would need is a shimmer gold mica as colorant. This is a little odd. But kudos for trying
Well, I live on an Portuguese island, where nobody really sells stuff like mica. If I would order it, it would cost me way too much, for something I can use this golden eyeshadow. That's why!
I think it was very creative of you to create the gold colouring with eye shadow. Good idea! :)
ACS402010 Thank you :D
Could you just apply the eyeshadow to the inside of the mold before packing it?
Where do you get the Bath oils?
I order mine always off amazon 😀
why have I never thought about using these body oils from Kneipp? I see them everytime I get myself a new bathlotion! Awesome Idea! ;)
100gms baking Soda
50-75 gms citric acid
Bath oil of your choice
To help anyone it’s basical 2 parts baking soda to 1 part citric acid
There's no set rules that has to be 2:1 ratio. The more citric the faster the movement, the less, slower
shianne810 Exactly! That was what I was trying to explain 😁 a 2:1 ratio is the basic one, 2:1.5 (? is that correct, we don't really use ratios over here 🙈) would be the 75% one, it's a bit more intense!
The list recipe?also make bathbubble?
This one makes some bubbles because of the bath oil that on it’s own makes bubbles 😀
@@DIYwithLily can i add bath bubble liquid to the recipe to make more bubbles?
where can i buy the keiko gold eye shadow??????????
It's from their own Kiko stores. They have stores around the globe, you can check it out on their website: kikocosmetics.com 😊
JE ENN you could also just buy a gold pigment from amazon they are cheap😊
Yey i have all
How do you make the spotted ones
+Gypsy-mumma Shanna Im not sure which spotted ones you mean 🤔 Do you have an example image?
I mean the ones with just spots on the outside
How much is 100g in cups/ml/oz.?
+fortitu cognitio It's not exact, but it would be about 1 cup 😁
More more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
with baling soda but I'm sorry us wrong
Cornstarch and or corn flour is a big no for me.
It can actually be skipped and I normally don’t use it in any of my bath bombs. But since it is part of the typical recipe, I always mention it 😊

As I said in the Video, that's just if the mixture gets too dry 😄
Grams?
+Kailee Gilbride Yes, sorry, what is the problem? 😊
Lily Rose Could you tell me the measurements in cups? If not it's fine ☺
No Problem 🙂 Based on the recipe I use in the Video, it's 1/2 of Baking Soda, and 1/4 or 1/3 of a cup of Citric Acid (I like to go for a bit more fizz, so I used a bit more than 1/3)!

never use food coloring if you arent giving it or way or selling. it will stain your tub

Lily Rose I use food coloring all the time and mines doesn’t stain either ☺️
That is a siffter not a strainer.
love the video! check out my diy bath bombs!
for the 1000000000 time I don't have citric acid
Well, bath bombs are the reaction of the baking soda and citric acid. Unfortunately, without it, there is no bath bomb.
Corey Jackson...Then Stop repeating yourself and go BUY some. lol
