One kinda cool thing about this series is the power scaling. Fran and her Master may look pretty OP when cutting through armies of cannon fodder and lower level enemies, but that scale still goes WAY higher than them. So if they end up going against a higher level enemy, they're suddenly fighting for their lives while getting badly punished for every tiny mistake. Fran getting "disarmed" because they got overconfident and didn't fully plan ahead was a real good example of that.
