  • Come Follow Me 2024 The Book of Mormon July 8-14 Alma 23-29
The Lord relentlessly pursued the Lamanites, even as they proved time and time again, that they were uninterested in repenting.

How can we follow His example?

I may have mentioned this before? Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
It's what we do with our sun & rain that tells the Lord which category to put us in. Good or evil. Just or unjust.
Following His example means we don't give up on ourselves & extend love & mercy to others, even when might feel justified in doing so.

@@dgt8467 I think it was the giving up part that really hit me this week! There have been so many times in my life where I have felt like it was the "end" for someone, but this story really reminded me that anyone can figure it out!

I was very touched by this message.
I loved the 3 chances you gave that the Lamanites had to repent & trun to the Lord, especially the last one -- the words of Aaron & the inability to win battles against the Nephites. Its Alma the younger's conversion story, multiplied by 1000's.
Here are my 3 favorite takeaways from tonight.
    1. God is in relentless pursuit of us.
    2. The Lords love is deeper than we can fathom.
    3. The Lord used their chains to wake them up.
What a great way to end a great day. Thank you sooo much.

I wonder if Aaron ever found out that his words came back to them later and helped to change them! Hope everything is well!
