- I’m often asked how I go about planning my solo trips. While I have a general idea of a state and direction anywhere from 1 week to 1-2 months in advance, I’ve been enjoying planning the details - where I’m sleeping, seeing, hiking, etc - more on the fly these days. In this video I walk you through my process while on my latest longer trip (one full week) back in August, which I just wrapped the travel vlogs from. Happy to answer any further questions if you have them. Thanks for watching ❤︎

I remember your packing and unpacking videos from YEARS ago. And I just have to comment and say, even as an observer from far far away, how beautiful your evolution has been. I hope you look back and can see it too. You seem so much more calmer, relaxed, settled. I cannot imagine old Jen from those days talking about travel on the fly. Growth looks fabulous on you, Jen. x
Planning is almost as much fun as traveling! Safe travels🛻
It can be for sure! But for some and at some times, I think it can be stressful. Having a skeleton plan helps me feel confident to plan more on the go
I’ve missed you. Been waiting on an organization video.
Sorry , I may have missed it, but did you share how you manage your car for it's short/long term parking? This will be part of our travel in a couple of years and I was curious where you leave it.
Yes, I've been wondering the same!
I love this! The more confidence you get the easier planning will be. You look amazing ❤
How do you find places to keep blue ?
Thanks for sharing, some really good tips and advice. As time goes on I get more relaxed and just wing it because I just don't know where I'll be. I've not used Airbnb in a long time and really stopped because of all those fees. I thought they gave you the total price now but looks like that is not the case. If I filter price to under $100 but then with all those fees ... forget it. It is nice to have laundry, dryer and do a deep clean. Love getting tips from locals, lots of hidden gems that way.
i was actually shocked when Jen showed the add on costs on Air B&B-i had no idea-i travel a lot but stick to Hilton where I am a Diamond Honors member
Was there any Harvest Host places along your root, you could've used? I heard they have lots of them all across US.
I probably missed this but, where do you store your vehicle?
I don’t know if I missed it while watching lol, but what about making sure you’ve got gas in your car?
Love your videos. Good and helpful info. Thank you. You take care and keep being you. 😊
Thanks for sharing! Very informative!
I really hope you're insuring your car properly. If your car gets stolen or damaged, and it's been parked in an area that is not your home or local to you, the insurance company will question and could deny a claim because you did not indicate that the vehicle is not kept at your residence on a regular basis. I used to work as an insurance underwriter.
I so appreciate you sharing how you “plan” while on the road. I’d love to see a “how I pack for day hikes” video. (have you done one of those already?) Anywho - enjoy the road!
I have shown what I pack in my day packs in several travel vlogs lately but it’s been a couple of years since I’ve done a dedicated video. I’ll add it to my list to film! 🎒
@@WithWonder yay!!
Why don’t you get a camper van?
great planning suggestions Jen, thanks!
Thank you this vlog was very helpful
I'm so glad to hear that ☺️
Love your videos but I tend to move on when it is an old video, meaning you recorded it over a month ago. Not sure others feel this way, I prefer current information.
I understand but pretty much all of my content here is on a 4-6 week delay. I still plan travel this way even a month or two later or I wouldn’t share.
She’s a solo traveling female, it’s smart to not let a bunch of strangers know her exact location.
Very helpful information. Thank you for sharing.
You look so beautiful, happy and healthy.
Thank you ☺️
Very helpful info, thank you!
Seems you don't have children anymore.
She just doesn’t share them because of so many weirdos
@@Paula-xp7ve OH OK. Good idea.
Yes. It’s very sus how she’s always on these road trips while the kids stay with don and wife #2.
@@mst3kanita And how is this your business??
