Today I bought that chocolate molds from a second hand store, 1 dolar! Didn’t know what they were, just bought them for making embeds for soap. Thanks for the recipe!!!! ❤
Hah it’s something I picked up from baking! Bakers like to compare all other ingredients to flour in their formulas, so flour becomes 100% and every other ingredient is relative.
@@SoapUniverse my wife and I just started 4-5 months ago, using all the traditional oils, coconut, avocado, mango, olive… just trying to get our blend right, while experimenting with fragrance and mica. Trying things seeing what we like. Looking forward to the next video.
Great job! Bath bombs seem really hard to nail, and these turned out fabulous! I also really enjoy the catharsis of the very aggressive level of fizz 🤣
Thank you! I might have taken the fizz a little too far 😂 Bath bombs are definitely finicky. One day a recipe will work, and the next day it fails you. I think I’ve made enough bath bombs to know how to tame them a bit, though!
The voodoo worked! those are bubbly the way the kids love them and want me to try to make them :D if only they would stop grabbing them and squishing them in their hands to feel the 'melting'.. xD Those looked amazing btw.. thank you for doing all that work for us.. :)
Thank you! I love the bubbly ones. The more bubbles, the better 😊 Make your bath bombs and hide them above the fridge while they dry! After a day they should be rock hard and immune to kids and their insatiable desire to crush everything 😂
Once again extremely impressed with this video! Well done! You actually got me into soap making and now I have lots of bars for the family to all use! And of course I experimented with the recipes too! Going to give this a try I thinks
This is actually something I’m struggling with! When I use “proper” bath bomb dyes, the water will be super saturated but the foam is basically white. What gives?! I used neon colourants which aren’t water soluble, so I imagine the neons make the foam more colourful because the powder is floating… who knows!
@@SoapUniverse Oof I see ... hmmm it's gotta be because of it floating ... tbh idk how colorful lush ones are because I've not really seen many other than those that have the same "mostly white" pay off
This video gave me nostalgia for when I used to work at Lush and did demonstrations for the customers. I was told each bath bomb cost about 50 pence to make and we were selling them for about £5-8 depending on the type of bath bomb. To be fair they did give us £10 an hour which was roughly 15% more than minimum wage; so the profits were going into paying staff decently and for high quality ingredients. This was 5 years ago so everything has gone up. Bath bombs can easily be £10+ and I'm not paying that for a single use item
That’s very interesting! Did you have a favourite bath bomb or soap? I heard that Outback Mate is super popular and I might want to recreate that one. I agree, $9 CAD is very expensive for a bath bomb… I wouldn’t want to drain the tub! Especially since people report they’re so hit or miss - I’ve heard some of them are even duds and barely fizz at all.
@@SoapUniverse working for Lush, you had to memorise every single product in the shop and know at least 2 ingredients that made each product unique so I had to memorise about 1000+ pieces of information. So I can confidently say that the best product in the entire shop was the dry shampoo. It was the only product that was cheaper than the supermarket versions, it was a powder so it was better for asthmatics who can be triggered by aerosol sprays, and mine lasted for literally like 5 years. In terms of the bath and soap category... My favourite was the comforter bubble bar. I liked the scent profile and I love bubble bath more than bath bombs
@@hadassahm3016 that sounds like a huge pain! But it makes sense because Lush is really trying to push unique ingredients to consumers… maybe to justify the high price? 🤔 Hmm, maybe I can try making a bubble bath powder!
We make bath bombs as one of our main products. They are finicky and I spent 6 months formulating my bomb recipe for oklahomas crazy bipolar weather. We have a slow and foamy recipe where our 3 inch 7 ounce rounds last upwards to 30 minutes. If you delve further into bombs and are ever interested in trying viewer recipes I’d totally share ours for you to try!
Wow, that’s a crazy long time! That’ll last a bath for sure. I’d love to try your recipe! Do you use SLSA as the foaming agent? I’ve found in every recipe that contains it, I have to quarter mine - otherwise it ends up being a giant foam ball that doesn’t fizz.
Skin sticks 👁️👄👁️ I’ve been lied to my whole life! I was taught they are called fingers 😢 Thank you for educating me. I wasn’t expecting to see you in lipstick today either 😅 so many surprises in this video! The bath bomb at the end was incredible and so pretty! You are amazingly talented. I enjoy the science part of the video as well. 😊
Hahah fingers are so boring! Skin sticks is where it’s at 😂 Thank you! I always wonder if people would want to skip over the sciency parts, so I try to keep a good balance of sciency but also entertaining!
Honestly? They look better than the original 💙💛🩷💛💙
That means so much, thank you! Considering I’ve never made bath bombs before, that says a lot 👀

They’ll make great embeds for sure!
♥️💛💙
Love the deep dive into the bath bomb! Thank you!!
💙💛♥️
LMAO, I have the same chocolate mold that I bought to make chocolates with...never did and use it to make bath and body products.
Twins!
I have a bad habit of hobby hopping and try to use dead supplies as much as I can!
wait you're so charismatic and your videos have such nice quality and you only have 1.5k subs?? how's this possible
That’s too sweet, thank you!! 😃
I am shocked this video doesn't have 1 million views. I've made quite a few bath bombs in my day and this one came out so pretty
That’s so sweet, thank you! Well, we’re 1/1000th of the way there 😂
I honestly love a slower bath bomb because I find it so enchanting to watch it dissolve 😅
The percentages not adding up to 100 is bothering me way more than it should
Hah it’s something I picked up from baking! Bakers like to compare all other ingredients to flour in their formulas, so flour becomes 100% and every other ingredient is relative.
Omg that throwback video- thank you for that gem
I’m saving this for later, I’m still working on my own CPS recipe. Very interesting topic, and always entertaining showmanship.
Thank you very much! What type of soap recipe are you making?

What kind of soap did you make? Fragrance favourites??
Legit the first bath bomb video I've seen where there is color pay off in the foam that isn't just "That's kind of purple I guess"

This was so enjoyable and informative. I love your content!
Thank you! 🎉😊
I always appreciate people showing how overpriced store bought products are vs homemade, especially when the outcome is just as good, if not better.
So do I! Especially with name brands like Lush or Bath and Body Works. The price is all in the branding!
Great project! This was fun to watch.
You did great 😀🤓🎉 love it!
Thank you! 😃 ✨

I dislike bath bombs. They feel slimey on my skin, they are a mess to make and most of the ingredients are singular. But good job.
