THIS "here comes the nighttime" is a thousand times, a thousand times better than the cd version!
Best band of the decade.
+187BURNZY They say, heaven's a place
Yeah, heaven's a place and they know where it is
But you know where it is?
It's behind the gate, they won't let you in
And when they hear the beat, coming from the street, they lock the door
But if there's no music up in heaven, then what's it for?
Thats not saying much. There is major dearth of good bands these days
BURNZY187 Well, their new album proves that wrongfully...
what's their new album? p;ease
best band on the planet at the moment.....by miles they've got Everything Now
I love how James Murphy's influence is so strong on all these records. Anything he touches is golden.
Is he a producer or part of the band?
@@iuks2185 producer
"When I hear the beat, the spirit's on me like a live wire!
A thousand horses, running wild in a city on fire!"
God, I love this band. I know there are loads of brilliant young bands out there, but these guys just touch me very deeply. I mean, Wake Up, Rebellion (Lies), Modern Man, this song, geeeeesh! They're so bloody great.
True 2 dat. Every kinda band can touch everybody in whatever time and place. Glad it was this band. I agree, they sing songs that reach us.
This 22 mins is pure genius and entertainment. Congrats Win, your beautiful wife, brilliant brother and sensational band. Nothing else to say but well done, you have entertained me for the the last half hour. now I am switching to Interpol and Untitled. Then, Rest my chemistry
We would get along
LOSER Baby you and me
Followed these for 9 years now , since the very , very early days , and still cannot believe how big they have become, loved everything by them and never in over 10 years have i been so excited by this new album , cannot wait , it will be epic and propel them to be crowned the biggest, modern band on the planet , thank you arcade fire for pushing musical boundaries and having the guts to be different , you truly are an inspiration to us all.
+9 years again.. what do you think?
2020 someones? i really love this video.

#Commiseration🎼🦋🎼!#ASongForANewDay
I can't find good music anymore!!
2022, still here
2022 ♡♡♡♡
Don't let people imitate your unique style Arcade Fire!!! You're too amazing.
24pablox a radiohead and arcade fire fan? Awesome!
i love radiohead an arcade fire too!!!!! best 21st century bands ever!
I forget about how amazing their music is, until I hear it again and I get goosebumps all over.
"Rufus, you totally blew it dude, I'm in Montreal. Where are the wild stallions? Aww, bogus."
I love you Arcade Fire, you're the best band ever.
I love Michael Cera's spanish guys, it's awesome.
solo he visto 2 veces Arcade Fire en vivo y me atreveria a decir que es la mejor banda del siglo 21!!!!
I've seen this video like 3 or 4 times. I like that they did something different. Not only are all of the celebrities in this video ones I enjoy in their respective shows, but I feel they are used to great effect. Who doesn't love bill hader and zach gallifianakis from their careers or especially their guest spots on comedy bang bang, Michael Cera from Arrested Development, etc. also, arcade fire is a phenomenal band and this album, while I didn't like it at first, has quickly become one of my all time favorite albums. I think this video shows the band has a great sense of humor and I applaud them for making a nearly 30 minute video that kills. If you don't like it, I'm sorry, but this is just amazing.
Nice!Thanks for sharing!
I seen Superbad at a Drive Inn and my buddy and I shared a 12 pk of some nasty budlight, of course it tasted great at the time.. I see 6 cops on my short 20 min drive back home, and said, one cop for each beer I drank, great memory..
Arcade Fire has such an interesting and unique sound. I like them.
This song was rad as *hell* in concert.
"Ok we're making a music video/quasi-short film for 3 songs by this band, I want a shitton of big name A-list celebrities standing around doing nothing and someone teach michael cera to speak a new language"
+Ned Ackley yep, that's Roman Coppolla...and in the tech meeting he says..."How many camers? Six? Only? ... Okay between Mike and myself we should be able to get a couple more"
Haha and GO!
Arcade Fire makes Montreal Canada a cool place to be at
George Michael's still working the banana stand in an arcade fire video.
The actual album itself is fantastic. Skip the video and download (and/or buy, hopefully) the full thing. I'm enjoying it more than than any album since their debut.
10 years since. Can't belive how time flies.
Bono, Ben Stiller, and James Defranco wow! I cant believe they had all of them in this music video!!!
First time i heard about arcade fire was at the 2005 U2 vertigo tour.
Wake up was the opening song of the comcert
James Franco*
This live show is mixed so much better than the actual album. I really wish their studio albums sounded more like this. Still a fantastically amazing album. Been listening to it non-stop.
This video is like some weird fever dream
Arcade Fire Forever
Win is too. And I love the way he dances for her.
I saw this live right after SNL, it rocked my world!!!!!
I can't believe I haven't come across this sooner!
Me too... two years later.
And 55 years into my childhood.
This is one of the best "Music Videos" ever created. A masterpiece. I love everything about it. Thank you.
This band is a breath of fresh air. They're very original, unique and my god these songs are catchy. Great beats, melodies and performers. One of the best bands in the world, imo.
These are the definitive versions of these songs. All are great. "We Exist" arrangement is out of this world. "Normal Person" chorus is explosive!
The best band of oír 21st century
Carlos, por que te gusta la música emocional? lol
+hannahrhcp he killed that shit...and the bannanitas! Carlos is actually the house dj on loan to the production for the tech specs...and he had the keys for the early mornings
+Chris Kralik bananitas!!!!!!!!!!!
A beautiful and clever album.
Everything Owen Pallett does is absolutely majestic.
Here comes the night time lyric is so soothing like the dark is comforting. It helps to relax, finding comfort in the dark where dreams can reach heaven.
I've watched this many times - I love this live. I hope they include it on the album.
This is amaging. Can't stop singing Here comes the night time in my head... the best piece of music I have heard for many years.
Absolutely great track. I'm definitely pleased with the new album. They switch up their sound but stay true to it at the same time and that's hard to do.
The Arcade Fire Brigade. The only fire brigade in the world that doesn't put fires out. They start 'em!
I am seeing this band for the first time tomorrow night in Massachusetts. I have been looking forward to it for a long time
It was a great show, Bob.. hope you enjoyed it as much as I did
Here comes the night time! YAY! x
I freakin love this video.
Am I alone in thinking that Arcade Fire have gotten better with each consecutive album?
Such energy, such musical layers, such singing! WELCOME BACK ARCADE FIRE! I can't wait to hear the entire album!
The Suburbs is a great album. Maybe did not have standout tracks as good as some off of Funeral but as an album from beginning to end it is just fantastic. The way the album goes through so many changes and styles without ever sounding odd or out of place is amazing - half light, month of may , we used to wait , deep blue, and then sprawl. LOVE The Suburbs
A lot of people have criticized Arcade Fire for challenging traditional norms of music, but I definitely see where they are going with this album, postmodernism anyone? Where nothing is certain and categories have lost their meaning, where individuals live in a hyper reality, where anything can become anything. Arcade Fire is merely channeling what reality is becoming or what is left of the narratives or frameworks of meaning, reality and music, just look at for example of them entering a "Salsateque" club where clearly no salsa is played, canadian accent by james franco, spliced random clips of nonsense, a staged choreographed audience, spaced is occupied and meaning is altered and given new meaning.... this is the postmodern music video or is it?
Bugger off. You dont need that amount of bullshit to explain why this is a creative band. It's just music.
Feralz Hurlingtown Exactly, sometimes people really do just over-analyse
so, who is the designer? their clothes is amazing!
Heard they were Made in México
Renata Morales
This song screams "FIFA soundtrack." I honestly am surprised they did not pick this one up. Kinda glad though.
I'm diggin this new sound and getting the Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive vibe. People stuck on the Suburbs will undoubtedly be missing out on the party.
He's a legend because people know who he is. Even you do. Doesn't matter if you like him or not, he's made a huge name for himself.
Arcade fire have a sense of humour. Who knew
Unbelievably brilliant song....best performance ever at Marlay Park !!
A possibly overlooked tidbit: the soundtrack to the video's Festi horror movie is Joan of Arc in slo mo.
i'm living for micheal cera handing the mic to win like that
Cannot believe that 10% of people who have checked out this short film don't like it ....It is exciting, entertaining and Arcade Fire show that their sound doesn't stagnate... They move on from album to album... I think this material is fantastic..
This is amazing!! But you know what isn't? The new comment setup...
Has this not been done before in the 80's??? Roxy Music.
sort of
+Del Wilson My thoughts as well. Although, I am so thankful for Arcade Fire's direction here. Kind of like a new Roxy Music album in a way.
Yep. Glad someone said it.
is that micheal cera speaking pretty good spanish
Really bad spanish actually
Do you mean Rainn Wilson, aka Dwight Schrute?
@@martynarthur215 he was speaking French
He studied Spanish for six hours a day for six months before being in a Spanish-language film.
Good Band, these guys can rock or jam as they use to say.
I haven't watched this in years... I forgot how good this version of We Exist is!
It's like Duran Duran, meets the Kink's. I like it.
Fuckin stupendous
I went to one of your concerts and you had more people on stage than in the audience! You don't need 3 drummers!!! Lmfao
I saw Arcade Fire once in xacabeo Spain. When I was wait a concert i'm not expeting for a great concert but in the end I was amazed. really. they are one the best bands in the world. I'm sorry for my english. I'm portuguese
groundbreaking, BIG, awsome, fresh... hear the album version a few times, then go out at night dancing... you will get it then.
Fueron a que les bordaran sus trajes a Tenango, Hidalgo o qué?
De hecho su diseñadora de vestuario es mexicana. ☺️☺️
this is so coooolll
I thought I'd found a reflektor, but it was just Michael Cera.
this is way more than just music. that`s a whole concept within this stuff... god i`m so curious about the album now...
Excellent, bands like this give us hope who like the finer things in music!
Besides, having amazing music and music videos, this band is so fucking awesome! They are super pro-choice, respect other peoples opinions, and want to save the environment :) they are really the band of the future! love them :)
+Juliana Cuellar ...and Regine is doing monthly fundraising nights for Haitian earthquake rebuilding. these guys are for real
+Juliana Cuellar its called Canada
***** Canadians are the best
Juliana Cuellar One thing I particularly like is that you cannot foresee the direction they are going, they are so inventive. Like Roxy Music and David Bowie in the 70s and 80s.
So many Nickleback types don't like Arcade Fire. I'm okay with this.
How does someone dislike this
hell yeah
2021 BAYBEEEE LESSGO!!! I remember watching this in hs and experiencing such intense happiness and goosebumps. Incredibly thankful I discovered arcade fire. The music takes me back to a time that was so much simpler. A time where all I had to do was scroll on tumblr, mindlessly search the web and play Xbox. What I would do to have it all back….
All 3 songs played here are the definitive versions - especially 'We Exist'. They slay the studio tracks!
laugh out loud is an overused term.. but 2:47 made me Laugh Out Loud!!!!
I want this on BLU ray aaand also I want to go to a Live late night show like this and chill and blast the night away with my lady on the dance floor~!
Slowed down Joan of arc was amazing.
yes, yes it was.
19:03 - 19:20 The highest peak in the history of music
Can't get enough of these guys. You don't often see bands having genuine fun with their music these days. Nice cameo from Eric Wareheim at the end too.
indie reggaeton
omg wth with you.
Best album of 2013. I admit most their other stuff is forgettable, this album will be on my Ipod for years to come! Right along side other timeless artists like Radiohead, Tool, Gorillaz, Talking heads.
Agree on this as 2013's best but... the rest is forgettable? Seriously?
For me its between this and The North Borders by Bonobo, both brilliant :)
>listening to Tool
>ever
Griffin Jurisson this isnt a imageboard you fuckup, tool is good.
***** >Tool
>not edgy teen music
lol the hipster outrage is hilarious
I am glad NPR talked about. 56 years old but love it.
This is worth it for the last minute & a half.
I'm here for James Franco :D
I wish there was no cameo's and the crowd was not sooo fake.
and UN-fortunately Montreal does not really dance like this to live music.
Agree no need for the cameos, all seems a bit forced really, though Michael Cera is as always hilarious.
WTF Bono
Watching this video was the best thing that ever happened to me. period.
Remember when this played after "SNL" one night? They were the evening's musical guest and bought a half-hour of airtime immediately after the show to get this on TV. It was so unexpected and wonderful.
Listen carefully and learn what music means
"Escuchando esto bananitos" XD
i like their music but i'd have to use all my will power not to punch everyone one of them in the face
I feel EXACTLY the same way about them! Especially the frontman, his vibe is so not getting along with mine. But their music is really good.
I think that's the idea with this video, purposely ridiculous
nope, I don't see what you mean
me either, their sound is really good, their trip too hahaha just medicated.
Hanan Andreea Bitar I really think it's mostly his stage persona. Check out some of his interviews, he's totally different.
Reflektor has aged in the best way possible, what a masterpiece.
They keep impressing me. I love the suits--so Haitian! Sac pa se, Haiti!!!
Dear God this is what modern music has become, if you give us back Kurt Cobain, I promise I'll be a better person. Amen.
Jberrybear haha you're right man kurt suxxxxx, they rock ;-)
curt cobain wasnt good while he was alive. So, thank god thats over.
Arcade Fire will never be as influential as Nirvana, period. Partly because Win continues to insist upon singing instead of writing the tunes and stepping aside. However, this ain't bad. Not "amazing", but a pretty good time with a fun video. It's time for the Millennials to find their Robert Lange-equivalent and kick some of these hipster bands up to the next level.
ElusiveChannel
Kurt Cobain is a Pixie wannabe who can't sing. He was the anti-Rick Astley so he deserves praise for that, but musically, pretty thin
Both Arcade Fire and Nirvana have their merits, but they are completely different styles of music. To compare them at all makes about as much sense as comparing Motörhead to Bob Dylan.
this is such a rare thing that NBC did to have a visiting band music special right after their live show. I watched it as it ran, amazing.
NBC could try do this more often.
Can't wait for the album to come out!!!
Much love to my peeps in Canada!!!
Never gave them much thought until I saw this ... let’s get back to the rocking arcade fire please .
Hey. Old guy here. I like 'em. Gotta respect any artist that doesn't take themselves too seriously. A problem I see Bono has overcome nicely.
