Glad the topic with mission challenges was discussed. I remember everyone always saying it's "the best 2 years." As in the best 2 years OF your life. I never agreed with that sentiment. I always thought that marriage and kids would be better. I always said "it was the best 2 years FOR your life." Discussed this with a friend before he left, it helped him serve and return.
people that leave the church really overlook the blessing that is the Gospel, the direction the hope the unity. By the fruits we shall know the truth of these things. People can say what they want but noone can dispute the fruits of the Gospel.

tears. Just getting home from the hospital. Every day is physically hard. I'm trying to read my scriptures regularly. Some days pass without that spiritual injection This helps me to get back on the path.
I fully agree, often the young ones find it difficult to make the scripture doable, real and applicable to real life. I love teaching and testifying to the the youth and young adults about the value of doing the little things consistently. Thank you 👏👏
I really love this discussion. I don't miss a day reading my scriptures, but even so, life is hard. However, I think if I weren't doing the daily reading, prayer, and Come Follow Me podcasts, it would be way worse! Turning away from the Lord just doesn't make sense for me because He keeps me going.
About time some young men share their truth about struggling on the mission. I also found it incredibly hard and wanted to go home 😅 but everyone else seems to think its the best two years or 18 months 😑
